Chapter 51 - Extra: One-sided war for Dastan

Chandra was happily humming a song while carrying Dastan when she suddenly felt a pressure on her soul so vast, it felt as if she was several thousands of meters under the sea being pressed by tonnes of weight. " Stop right there, Diana. " The words rang like a thunder in her ears, leaving them buzzing. A beautiful girl, wearing black and white maid clothes, complete with black sneakers floated in the air blocking her path. Her red eyes almost pierced her consciousness.

" You are not worthy of carrying him, Artemis. Give him to me and get lost. " She casually demanded. Chandra narrowed her eyes. The entire sky darkened as a golden crescent the size of her appeared behind her. Her pupils turned golden. yet even after she mobilised all her strength, the pressure remained just as suffocating. The girl was much stronger than her, a pseudo demigod.

The girl had a blood-red heavy sword, larger than her in both length and width, both the blade and hilt deep crimson in colour, floating vertically beside her. The flat of the blade was completely covered with gross spikes that looked like pointed ram horns on both sides. the blade emitted a scary aura as well. It was radiating a ferocious killing intent just like the girl.

" Who are you? Why should I give him to you? How do I know that you won't harm him? How can I believe you? " despite being scared, Chandra couldn't help but ask. " I am Sekhmet, his maid, guardian and protector. His well-being was entrusted to me. A puny lower pantheon deity doesn't need to get involved in it. I warn you again, leave him to me and go. " she sternly warned.

As Chandra didn't listen to her, the girl accelerated towards her and passed by her in a split second before Chandra was even aware that the girl moved. Dastan was in her arms while Chandra was neatly sliced in half by the horrendous sword raising a fountain of blood. Or so she felt. She was completely fine but both Sekhmet and Dastan disappeared. It was just a stupendously high level mental illusion.

Chandra couldn't maintain her flight and collapsed to the ground. She couldn't help but sigh in relief after she left. The woman's pressure was ghastly and downright intimidating, as if it wouldn't rest until she is killed by it. Her body was heavily sweating and her heart raced from fear.

HOW IN THE WORLD DOES THAT WOMAN KNOW MY TRUE NAME? SHE COULDN'T HAVE GUESSED THAT FROM MY CURRENT NAME CHANDRA, COULD SHE? MY TRUE NAME WAS ONLY KNOWN TO ONEE-SAMA AND THAT 'DEVIL'. ALSO, HOW DID SHE REALIZE THAT I, DESPITE ATTAINING COMPLETE CHANDRA ENLIGHTENMENT, AM STILL A LOWER PANTHEON DEITY AND CAN'T USE THE POWER OF CHANDRA FOR LONG? I COULD VAGUELY SENSE A HORRIFYING AMOUNT OF POWER RESTING IN HER UNASSUMING FIGURE, BENEATH HER CALM FACADE.

Chandra fell in thought and stayed behind. She didn't realize Sekhmet standing right behind her embracing Dastan, supporting him with one hand, glaring at her, her other hand forming various seals that gave rise to a magic formation. " No!! stop. " Before Chandra could realize what's happening and stop her, Sekhmet compressed the magic formation to the size of a fingernail and shot it towards the necklace of penance, shattering it into smithereens.

" Why? " " You dare put a shackle that is used to apprehend criminals on MY DASTAN!!!! " Sekhmet roared in rage. She would have fought her if not for the risk of waking Dastan up. Gulping in fear, Chandra could only explain in a stuttering tone, " It was for him to awaken his divine bloodline and acquire the divine physique bestowed by Lord Garuda. It was also for awakening his hidden Shadow dantain nature and help him train and control its rampaging power. " " Humph, as if such a convoluted procedure is required for such a small thing. I can do that myself. You don't need to stress yourself. " Sekhmet spoke with an icy and downright acidic tone.

She disappeared along with Dastan, for real, this time. Only, Chandra was abducted along somehow.
