Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 - Wylde

I couldn't sleep well last night because of what Jessica said when she was in my room. As I lay on my bed and stared off into the roof of the room, multiple thoughts came up into my mind. As I slowly drifted into deep thought, a memory of Rhythian flashed in my mind.

In sudden shock, a blush quickly invaded my face, causing me to bury it into a pillow, and scream. After I let out my confusion into the pillow, I put it to the side and sat up. I looked at the balcony window and thought...

"What is wrong with me?" I muttered to myself.

I came back into reality and wanted to regain focus. I slapped my cheeks and grew a determined face. The random thoughts faded away and it was replaced with a fired up feeling. I got out of bed and walked to the balcony. A soft wind greeted me along with a warm sunshine. I looked at the kingdom and saw that it was still busy recuperating, even this early into the morning.

I took a deep breath and readied myself for anything today. As I walked back into the room, a knock was heard on my door. I wondered who could've needed me this early into the morning. I walked closer to the door and leaned against it.

"Who is it?" I asked

"It's me young draconian..." A man's voice replied.

I could recognize that voice anywhere...It was Rhythian. I shook my head and stood up. I let out a deep sigh and opened the door, revealing Rhythian with repaired and polished armor. He was holstering an axe.

"I know it's early, but the people are short handed, I'm heading out to gather materials, Jessica is asking you to help out in the town." Rhythian explained as he pointed out into the hallway, and walked off to quickly finish his job. I crossed my arms and leaned on the doorway, facing the direction Rhythian is walking towards. As I looked at Rhythian, the blush came back and in a fit of instinct, I looked away.

Minutes later, I walked downstairs to see Jessica waving at me. I sigh and walked towards her. She had a smile on her face, this wasn't surprising for me to see the Princess General of the Majiked Kingdom smile as she pretty much had this implanted on her face the whole night last time.

I let out a sigh as I waved back. I stopped in front of her as she still had a smirk on her face.

"So...What do you want exactly?" I spoke in a straightforward manner. She then pointed outside with her thumb and walked towards the direction. I followed behind afterwards as I let out another sigh.

"Today, you will be helping out in the town, mainly in the rebuilding, we are kind of shorthanded right now, and I'm of course...One handed" Jessica joked as I looked at her in a disappointed way. She let out a sweat, knowing I wasn't amused by her joke. She then quickly scurried back into the palace while waving back at me. As she left, I couldn't help but giggle a little bit. She is weird, but I have been with weird all my life.

I took a deep breath and pumped myself up once more. Today is going to be a busy day...

Hours have passed and as I've helped the villagers with what they requested. They seemed nice and friendly. Most of them were really cheerful despite what happened. The elders were all kinds of interesting as well. They told stories of their past as we worked hard. Everyone seemed happy. I smiled when I saw this. As my mood got lighter, I went back to work.

I went to a house that needed it's second floor to be repaired, so I climbed up the scaffolding and started helping the man out. Half an hour passed and I took a short break from climbing, crouching, and hammering nails in for a couple of hours. As I did, a man yelled out and a couple of logs rolled down the hill, hitting the scaffolding that me and the man were standing on. The scaffolding soon became unstable and broke apart, causing the man and I to start falling.

As we fell, I only thought of one thing, to save the man. As we fell, I reached out, hoping to catch the man, but we were too far apart. I tried as best as I can to save him, thinking of ways on how to. As I kept reaching out, my tattoo glowed again, but this time, it glowed a soft white and a breeze of wind surrounded my arm. I hoped for the best and aimed for the man. I clenched my fist and a gust of wind released from it, pushing the man into safety. Knowing the man was safe, I let myself fall more so that I could roll away to brace against the fall.

As I fell, I felt myself stop mid-air, as if someone caught me. My eyes were closed and as I felt this, someone instantly went into my mind. I grew a small blush as I slowly opened my eyes to see who caught me.

"Rhy~"

"Oh? It looks like you've fallen for me, kuku~" A confident man spoke out. As I opened my eyes and looked, I saw a black haired half-dragon with a heavy smirk on his face carrying me bridal style. Wait...Who is this guy? I asked myself that question as I had a very confused yet disgusted face. Soon after, a crowd was cheering, the only difference was...the crowed was filled with girls from various races.

The man helped me stand and soon waved at the crowd, causing them to freak out even more. One thing was bothering me though...why was he still holding my hand?

"I love you Wylde!!!" A woman elf screamed out from the crowd, causing the man, whose name is Wylde to chuckle confidently. The fact still stayed that he was still holding my hand. This was starting to annoy me...

The man soon bowed at the crowd. He then soon looked back at me and held my waist, causing me to get even more irritated.

"Don't worry, beautiful draco. The legendary warrior Dylan Wylde has come to save you" He spoke out confidently as he winked. He then soon inched closer to my face. I immediately knew what he was doing.

I clenched my other hand and soon coiled back my hand and slugged Dylan backwards a few meters.

"Ugh!" He yelled out as he flew backwards and into a concrete wall. The impact caused the wall to crack, making him slide down it and then sit unconsciously.

The females in the crowd then looked at the knocked out Dylan then towards me. They yelled out a few insults as they asked why I did that to the town's so-called Legendary Warrior and Dream boy. I had my reasons...

As I looked around to see the man from the scaffolding to be okay, I let out a sigh of relief. In the edge of my eye, I saw Rhythian in the distance, raising 2 thumbs ups as if he saw the whole fiasco...
