"...what im saying is, puncturing an area is easier to achieve when the point of impact is smaller"
"bok?"
"It's kinda like how when you press a balloon with your palm it won't explode easily but a needle can easily do it with less force applied."
"bok...bok?
"sigh.... If stabby-thingy pointy, stab easy to enter"
"bhooohk.... bokbok!"
"ah see, now you get it."
John stopped the conversation with his new pet "bhokbok" or bhok for short. Bohk was a meter tall muscular chicken with white feathers, just like every other chicken in the overworld. Hmmm? how did they meet? well, its actually very simple;
Once upon a time, John emerged from his dirty abode underground to commit suicide. Now don't just assume John had any underlying mental illness, John just ran out of fish to eat and he wanted to go back to the island by killing himself. John didn't expect a steroid abusing chicken to be close to the underground hole he lived in.
Afraid to startle the olympian chicken, John didn't make any sudden movements. John, a human who forgot he wanted to die and Arnold Swartzechicken Locked eyes for a few seconds. John remembered that animals in the game would become friends with you if they were fed. Although chickens and cows were just motivated to mate, the overworld John was in wasn't a pixel perfect copy of the game.
John looked inside his inventory and the only edibles inside were 3 pieces of electric fish. John brought out a piece and threw it in front of the chicken.
The chicken who was staring at John looked at the thing infront of it with it's eye. The animal infront of it was suspiscious and it didn't mind beating it up if it attacked him. But they just stared at each other until it threw a small object at him, It lacked force to be called an attack so the chicken didn't flinch. The object in hand was a small fish it had never seen before. The chicken couldn't help but wonder if the creature infront of him was offering a peace maker.
Well, it wouldn't hurt to try, the chicken thought. The fish was deliscious, the texture was a bit hard but it was perfect for the pallate of the chicken. If the creature infront gave some more it wouldn't mind becoming it's friend.
A few more throws of fish and a duo of man and chicken was formed.
Back to the present time. John was explaining his genius idea towards his chicken now named Bohk. About 70 meters away from them was a pair of giant cows. The plan was for John to dig a hole and fill the bottom with stone spikes he would craft from nearby stones. John would then attract the cows attention baiting them into the trap and securing his food.
The cows in this overworld were territorial and strong, John would know since he got killed in one hit by them. When john was filling the pit with stone spikes Bohk flew down and looked around curiously which led to John explaining the concept of puncturing to the chicken. John didn't know if Bohk understood him but the chicken always replied which made him happy.
"alright Bohk, I need you to fly up and hide while I go and attract the cows." John said to the muscle chicken.
"bokbok" the chicken replied and flew away, carrying its large frame with its equally large wingspan.
"yep, that chicken is smart."
John climed over the hole and dropped any blocks he harvested in the overworld. He needed to be fast and weights were cumbersome to his movements.
The position of the trap was just a few meters away from the from the edge of the forest they were in and the cows were in a grassy plain area dozens of meters away.
John walked slowly towards the peacefully grazing cows until he was 30 meters away from them. He picked up a rock and threw it at them. One of the pair slowly turned its large body towards John and started charging, the other cow also followed suit. John started running towards the trap as well as having a monologue in his head,
'my name barry allen, I am the fastest man alive. When I was a young b-'
The trap was already infront and the one of the cows just meters away from him. John leaped across the hole and continued running until a tree came his way that he climbed onto. Behind him the cow closest to him easily fell into the pit while the latter one couldn't stop it's body from sliding towards the hole.
John looked behind him and saw no cows following.
"looks like we're eating good tonight!" John exclaimed not hiding his excitement.
"bok!" A carnivorous chicken sounded beside him.
John looked to his left and saw Bohk already getting ready to fly down. Both man and chicken descended from the tree and went towards the hole. The 6 meter deep hole was apparently not enough to kill the cows. Although the animals were bleeding, John noticed the broken stone spikes around them still having intact edges.
The spikes were still in a good condition and their peaks were still pointy. It meant that the spikes managed to pierce skin but fell of when they reached the cow's muscles therefore keeping the general shape and not breaking at the tip.
It was exactly as John expected. If a chicken can survive a fullpowered blow on the neck then a cow would survive a six meter drop with spikes at the bottom. The animals here were strong bug John was smarter. While the cows were trying to get out the hole, John went to harvest the soil he dug from the pit and covered the hole with it. It was a cruel way to kill an animal by suffocation but John didn't think about it. If John was set to be killex just by being in their presence then who gets to kill who was fair game.
Minutes flew by quickly and John opened a hole to see if the cows were dead. He was shocked to find emptiness in the hole so he widened the hole and saw some things floating a foot above the ground. John went down the hole followed by a thick chicken to see what was dropped. The floating objects were meat cuts and the complete skeletal structure of two cows.
*rawr*
John's stomach growled in hungry emo language so he collected the meat and bones. on one slot of his inventory was 48 stacks of meat and on another slot was two sets of cow bones.
John filled the pit and climbed a tree with Bohk. The tree would protect them from ground dwelling monsters and would not attract other creatures with the smell. John placed some dirt atop the tree as foundation and started a fire by using some flint and firewood. He quickly crafted a stone pan and placed it over the fire.
John wouldn't use the furnace to cook the first meal since he found out long ago that anything made from it would activate his instant devour and digest ability. John found out this feature a long time ago in the island and used it to taste new kinds of fish he caught.
John took out two pieces of hamstring meat from his inventory and seasoned them with salt from the island. He placed them in the pan creating sizzling noises as if tiny explosions happened where the pan met the meat. The meat was coated with fat that would melt and sear the surface while giving it some flavor as well. Since the meat was cut an inch thick it only took a short time for it to cook.
John removed the steaks from the pan and placed them into stone plates, one for him and one for Bohk. John didn't bother with utensils as he grabbed the steak when it cooled and bit into it. To John the meat was the greatest thing he had ever tasted. The fat marbled between the fibers of meat melted into each strand completely activating his salivatory glands and moistening his tongue.
It was like having sex for the first time, warm, wet and stimulating. With each bite John grew hungrier in appetite and body. His body was screaming in joy, celebrating as if everything he ate before was poisonous and the steak was the antidote. John easily bit through the meat since his incissors were ridiculously sharp and his molars were practically made of multiple spikes.
Having finished the steak, John looked at Bohk had long finished his food and was waiting patiently for John to stop climaxing and cook more. John apologetically smiled and brought out rib meat and back meat and placed them in the stone pan.
atop a forest a duo of man and bird patiently waited for their meal to finish cooking....

An aged lady and a senior gentleman was sitting in in a teahouse in the middle of a luscious interior garden with a boardgame between them.
The lady was somewhere in her late 50's and she wore a militaristic white overcoat buttoned with multiple insignias and medals. On her head was a white cap with black outlines that matched well with her female specific elevated shoes. She exuded the aura of an experienced general and a dignified lady of power.
The old man opposite of her wore a red long coat with green feathers adorned the neckline. His innerwear consisted of a black vest buttoned to cover a crimson shirt. He had rings in each of his fingers designed in a way unique from the others. His eyes mellowed his strong bearded jaw giving him the impression of a gentle giant.
"Anything special happen to you.." The lady spoke softly while moving a piece in the board without touching it.
"well, it is my granddaughter's seventh birthday... but that's why your here. If you're talking about politics then some important seafairer died in the carfurnis sea a year ago" the old man replied without taking his eyes of the board.
"if 'some' seafairer attracted your attention then he must be special..." another piece was moved.
"haha, you really know me well. Yes, Ive fought with him 20 years ago." a piece from the lady's side was taken.
The lady slightly furrowed her brows as she moves one of her pieces, "20 years ago was the 4th invasion, that seafairer must have been strong..."
"he was an ok fighter, it was his spirit that made me remember him, also you're losing" the old man chuckled at his impending victory.
"hmph, do you remember their name..." completely ignoring the old man's false sense of victory.
"haha yes, If im not wrong it was Marthe-"
*BAM!*
The sound of a door opening and rushed footsteps disrupted the pair's conversation. They both turned their heads at the new arrival and saw a guard.
"Your majesties! The head of the research institute just announced the reactivity of corrupted ethero. Her highness recieved this news and ordered me to inform you" The gaurd concisely said with a slight shake in his voice.
The two figure looked at each other and spoke at the same time,
"draw..." "Draw."
Both stood up with a serious glint in their eyes. Their dignifying auras of different qualities clashed midair as they walked side by side towards the exit.
"truly unfortunate to recieve such news on my granddaughters birthday" the old man sighed.
"Grent... the reactivity came a year earlier than expected..." the lady reminded the old man.
"hmmm? what am I supposed to know. Perhaps they made a much more accurate reading instrument"
"Or maybe this invasion is different from last time...."
The old man stopped in his tracks for half a second before a glint appeared in his eyes,
"what does your instincts tell you?" He asks completly trusting his ally's gut.
"I don't know.... I just feel something different..." the lady replied her eyebrows scrunched up in slight frustration.
The old man didn't ask any further. He had to prepare for the invasion. It was truly unfortunate that his granddaughter would experience what he experienced 20 years ago. A good grandfather he was, but he was an even greater king. He would do anything to protect what he cares for, just like that young man who burned his enemies in green fire.
The 5th invasion has arrived.
