My parents? I couldn't put myself to believe what Rhythian said. I had already set my mind that my parents are already...gone...
"T-there's no way...there's no way my parents could still be alive Rhythian..." I say in a slightly scared tone. I didn't know the reason, but somehow, I was frightened. This was a feeling I haven't felt in a very long time...
Rhythian stood there silent as he heard what I said. His silence somehow made me confused. I went up to his and grabbed his chest plate.
"Rhythian! Tell me that what you said isn't true...Please..." I beg for Rhythian to deny what he said, but deep down inside, after all the years I've lived with Rhythian, that silence...Meant truth...
My eyesight started to fade as the memories of my past started flooding my mind. My breathing became short and my heart started to pump faster. I was in a state of disbelief, yet what I was feeling told me otherwise.
"I...I need to get some fresh air..."I say to Rhythian, who was standing there for the entire time. I went out the door with my hood up and went to a spot that I usually stayed in to relax or free my mind from something.
Soon after. I was sitting by a soul tree deep in the forest. Soul Trees had a snowy white leaf, with a dark trunk to accompany it. The soul tree was surrounded with white flowers. Somehow, the colors of these plants have never failed to calm me down, even in dangerous times.
I laid down on the bed of flowers, looking up into the sky, letting the sun shine on my face and the wind fly by. A thousand questions were already piling up in my head, and a lot more were coming.
"How could my parents still be alive..." I muttered to myself, wondering how exactly... They were taken away from me from a very young age, probably experienced the same thing I did, maybe worse...
I scratch my head in confusion. I turned to my side, looking into a budding flower. It somehow distracted me from my problem. I turn back over, looking back up into the sky. I then decided to maybe take a nap. Maybe that can fix the constant stress bestowed upon me by Rhythian. I slowly close my eyes, slowly letting myself rest.
I open my eyes to see myself still on the bed of flowers with the Soul Tree overlooking it, but something was different. Everything else was black. In total shock, I recoiled and looked around. As I did, all I could see was all black. Where am I? This doesn't seem like a dream or a nightmare either...or was it?
I pinched myself to test my theory.
"Ouch..."
It...it hurt? So this wasn't a dream...I mustered up my courage and decided to walk out of the flower circle to see where I truly was. As I took a step outside of the circle, a ripple and a harmonic note echoed from it. I must've been going crazy...
Despite the thoughts on my head, I walk forward. As I did, the notes seemed to make a soft tune. A tune that seemed familiar to me. I continued walking forward, the song now playing a continuous tune, and because of it, I immediately knew what it was.
"Sleep now, and dream of the future~" A quiet but calming voice of a woman singing started to accompany the tune. I knew it...It was the lullaby my mother sang to me...
H-how could this be happening? This couldn't be magic...
I kept walking and the song kept playing. A light then shined bright in front of me, causing my to cover my eyes. As the light subsided, I lowered my hand to see a woman in front of a wooden crib, the song was also now in a lowered volume, it seemed faded. The woman was rocking something in her hands, I also noticed something else. She had horns. I slowly walked forward, the song increasing in volume the closer I was. As I peeked over the woman's shoulder, I saw a baby...half-dragon? I looked at the woman's face and immediately realized that it was my mother!
Am I looking into my mother's memories? Dream? I kept asking myself questions as I slowly walked backwards. Soon after, a bright light shined behind me causing me to turn around. As I did, I saw my mother and father playing with me. They were as happy as they can be...
The more I walked around this realm, more of these 'Visions' showed up. Most of them usually involved my mother. As I kept exploring the visions, one vision caught my attention. Instead of a bright white light, it shined a bright hot orange glow. I looked into the vision and saw that it was the time my mother hid me from the soldiers...
Another showed up in a dark glow, this time, I didn't recognize this vision. This vision showed my mother being dragged into a room, she was yelling. She seemed like she was taken into slavery and torture...just like me. Another showed up, showing my mother in shackles, chained to a wall, tears ran down her dirty cheeks. I slowly reached forward in sadness. As I did, my mother flinched and looked up. It looked like she was looking straight at me. She seemed to have seen something that reminded her of something...
"Mileena?" She says quietly, causing me to jolt in shock. In an instant, I was pulled back into reality. My breathing was heavy and my senses were lowered for some reason. A loud mumble was heard right next to me as my senses slowly came back to me. I looked to see who it was.
"Mileena? Mileena?!" A man yelled out as I seemed numb. My eyes soon shut under some strange fatigue that hit me.
Before I fell unconscious, my hand fell to the ground, feeling the once luscious bed of flowers, now turned into a field of black ones. My pendant dropped on my chest as my consciousness faded away...
