Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 (The Explanation)

-Kazuma woke up in the same bed as last time. He turned to his left and saw the strange woman again. Since his knowledge of the world was at the level of a Grand Master Elementalist, he was able to identify the strange woman as a druid. Druids are known as beautiful women who protect nature from harm. Kazuma noticed that the druid was smiling at him, and was confused to why.

Kazuma: Why are you smiling at me.

-When Kazuma said that, he was surprised that his voice sounded so different. It was deeper than ever before.

Druid: I didn't expect it to accept you.

Kazuma: What do you mean...Oh you mean that ball thing.

Druid: Yes. Long ago, before people even existed, the druids lived a live of happiness and harmony. There were trees and plants everywhere, and the water was never tainted. Then, humans came. At first we thought they were harmless. They even helped us druids keep the forest and everything in it safe. Until that day came. A huge cloud of darkness covered the land. Demons started raining down from the clouds. Us druids didn't want to lose the forest so we fought the demons. Even the humans helped us. At first we were winning, but the rain of demons just seemed to never stop. Soon we got tired and we started loosing countless amounts of people. We thought all hope was lost, but then, our savior came. She is known as the "Mother Of Life". This woman was not only able to stop the rain and destroy all the demons, but she also made a weapon for us to use just in case this ever happened again.

Kazuma: Was that the ball that I touched...

Druid: Yes. It was. Anyway, before she disappeared, she told us druids that we needed to protect the ball. Only one person could have it. We asked the woman who is worthy of the ball and she said that the ball would pick a person by its self. Lots of humans wanted the ball because they heard that it was and amazing weapon that could kill even the strongest of demons. When the druids said no, the humans started to get mad. They went from asking for the ball to demanding it. The druids still said no. Soon humanity evolved, from just some humans living in the forest to humans living in houses and kings living in kingdoms. Humanities lust for power was never quenched.

Kazuma: I see. So I guess I was the lucky human who was chosen to to wield the amazing power of the ball.

Druid: That's why I was smiling. You are the one who shall bring back peace to humanity.
