Chapter 4 - Forever Loss Your Sight

[R 18+, Read at your own risk.]

His eyes shot open, waking his entire system, but he can't see anything. He felt a scrunching pain on his forehead that might have been caused by a forceful whack of an object. His sight travelled across the room that was too dark with no sign of light from any direction.

When his sight adjusted to the darkness, he saw silhouettes of a table and a chair in front of him. He also noticed the unbearably quiet surrounding that even normal pace of breathing echoed through the four corners of the room.

'This can't be a cell. I am sure it wasn't.'

The more he stayed at the middle of the room the more he felt uncomfortable. Everything inside the room gave off an eerie feeling. Clearly, nothing posed danger but somehow it was lethally suffocating. He loosened his tie hoping to grasp an even amount of air but failed at the end. The darkness was like a whirlpool at the middle of the sea dragging him at the bottom of abyss.

He gathered all his courage to stand but stumble on the ground after taking a few steps. A loud THUD resonated all across the room. His eyes directly shot on the chair behind the table. He realized why he was here and remembered how he ended up in such an unsettling state...

Earlier he was having his decent breakfast at Casa Leila across the street of ISON. He was flipping some documents for the meeting later. His eyes was fixed on it, studying every figures presented while sipping his coffee diligently.

While he was skimming the papers he was holding, a lady in white loose top and a pastel pink pencil skirt arrived in front of him. She resembled a doll with her innocent smile plastered on her face. He was in daze by the beauty in front of him. He thought that the heaven might have descended the daughter of the goddess of beauty, Aphrodite.

"Mr. Wane I am Secretary Melina, President Ali would like to have a brief talk with you… privately." She said with respectful manner.

"There is no need to be overly polite Secretary Melina, okay, please lead the way." With just a single glance, of course he knew who she was. No one couldn't notice someone who seated elegantly and beautifully in front of the CEO's office from day and night. Someone will never knew unless, that person was too primitive and live under the caves of the forest.

As they enter the company lobby, everyone who passed by their direction greeted her with full of respect, especially men. They never wanted to offend someone who was so close to the CEO. She might as well become the future wife of their President, if he still courts the idea of marriage. Who knows?

They stepped inside the private presidential lift where only handful of people could use. She swiped a card and entered a code before scanning her fingerprint on the screen. He thought that they would directly head to the CEO's office but instead they stopped at the 9th floor where the conference room of the executives was located.

He wanted to ask why in the conference and not in the CEO's but he shrug the idea right away. No one have the right to question the President's command otherwise the consequence is unimaginable.

As they arrived in front of the conference room, Melina excused herself and made a bee line for him. Upon entering the conference, he was sceptical why it was empty. There is no President Ali present, not even a single person sitting on the chairs. And also the room was dimly lit, and only the two lamps at the corner was illuminating the large room.

When he was about to turn to the door to ask the lady outside, a sudden smack hit his back that instantly made him lose his consciousness...

Now, everything was clear. His whole body begin to tremble with fear. He doesn't know why but he can't help it. Dang it!

Damn that secretary! She really sold me out.

The swivel… It's CEO Ali! He was so sure of that. He intently stared the chair with full of anticipation. It was as if he turned into a child who was waiting to gain his sweets for being such a good boy.

He didn't know whether to feel excited or anxious now that he would be able to face the almighty CEO Ali. No one in the country had ever got a glimpse of his face. Everybody, included him, was looking forward to see him in person. But they always failed to even have a sight of his finger nails.

His identity was too mysterious that even the most notorious paparazzi can't hold a single picture of him. And the database that held his private information all vanished like a dust without any terms of recovery. Even his meetings was taken care of by his subordinates magnificently that it didn't have to require his presence.

The thought of him being too secretive was really odd…

Speculations arose about what is his real identity and it pricked everyone. There were even gossips spreading like wild fire across different industries especially in the business world that Ali was a disfigured oldie that is why he can't show himself out of shame. But, nonetheless, nobody dared to voice it out loud. None of them could handle the storm that they might face if they offended him.

His joy doesn't last long. His eyes full of confetti and amazement turned sceptical. Why someone with high ranks as Mr. Ali would want to meet some no name executive like me? He couldn't figure out why he was here. He must not have let his guard down from the very start. Surveying his dark surrounding, everything was all suspicious

Fuck! I need to get the hell out of here!

When he was about to crawl on the other side an enormous screen behind the chair suddenly turned on. It was so huge that it covered the whole wall. Rays of light reflected all across the room, revealing everything inside.

His gaze instantly landed on his right where men with a strong built was standing. And the most noticeable was their unique and identical silver masks. They were just standing there without any movement guarding the four corners of the room. All of them were carrying a fearsome aura that no one can stand.

He bet that both his legs have already lost its capability to stand out of nervousness. Bids of sweats were already forming on his forehead. And his back was dumped by the idea of what they would do with him.

What is the meaning of this?

He was so composed earlier but now all his wits liquefy, like a jelly, by just facing the burly men around. All terms of survivability turned to ashes.

Oh mighty Lord of Gods save me, I promise to surrender all my vices and never ever do it again…

"Please, don't hurt me. I did nothing wrong! I swear. So please let me out." Wane said with a cracked voice. It was as if he was wronged by treating him this way. All he could do was to beg them to let him out of this unbearable place.

The screen displayed a photograph of a building after that a short film appeared. Mr. Wane's jaw dropped to the ground when he saw what was being played. It was a CCTV video from the old building that he was so familiar with.

How could this be possible?

On the screen, it was clearly seen that Don Theodor gave a black suite case to someone. The screen flashed another shot from other angle and Wane could be clearly seen opening the suite case with a large sum of money. He inspected it as if analyzing an equation with all eagerness before handing a tiny flash drive. In the other footage he was seen while entering and exiting the building accompanied by Theo's assistant. After a short while the footage was cut, no more videos to show.

In just a blink of an eye all men surrounded him and pointed a gun on his head. Their stance aimed to kill. Mr. Wane was caught off guard by the situation. His brain denied functioning anymore. His body trembled with tremendous fear and anytime soon he would pee his pants because of the unbearable tremor.

"Please… please! Don't shot." His voice was in its highest pitch. It can shatter glass into pieces.

"Mr. Al- Boss… spare my life please, I was wrong but I will never do it again." He was already kowtowing countless times. He set aside all his pride knowing that he was in the brink of death.

"Really? Then can you tell me what you did wrong?" The voice was light like a feather swaying on the air but still it sends chills on his spine. He was stunned by the soft voice of a… girl? Mr. Ali was a man but why was his voice sounds like a girl? He thought that the tremor that he felt was the main reason why his brain tricked him to heard him differently.

Yes! I was only hallucinating…

This is a chance! Mr. Ali wants to hear my side. He carefully chose what he was going to say.

"I was forced to hand the development project of City X in exchange of my daughter's hospitalization fee. I know what I did was very wrong but it is my only chance to gain easy money… for my child, my Lauren…

Mr. Ali, sooner you'd also be going to be a father just like me so I knew you will do everything for the sake of your family no matter what it takes. I was in between of my ethics and me being a father at that time. And I chose to be a father. I am so sorry. Please don't let my child grew without a guidance of her dad… please." His said in between of sobs.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Alice who was sitting in front of him almost cried because of his heart melting story however she wasn't stupid enough to believe his lies. She bet that if he only chose the path of an actor then he might have already won the Oscars multiple times. Ha-ha! Does he think that I'll believe his shit?

Right after the claps, one of the men who were surrounding him pulled the trigger and shot the ground.

BANG!

Fuck! what the hell!?

"I gave you chance but you chose to spit some lies Mr. Wane…" Alice was getting impatient listening to his drama. Her hand already itches to use her toy.

"I wasn't lying!" He said almost shouting.

"Really Mr. Wane… or must I say Mr. Kier?"The voice turned cold. After hearing his name he was stunned but he quickly recovered. In just a flash, his pitiful act vanished through the air. The air surrounding him reversed in an instant. No more fear, no more lies.

"HAHAHA!" A laugh of a hyena was heard.

"You really are a genius Mr. Ali. I thought that you're an idiot. It seems like I underestimated you." All of the begging was gone and was replaced by arrogance.

"Hey! Baldy! Why were you always hiding in the dark?" Word per word, everything was in a mocking tone.

"Was that because of your ugliness that's been forbidden by the heavens? Oh! Sorry… did I hit it right?" Kier was not making this out of naughtiness but this the only tactic that he could think of.

Making him angry and let his emotions override him. Then I can create a perfect escape plan.

"Kill him." A faint voice was heard. Alice was already so tired of him. She really needs rest.

"Hey don't be so petty old man. I was just kidding." Kier said as if normally having a conversation. He doesn't mind the guns pointed to him anymore.

While those men were still waiting for orders, he grabbed the chance and snatched one of the guns they're holding and automatically pulled the trigger. Bangs of gun was heard and light sparks flicker through the dark.

"If you want to kill me then I will take you to hell with me! HAHAHA!" He pulled the trigger again and again until it was out of bullets. Now he was happy to die knowing that he fulfilled his task.

"Are you done?" Alice was really proud of his braveness. Tsk! Sure he was either idiot or fool or maybe both. His marksmanship was accurate but his eyes were blind.

"You…" He was still alive? Kier was stunned after hearing his voice again. He was so sure that his shots were accurate enough to kill anybody.

"You know what Mr. Kier… I wanted my enemy to see my face before they lost their sight forever." Alice placed the knife down on the table before she took her favourite toy. Her Dessert Eagle Pistol DE50SRMMB.

After a short while, the lights turned on with an instant. Everyone take a step back removed their masks one by one. Kier was surprised of what was unfolding in front of him. He almost spit blood after recognizing all of them.

How could this be?

He cannot believe what he saw just now. His eyes might also have played some tricks! Yes. It might have just liked his ears.

Right before he could even convince himself. A lady in black fitted dress walks in front of him. A deadly smirk was forming on her lips. Her eyes never leave him, staring at him as if she could see trough his soul.

"Mr. Kier, don't look at me like that. " The lady snapped taking him back to his senses.

What is this girl doing in here? Fuck! Are they toying me? He was so furious that his veins almost bulge out of his forehead.

"Oh! Let me introduce myself. I am Alison Ruiz but you can call me Alice but much preferably Mr. Ali." A smile was displayed on her beautiful face but it doesn't last long before her expression turned lethally murderous. Her eyes flashed dark shades for multiple times.

Mr. Ali… a girl? No way.

"Pfft…HAHAHA! You think you can fool me pretty lady? Fine, fine enough of the drama. Where's the exit?" Kier thought that everything was just a play and he cannot believe that he submitted himself to something so ridiculous. He turned around and tried to find the way out.

"Turn back and you'd find it." Alice said with a playful tone. She raised her gun and pointed it right at the back of his head.

Kier turned to face Alice but before he could have a full sight of Alice. A bullet landed on his right eye. Blood was dripping all over his cheek.

"AAAAHHH! You... daughter of a bitch what did you do!" - Kier

"Rule number one, respect your boss and rule number two, know your enemy's identity."

Alice raised her arm again and aimed his left eye. She was never been patient with anybody.

BANG!

"Once you saw me, you'd forever loss your sight."
