Chapter 26 - The Druids Blessing

After a moment passed, the old man managed to calm his emotions. He then quickly snapped his fingers, causing his famous flame to bath the two boys.

The Hearthflame was a supportive flame, one that carried healing properties with a hint of purification. That is why it has always been compared to the Flames Of Purity, although it can't compare in terms of purification power, it's one of the few flames with the ability to heal.

Two minutes later, Adora and Daniel stirred from their deep slumber.

The Old Man paid close attention to the two of them. 'With the tattoo, their bodies will soon be saturated with the blessings of my hearthfire and their tattoos. Their eyes will definitely flair with an observable manifestation of said power.'

Just as the Old Man finished his inner ramblings, he saw within Daniel's eyes an endless galaxy which pulled the world into its depths as they fluttered open. The manifestation in his eyes dissappeared as quickly as it had appeared.

The Old Man sucked in a deep breath of air as he confirmed his suspicions. 'What a lucky bastard...' The Old Man couldn't believe how many times he had repeated the same exact sentence in such a short amount of time.

After Daniel woke up, he rolled immediately in order to stand up. Unfortunately, because he wasn't used to the enhancements the blessing of the hearthfire and the tattoo gave him, he ended up shoving his arms and legs into the cobblestone road.

'W-what the fuck?' Daniel was on all four's, his arms were deep into the earth, up to his elbows while his legs were up to the knees. His face was full of confusion and bewilderment.

"Oh, do not fret, young one. I forgot to mention the effects of the two gifts didn't I?" The Old Man chuckled.

Daniel instantly turned to look at him with an expression full of constipated injustice.

"Oi! Don't give me that look! I am a forgetful man, what can I say? A powerful person such as yours truly is busy, how can I pay attention to every little thing, huh?" The Old Man began to ramble as he shook his head and sucked on his teeth.

Daniel slowly pulled his arms and legs out of the cobblestone road and stood up. "How could you forget to mention something so crucial you old fogey?!"

"You got some guts punk! You got one of rarest blessings in this world and you want to vent out your frustration on me over some useless warning?!" The Old Man didn't back down one bit.

"What the heck are you talking about Old Man?" Daniel's frustration left as quickly as a passing breeze as soon as the Old Man mentioned 'rarest blessing.'

"Hmph! You'll have to wait until Adora wakes before I mention anything." The Old Man had a glint of mischievousness flash through his eyes as he smirked at Daniel while he crossed his arms in front of his chest.

'I want to punch this old man so bad.' Daniel gritted his teeth silently.

A few seconds passed, and Adora opened his eyes.

His eyes glowed a deep green with the outline of a flower sprouting deep within his pupils. The manifestation disappeared quickly.

'Excellent, now that these two got such great blessings I'm more willing to educate them.'

Adora slowly got up, and as he did the ground beneath him cracked and popped. Suddenly, Adora caught a glimpse of the four holes Daniel had made and froze.

He looked up to observe Daniel and saw the thin layer of rock dust and dirt on his extremities and frowned.

'What the heck?' Adora thought to himself before standing up.

"Old Man, how come Adora didn't end up shoving his limbs into the ground like I did?" Daniel felt smug but concerned at the same time.

"Alright, Lad. I'll start explaining to you both as to what exactly has transpired, as well as the meaning of our entry ceremony." The Old Man cleared his throat as the two boys paid close attention.

The Old Man conjured three chairs, one behind each of them. "Please take a seat as this will be a rather long winded explanation." He gestured as he also sat down.

Adora and Daniel complied.

"Now then, let's start with you Adora." The Old Man shifted his position so that he'd be more comfortable.

"You have the blessings of the Druids. What that means is you now have an intimate connection to nature, as well as shape-shifting capabilities. Your regenerative abilities are also much stronger."

Adoras eyes opened wide as he listened.

"Of course, that's not all it gives you, but you will discover it's true potential in due time."

Adora nodded like a hen picking seeds off the ground.

"The best way to train this new blessing is to meditate within the embrace of Nature. Your growth in this manner will become exponential. Also, when you do battle, flora-dominant terrain will be where you hold the strongest advantage. Barren terrains will be your greatest disadvantage, so please be careful when you do have to fight." The Old Man conjured a wooden cup full of water to wet his throat before his eyes shifted towards Daniel.

The Old Man narrowed his eyes as he silently gazed at him.

Daniel just observed the Old Man and his antics. 'Don't show a reaction, it'll only satisfy his twisted humor!' Daniel chanted internally in order to drown the antsiness threatening to punch the old man in his handsome face.
