"You know me?" I was getting curious.
Nurhan looked relaxed. He stood up and walked to the balcony outside, next to the dining area. I took another sip of the orange juice and followed him behind. His posture looked confident as he placed both of his hands behind his back, on top of one another.
The grass in his garden were all green. There were a variety of fresh flowers planted and its fragrance caught my nose. Nurhan was staring at his man-made pond with koi fishes swimming around luxuriously.
"Of course, sweetheart. You're Tasha, you have your own small family business. Different kinds of shawls or hijabs. Am I right?" He turned around and asked me for a confirmation.
"My business!" I almost forgot about it. I remembered that half of the shares I gave it to my fiance after my parents died. If they thought that I was dead, then Ridhwan and Nurul must had owned the business now!
"Don't worry, I've bought your business." Nurhan remained straight-faced and said it simply, but firmly.
I held his arm. "Bu-but why?"
"Because you're the real owner." He continued, totally unruffled. "When you were unconscious for the past two days, Ridhwan sold your business to the person that could bid the highest. Now, he's enjoying himself with your friend in Maldives. According to my PA, they'll be back next month."
"A whole month? And what about you? How did you manage to find and fall in love with me?" I was taken aback by Nurhan's words. I was very sure that Ridhwan and Nurul sold my business off at a very high price to the point they could go to Maldives for a month!
Nurhan remained unfazed by the flood of questions. He took my hand off his arm and held it warmly. "You saved me."
"Me? When?" I could not quite grasp what was happening.
That silenced him for a moment. Nurhan chuckled with obvious delight. How cute! His eyes were shining brightly. They were so crystal clear.
"You bought me food back then. Probably seven to eight years ago?" There was a twinkle in his eyes as he gazed at me. Nurhan continued as I still looked confused. "I left my wallet in the car. You paid for my food and drinks at East Coast Park. It's okay if you can't remember, I was dressed like a beggar. Tried to run away from my parents."
"Are you insane, Nurhan?!"
