Chapter 43 - The Battle Of Fates III

"Neophytes, are you ready?!" The Announcer yelled as the energy around the stadium infected him with vigorous hype.

"Ready" They both replied in unison.

"Let the battle of Fates Begin!"

Daniel and Marin ran at each other at their top speed. Marin's eyes opened wide as he heard the wind roaring as Daniel moved. Marin hurriedly dodged to the left, as he could barely keep up with Daniel's speed. As he rolled he felt the wind brush past his head.

Marin gasped mentally.

Daniel thought to himself as he spun on his left foot, roundhouse kicking toward Marin.

Internally yelled before he was barely able to cross his arms in front of him.

*Pmph

Marin was sent skidding against the stage floor. Dust and debris scattered around him. He shakily looked around, but his vision was blurred, and his head throbbed.

"Woah! Daniel beat him with only two moves!" The commoners on stage began to chant and discuss, witnessing one of theirs being so talented gave them a lot of pride.

Daniel walked up to him, slowly helping him lie on his side. "Do you want to continue Marin?" Daniel's voice carried a bit of concern and guilt.

Daniel thought to himself.

"I concede, you truly are very strong Daniel. Good fight!" Marin spoke with energy despite his injuries, as several Healers moved him off stage.

Daniel's eyes went wide as he witnessed their abilities. Marins' body was simply being suspended and moved, the air beneath him was distorted as if some sort of energy was being used to keep him afloat.

"Neophyte Sentinel Daniel is Victorious!" The crowd went wild as the announcer yelled at the top of his lungs. His forehead beaded with sweat.

As Daniel made his way off the Stage he looked up at Enfred and The Old Man. They both nodded his way with a light of pride shining from their eyes. Sitting beside Enise and Adora, they padded his back before bringing their attention back to the stage.

"Up next, Neophytes 2 and 14, please come up on stage!" The Announcer stated before grabbing a cup of water to wet his throat.

Neophyte number two was Aldry Karizma, a youth with long brown hair, and piercing Grey eyes. He slowly made his way up the stage, but his eyes remained on Daniel.

His intent for battle was clear.

At that exact moment, Daniel just happened to look over. Aldry simply nodded his head, with Daniel casually returning the gesture.

Aldry bowed to the opponent, before taking on a fighting stance.

"Ready? Fight!" The Announcer yelled.

The youth opposite of Aldry, walked forward slowly, gauging his defense. In the end, Aldry got impatient and simply rushed him. Aldry's style was very straightforward, sending punches and kicks which were slow but powerful. The youth simply stumbled along as he couldn't find a way to fight back, each hit that landed would resound with a deep thump. Causing the young boy to leak blood from his mouth, and bruise all over.

Before long, Aldry through a powerful punch, sending the boy skidding across the stage. The Nobles clapped with vitality due to the fact they had finally gotten a win in the battle of fates.

"Aldry wins! Good fight! We'd like to name the finishing move Atlas' Rage!" The announcer yelled with great enthusiasm.

Up next, was Enise. With a little bit of excitement, she walked onto the stage where her opponent was already waiting.

Enise thought to herself as she sized her opponent.

"Fight!" The announcer yelled at the top of his lungs, for this was the final fight of the second round. The Crowd was wary but still full of excitement for the end of the Battles.

Enise, walked towards her opponent in a leisurely manner. The young boy was almost mesmerized by her, but he quickly shook his head before running toward her.

The boy swung out a kick, in response Enise used her incredible flexibility to bend backward under the kick. She then took a step forward while the boy was still transitioning from the kick, and coiled around his back and arm.

Using her whole body against his one limb, she began to try a submission grip, nearly pulling out the shoulder from its socket. The boy screamed as his skin turned pale.

"I concede! I concede, please stop!" The young boy screamed.

Anise finally let go as she bowed.

"What an excellent fight! We'd like to bestow the name Mesmerizing Serpent on that finishing move!"

The battles continued, and at the end of it all, there were seven contestants left.

Daniel, The Twist Of Fate,

Enise, The Mesmerizing Serpent,

Rosette Er Cloud, The Ethereal Dancer,

Aldry Karizma, The Atlas' Rage,

Menzo Yotan, The Winds of Silence,

Severus Sura, The Hidden Blade,

Hector Merula, The Wall.
