After a day of school was gone, Maya let out a sigh of relief as she thought that she was gonna die due to the amount of stress for the upcoming test. Maya went to Haru's seat and asked: " Haru, can we go home together?". " Erm, I can't go home with you as I have club activities. Sorry, Maya," said Haru as he was packing his bag. Maya looked at Haru and nodded her head as she went to her seat for her preparation to pack her bag and marked down the chapter which is coming out for exams.
After she did all those, Maya took her bag and went out of the classroom and set her journey
home. Halfway of her journey home, Maya felt something or someone was stalking her home with caution. Maya felt very uncomfortable and uneasy but she continued to walk calmly as she could. " Who's there?!" She shouted with fear. There was no reply and nothing appeared. " It's must be my imagination," Maya thought with relief.
Out of blue from nowhere, the strong gust of strong wind blew towards Maya's direction and the girl was pushed back a few steps. In front of her was a middle-aged lady with long fine black hair dressed in a blood-red dress. " Finally, I found you! princess of the water pearl, give the water pearl to me now!" the lady shouted across the street. Maya was very confused and puzzled. " I don't have it, you have found the wrong person, lady!" Maya shouted with cofusion to that lady. that lady did not reply at all, she just stared at Maya intending to kill her and something strange was happening to her as her body was emitting a bright red aura that was inhuman. She continued to stare deep into Maya's eyes with no further reaction. " I'm gonna kill you! I'm gonna kill you!", the lady chanted in a sinister voice that is too evil to be heard. Maya did not know what to do except running away but it was too late. the lady let her aura swallow her whole and made a huge transformation into a giant scaly snake with black golden scales that is reflecting the weakening sunlight due to the passing into the evening. The huge scaly black snake slid on the floor and raced towards Maya's direction. Maya stood there dumbfounded with her legs rooted to the ground unable her to move at all and closed her eyes with prayers hoping that they are answered while waiting for the worst to happen to her. " Am I gonna die here?", Maya thought with fear and desperation.
after a few seconds, Maya thought her eyes and instead, she saw a familiar figure with a pair of dog's ears and tail. " Koroma?! what in the world are you doing here?!" Koroma did not reply to Maya at all. he just let out of sigh of relief. Maya looked the ground and the snake was split into half with a pool of crimson red blood and the organs were scattered around the corpse. it was a total mess. Maya felt nauseous and disgusted by the scene thinking it was just a nightmare as her eyes are closing on their own and she felt weak as if her strength has left her body and collapsed onto the ground.
As Maya woke up from her slumber on her bed in her own room, she saw Koroma sleeping beside her in the form which she never expect it to be true indeed. Yes, he had his dog ears and tails which tells her that he was not human at all. Maya kept staring at Koroma with curiosity that can easily kill the cat. "Should I touch and find out if it's really real???" asked Maya in her mind. Without any hesitation, Maya mustered her courage and reached her hands towards the ears to pet them and then "Yes?? What you wanna touch my ears for?" asked Koroma as he said with a grin of his face when he looked at Maya. Maya was shocked that he was awake and noticed a pink-colored aura emitting from his body as she wondered what it was. filled with curiosity, she asked Koroma:" what is that aura that is emitting from your body?". Koroma looked at Maya with an oblivious look as if she was talking nonsense then at the same time Maya's room door opened and aunt Haruka came in with a serious stern look that caused the air filled with tension. " Are you all alright, Maya? You have finally awakened from your sleep. ", said aunt Haruka. " Yeah, I'm alright, aunt Haruka, just a little tired that's all," said Maya. Maya noticed that aunt Haruka was not shocked nor surprised to see Koroma in his true form, in fact, she seemed to like it's normal for him to be here. "Aunt Haruka, I can explain this..., this is my classmate Koroma....." Maya said with confusion and nervousness. "Dear Maya, it's I'm the one who should be nervous to explain to you about our family and the secrets I hold that needs to be unraveled to you", aunt Haruka said in a soft and gentle voice.
Right after she spoke to Maya, she raised her hand and chanted: "Gods and goddesses that form under my contract, lend me your wisdom and knowledge to bless the maiden that once was your sister. I call upon the goddess Athena, the goddess of wisdom, grant the maiden the knowledge of her past and her role as the maiden of purification. I call upon the goddess Hecate, the triple goddess, grant the maiden your blessing as one of your long lost sister in the realm of gods. I call upon the maiden of the sky, maiden of the earth and the maiden of fire, grant your long lost sister the power of protection and reveal her past and origins. awaken the reincarnated soul that rests within this body." right after aunt Haruka chanted, a purple light was emitted and engulfed everyone in the room and the light turned to a huge sphere.
" What is this? what is going on? Why is this happening to me when I'm an ordinary girl?!" Maya thought with confusion and fear as she slowly opened her eyes and found herself in the scenery of clouds and there were a few figures in front of her dressed in white long gowns and their heads had a tiara each symbolizing something but Maya couldn't understand each of the symbol's meaning and what does it represent. suddenly, one of the figures moved towards Maya faster than lightning and shouted: " Kikyo, is that you?? is that really you?! you are finally back!" Maya was confused and answered: "I'm not Kikyo... my name is Maya. I don't know anyone by that name." Maya noticed something unusual about herself and she too was wearing a white gown and her head was also wearing a tiara with a symbol on it
