It was decided and I started working earnestly. Crack the egg into the bowl. I was lucky this kitchen got a big bowl.
"Need a hand?"
"I can managed, it will be a simple and light breakfast"
Madame Anne nodded and showed me a gentle smile. She walked out from the kitchen and checked on the back yard.
I check on the milk and it is still raw. Drinking raw milk could be dangerous, it can lead to many days of diarrhea, stomach cramping or severe life-threatening illness. It contains harmful germs.
I started to boil the milk in a pot and cooled it by placing the pot inside a bowl of water. I put it aside to have it cool down before I could mix it with the egg.
I need to make a whisk later.
For now I will beat the eggs with a fork and cover it with a lid. I slice the bread and put it aside. It takes time to have the milk cool down.
Watching the sky from the window gave a good sign. It's bright and no sign of rain will fall to the earth. But why the village flooded by the river.
"Morning Vierra. Why are you staring at the sky?"
"Lana, I thought you will be here this evening"
"I was excited and couldn't wait longer. So I just rush out when I got all the things"
"I am so happy to see you again. Let's talk inside. Come in"
Lana gets inside and helps me prepare the breakfast. It's faster since she has a skill in cooking too.
Somehow I just taught her how to make omelette mushroom and the french toast.
She said she never had soft and fluffy bread before. She can never imagine eating it with egg and gold ink since gold ink was precious.
"Even noble could hardly taste this"
We have extra dishes for this morning. I was relieved when everyone ate happily. Lana keeps helping me in the kitchen.
"Lana, do you want to work for us today? You could stay for tonight and going home tomorrow"
"Madame Anne, it's my pleasure. But I'm not sure if I could be any helpful for you."
"Of course you are, you can help me clean all those rooms. By the way V, can you help Baro this evening?"
"I thought he is gonna go to the black forest to check the river down there"
"I am not convinced to let him deal with it alone. Can you go with him? Besides Lana will be here helping me"
"Alright , I will follow him"
Madame Anne gave me a gem that could teleport me directly into the blackforest entry.
She knows I can't ride horses, and she wants to make sure I can safely come home.
Baro has his own gem, but he wants to ride horses. It's more manly and adventures for him.
Anne nag him almost an hour before he finally agreed to teleport with me.
The black forest has lots of fruits and vegetables that are not in my knowledge. But because there are important things to do now I restrict myself to roaming and testing each of it.
"We will come again another time."
Boru was watching me staring at the bush that was filled with yellow and round fruit. I thought it was a lemon but it is smaller than the lemon that I know.
"is it obvious? I am sorry"
Boru laughs and shakes his head.
