The next day Brandon picked up Melody from her place and they went to office together. Today they only have half a day's work as the company has recently finished an important project and the employees are given two days leave after today. Today they are finishing the reports and final touches. They finished before lunch and set off to enjoy two days of extra leave.
Brandon took Melody out for lunch at a French restaurant nearby. They decided to opt for French food today out of curiosity and interest in French cuisine. They ordered chicken cordon bleu, lyonnaise salad, potatoes dauphinoise for main course and appetizer, and tarte tatin for dessert and paired their meal with red wine. They had a scrumptious lunch and talked over the things they planned to do during the next two days.
"So, Melody what do you plan to do tomorrow and the day after during this short break?"
"I plan on visiting the bookstore to grab a couple of storybooks for me to read during my free time, go grocery shopping and rest at home. What about you Brandon?"
" I am going to look through a couple of documents and I am not sure what I exactly want to do as my friends are not back from overseas yet."
"Brandon oh Brandon... It is always work for you... You should get enough rest you know... Your health is important."
"I will listen to you darling".
"Wh..what did you just call me?" asked Melody while blushing.
"Darling! What's wrong in calling you that when we are currently dating? I don't date you just for fun Melody... I am serious about our relationship." he replied with a smile.
Melody was silent and didn't know what to reply as she was shy.
"Let's go get you a dress for the party, shall we?"
They went to a famous boutique owned by Brandon's friend Seline. It was called "SGC" an acronym for "Specially Gorgeous and Charming".
"Brandon how nice to see you after so long!" said Seline.
"Nice to see you too."
"Who is this young lady?"
"This is Melody my girlfriend."
"The Melody that you always talk about?" whispered Seline to Brandon to which Brandon responded with a nod and smile.
"Hello Melody! I am Seline, Brandon's friend and also the founder of this brand and boutique. Nice to meet you!"
"Hello Seline, nice to meet you too."
"May I know what function are you both attending so that I can get you both something stunning and suitable?"
"A birthday party" replied Melody.
"Just wonderful!! I just finished a couple set of suits that might match your theme and will definitely look amazing on both of you!! I will go and get it now and you both can take a seat here and wait for me." said Seline excitedly.
"C..couple set?" asked Melody while hesitating a bit.
"Yes pls " replied Brandon.
" Why are you hesitating Melody?Is something bothering you? I really want to try it out with you."
"I was just feeling shy as I am not so used to it yet. Let's try it out together, Brandon" replied Melody with a smile.
Brandon took a seat while Melody went to see the accesories section while waiting for Seline to take the set. She happen to see a pair of cufflinks that will match Brandon well she thought. She just wanted to turn around and ask for his opinion when she bumped into someone. She immediately apologized and looked up but was surprised and taken aback when she saw who it was... It was her ex boyfriend who cheated on her with her ex bestie.
