Ruby: "Yang, hurry!" Ruby shouted as smoked billowed around them, with Ruby being wounded slightly. "I found Logan! He's trapped under rubble over here!"

Yang: "On my way!" Yang shouted as she limped over to where Ruby was, wounded as well. "Damn, he buried deep in there." She spoke as she tried to unbury an unconscious Logan.

Weiss: "Move, I get." Weiss said as she supported an injured Blake while a summoned Arma Gigas stared to pick up the rubble covering Logan, both of them looking worse for wear too. "There's his upper body, now for the lower part."

Blake: "Don't!" Blake exclaimed suddenly. "Look, his leg is pierced by rebar in several places. If you move it, you might rip his leg off."

.

As Team RWBY pondered what to do, Logan slowly awoke. Groggy, Logan looked around and saw Team RWBY stressing out about what to do. After looking down on his lower half and see what was causing him pain, Logan knew what needed to be done.

.

Logan: "Girls." Logan coughed out. "You need to cut my leg off."

RWBY: "What?!" Each one of RWBY exclaimed.

Ruby: "We can't! There must be another way!" Ruby insisted.

Logan: "Ruby, my leg's fucked bad." Logan grunted. "It's the only way. Besides, the bones powder and all that's keeping me pinned is flesh and cloth."

Blake: "Logan, are you even aware of what you're saying?!" Blake shouted at Logan. "We will find some way to get you out of there."

Logan: "Yang, do it." Logan spoke harshly. "In the wild, a wolf will chew off its own leg to survive. Yang, I'm trusting you on this."

.

Yang: "You owe me for this." Yang said as she kneeled next to Logan's pinned leg. "You know, I've never had to use this till now. Kinda wish it wasn't for this thought." Yang said as she held her hand close to Logan's leg. With a quiet shink sound, a blade slide out from the metal bar under her forearm. "I'll try to make this as quick as possible, sorry in advance Logan," Yang said before she pulled up and out, severing Logan's leg just past his knee in one quick cut.

.

Yang's hidden blade cut right through the flesh of Logan's leg like a hot knife through butter. Logan grunted from the sharp pain then mumbled to use burn dust to seal the wound closed before passing out. Weiss jumped onto Logan's leg as fast as her wounded self could and quickly sealed the wound close with said Dust.

.

Blake: "How did this even happen..." Balke said in a low tone of voice.

.

{Four hours eariler}

.

Logan sighed as he, Ghost, and his daughter had boarded the Pelican Ozpin sent, but due to the weather, they were grounded for another three hours. Just as the pelican arrived, a thunderstorm formed that was strong enough to ground them as the chances were too high for them to crash if they tried to fly through the storm. Logan was annoyed that even with all his hard work that went into recreating the pelican that all it took to drop it out of the sky was just one good lightning strike.

.

Soon three hours pass by and the group was getting ready to leave, all they had to do was wait for the pilot to get back from using a nearby bush. But after waiting for ten minutes, Logan started feeling antsy. Logan then expanded his {Presence Detection} as far as he could and grimaced at what he sensed.

.

The pilot was dead by a Grimm and said Grimm was eating his corpse. The reason Logan grimaced was due to the type of Grimm that killed the pilot. A Wendigo. Wendigo Grimm is one of the few species of Grimm that actually eat the people they kill. And they are a pain to kill with an A-class ranking.

.

Wendigos are similar to Beowolfs as they are bipedal in nature but can walk and run on all fours if need be. But that is where the similarities end. Wendigos at tall, around 15-20 feet tall with ribcage-like armor on their torsos, sharp bone claws, and the top half of their head is similar to that of a deer with antlers and all. Their bottom jaw is similar to that of a person but with sharp canine teeth to help rip apart those it grasps. But the biggest issue with them is their unique ability to blend into their surrounding almost perfectly. This was the main reason why they are A-class Grimm. Other than that, they have some of the best tracking abilities of any other known Grimm, have excellent hearing, one of the most physically strong despite their frail-looking bodies, and are sometimes seen to wield clubs on rare occasions.

.

Logan moved slowly as he got up from his seat and made his way quietly to Ghost and his daughter. Once in front of them, Logan quickly knocked Ghost's daughter out and gesture for him to be silent before using his ash to form a small Wendigo Grimm with an arrow that pointed outside. Ghost quickly understood what was happening and just nodded his head lightly and stared at the rear hatch of the pelican with his hand on his gun. Logan quietly moved towards the cockpit and lightly sat down in the pilot seat. With a bit of ash, Logan made the number '5' appear in front of Ghost and it counted down.

.

As soon as it hit '0', Logan started the pelican and put as much power he could into the vertical thrusters, shooting them up as fast as it could go. However, even as fast as the pelican was, the Wendigo was faster. After climbing a good 50 plus feet into the air in nearly a second, several load thumps echoed throughout the pelican. When Logan spread his sensing ability as far as it could, he paled at what was just at the edge of his detection range. A Wendigo Bull.

.

The strongest and only variant of Wendigos, the Wendigo Bull. The main difference between a normal Wendigo and a Bull is that a Bull is smaller but a lot more powerful. But the kicker was they had two forms they could take, a human form and a beast form. In their human form, they appear as a nine-foot-tall man in a suit with a deer skull on his head. In their beast form, they appear as a canine that dwarfed even Altas (Irish) Wolfhounds easily. And the worst part of them is that they can control other Wendigos, acting as a commander while also possessing the ability to make illusions to those that look into their eyes.

.

Logan: "FU*K! Bull!" Logan shouted back as he started to gun it forward. "Shite, shite, shite!"

Ghost: "Are you serious!?" Ghost shouted back as he held his unconscious daughter down from being bounced around. "One Wendigo was already enough, but a Bull? What in the name of Oum is going on!?"

Logan: "Hell if I know! Just hold on, it's about to get a little bumpy!" Logan shouted back as he started to barrel roll the pelican left and right while just scraping the sides of trees, all to remove the Wendigos that were on top of the airship.

Ghost: "I hate this!" Ghost shouted to himself as he felt the pelican lurch and roll left and right while sounds of tree branches scraping against the hull of the airship.

.

{Same day, an hour later...}

{With Ozpin}

.

Ozpin was currently sorting over some paperwork and files and came across an old idea to make floating cities that was proposed a few years back. Though the idea was sound as it could help a lot of issues the Four Kingdoms have, but the issue with it was the aquatic Grimm that roam the sea floors. Even though it would help a lot, it was shelved indefinitely.

.

Ozpin sighed as he started going back over the mound of paperwork that seemed to materialize next to him every time he stopped to take a break. His mind wandered back to the call he had with Logan, who had found their mysterious assassin that had killed Amber. From what Logan told him, the assassin in question only became an assassin for his sick daughter.

.

Ozpin: "Another one drove to do bad things for those they care about." Ozpin mumbled to himself when his scroll suddenly rang. "Hello-"

Logan: "Ozpin!" Logan, who was the caller, shouted in Ozpin's ear. "I'm coming in hot with a Wendigos on top of me! Get all the teachers ready at the landing pads!" Suddenly, a loud sound of metal tearing came out of the scroll followed by gunfire. "Not today you piece of shite!"

.

Ozpin: "Logan?! Logan!" Ozpin shouted into his scroll but the connection was cut. "Shite." Ozpin then hit a button on his scroll and connected it to all the speakers in the school."Attention! This is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill! All students are to evacuate to the shelter and all Hunters in training are to guard them until further notice! All staff with a Hunter License are to rush towards the Landing pads immediately!"

.

Once Ozpin finished his announcement, he grabbed his cane and jumped out his office window. As he fell, Ozpin stabbed his cane and slide down the side of the tower his office was on top of. When he hit the ground, Glynda was running right behind him.

.

Glynda: "What's going on?!" Glynda asked as she and Ozpin ran towards the landing pads.

Logan: "Logan encountered Wendigos and they're clinging to the pelican I sent for him." Ozpin summarized for her. "I don't know much else."

.

Soon they were joined by Professors Port, Peach (Plant Sciences), Ann Greene (Stealth and Security), Doctor Oobleck, and Harold Mulberry (Weapon Crafting and Upkeep). By the time the group made it to the Landing pads, more and more teachers were beginning to get there as well. Less than a minute later, Logan's Pelican could be seen flying towards them while on fire with two Wendigos clawing at the cockpit. Tracers could be seen coming from the cockpit.

.

Ozpin: "Get ready!" Ozpin shouted for all the teachers to hear. "As soon as it lands, get the Wendigos away from the airship! Professor Port, Docter Oobleck, I want you two to secure the personnel inside the ship as soon as you can. Once you're done, help where you can!"

.

When Ozpin finished giving orders out, the pelican shuttered and started dropping out of the sky. Glynda reacted by using her semblance to push the airship up as high as she could get it. As it came close, one of the Wendigos raised its arm and slammed it down, knocking it out of the air more. When the pelican crashed, it hit the edge of the landing pads and flipped nose over tail, landing upside down. Of the two Wendigos that were on the cockpit, one was crushed into a fine paste and the other was thrown off.

.

The surviving Wendigo landed hard on its back and as it crawled to its feet, it was met with a barrage from Professor Mulberry using a steam-punk rifle. Glynda provided support by holding the Grimm's arms and legs in place with her semblance with Professor Peach and her semblance to grow vines. Professor Greene strafed around the Wendigo, firing her smgs into its body. Once the Wendigo roared in pain, Ozpin moved. Letting his magic boost him, Ozpin lunged with his cane and pierced the Grimm through the chest where the heart would be then followed it up with hundreds more just to make sure. Thankfully, Logan must have weakened it as he traveled here.

.

Port: "Headmaster!" Professor Port called as he ran up with his weapon, Blowhard, in hand. "Logan wasn't inside the ship, just a man and a young girl!" he reported.

Ozpin: "Mr. Scarlett was escorting them here due to some information the man possesses." Ozpin made a quick lie up as other professors gathered. "He was tasked to bring them here for their safety. Are they fine and do they know where Mr. Scarlett is?"

Port: "Barty?" Port asked as Doctor Oobleck appeared beside him.

.

Oobleck: "Both are fine and the man has slight injuries from the crash, nothing major." Doctor Oobleck spoke as he appeared and took a sip of his ever-present coffee cup. "As for the location of Mr. Scarlett, according to the man, Logan took several Wendigos with him when they first broke into the cockpit as he jumped off to ensure their safety. Unfortunately, it was over Mountain Glenn that he jumped. The worst part is that there was, and may still be, a Wendigo Bull commanding them. It may have 'hitched a ride' with the other Wendigos that Mr. Scarlett took with him."

.

Ozpin: "Glynda, take who you deem as necessary and form a group to search for Mr. Scarlett. Professor Port, Doctor, you two go with her." Ozpin started giving orders. "Miss Greene, take the second and third years and search the school and the Emerald Forest for any more Wendigos. Miss Peach, Mr. Mulbarry, you two go with Miss Greene. Even though I trust Mr. Scarlett's abilities, I rather make sure he's in good health. Dismissed!"
