Chapter 46 - The Elf and the Lightning girl

The contestants of the tournament were all assembled in the colosseum in a separate area, away from the eyes of the eager crowd but under the observation of the referee and the judges, the realm king and the immortal included.

" Hi, can we be friends ? " the tortoise beast man asked the rumoured lightning girl. " Sure, but I have something to speak to that elf over there. " She walked to the elf and pat on his shoulder. " Ah, here you are. I have been searching for you all over. "

The elf and the girl met each other during the preliminaries that filtered based on the cultivation levels and instantly became close friends owing to a strange sense of rapport despite apparently not fighting as a team ever before. The bond only grew with time and now after ten days, they were already besties.

" I was meeting with fellow contestants to get acquainted you see. " She gave a sheepish smile. Shaking his head in humour, he pulled her away to a corner and sat there while discussing some miscellaneous topics with her. They were completely indifferent to others.

The tortoise beast man, undaunted, approached the pair and once again asked to be their friend, to which they agreed and went back to their conversation as if he never existed. Being the pair of most handsome boy and the most beautiful girl, they attracted a lot of attention and accompanying envy.

Many contestants thought them as those who show-off due to the absence of aura around them. But, when the lightning girl almost crushed a nosy girl trying to get close to the elf boy with her sovereign mid tier aura, they were convinced of her might.

Everyone except the tortoise beast man and the elf were pretty much pressurised by her showing their strength as well. The pair simply went on with their business without bothering about the girl twitching like an electrocuted shrimp on the ground or the tortoise beast man pouting like a boy whose candy was snatched from his hand.
