The shrine that gave off a divine aura in the beginning suddenly felt eerie. It was as if they were dumped in a pool filled with all negative emotions one could find.
The trio walked in as if clueless. The duo, meanwhile, maintained their vigilance. Sarah continuously performed some experiment under the cover of Dastan's domain and finally succeeded. Her mind jolted.

Sarah immediately deployed her domain and found several hidden traps that weren't triggered out of their luck and destroyed them by frying with lightnings. She ecstatically reported her new skill to Dastan who congratulated her and smiled.
The silence was extremely troubling. It is that eerie kind of silence that kills those off guard with sudden strikes. And unsurprisingly, that's what happened. A streak of black light flashed past the trio walking forward tearing two of them to pieces, severely injuring the leader as well.
" Kids, hurry and escape, I shall distract the assailant, " saying so, the leader dashed out. The duo followed and together attacked the black flash of light alongside the leader.
~~Roar~~ with a deep roaring sound, the light retracted into the depths of the cave just as the duo approached it. They looked at each other, surprised. They decisively followed the light and reached into the depths.
Sitting there at the dead-end was a majestic black dragon ( Chinese version ) glaring at them while roaring in anger. It emitted a suffocating aura that suppressed them completely.
The dragon rushed towards them with a speed that betrayed it's huge appearance and slashed at them with its claws dispersing their team.
" Dastan, we can fight it using lightnings, I'll distract it, you finish it off. " saying so, Sarah launched a myriad of lightning bolts pure silver in color that cackled in air and hit the dragon like whips causing it to roar in agony and charge towards her. Meanwhile, Dastan felt the weird energy left by the boy circulate in his body on its own in a specific pattern.

Dastan wasn't in a mood to check the skill hence he instantly used it. To his surprise, a mysterious white mist like energy emerged from his body and solidified into a white elephant the size of the black dragon.
Glancing at the elephant, the dragon rushed over and slash at it only to hiss in pain and back away immediately. The part of its body which touched the elephant turned sky blue, so did the part on elephant.
Dastan was almost blown off his feet by the attack causing him to stagger a step back and get injured. Just that moment, ~~sizzle~~ a bright silver lightning bolt hit the dragon causing it to roar and rush over to Sarah again. Dastan unsheathed his Daisho and rushed towards the dragon as well slashing and hacking like a mad man.
Their attacks could only scratch it's scales while the weapons coming into contact only sizzled and corroded away. Sarah almost ran out of arrows, Dastan's Daisho was scrapped and the leader was already facing severe third degree burns almost all over his body.
If not for the white elephant halo ( that almost turned half sky blue due to continuous collisions with the black dragon ) weren't protecting him and Sarah, they would have already been melted into a pile of goo. The eagle beast man was lucky because the ceiling was high and he was a long range attacker preventing him from being completely melted even though he wasn't far from it.
" Lads, run away, we can't fight it, we are all spent yet the dragon is relatively unharmed, I beg you, run away while I distr..... Nooo..... " seeing the black dragon attack them from behind, the eagle beast man stood in between and almost got torn in half while protecting them.
" You beast..... " angry, Sarah cast two extremely powerful silver lightning bolts that shattered the eyeballs of the dragon eliciting another roar from it while it rampaged around hitting itself to the cave walls again and again.
Meanwhile, Dastan and Sarah retreated into a corner while tending to the leader's wounds. " Kids, forgive me for what I have done, I didn't realize that bringing you into the shrine would throw you into this predicament, I won't survive anyway, let me at least return the favour, " saying so, he poked at Dastan's forehead and......
