Suddenly, Jackson walked over to Halia and sat down beside her.
Halia jumped a little in surprise.
There was so much space in the lab, why did he have to sit right next to her? And so close too?!
Halia shuffled away a little and grabbed the fried chicken in front of her. "What were you talking about? You should start eating. The fried chicken won't be crunchy if you leave it for too long," she said as she began to lift the fried chicken to her mouth.
But, before she took a bite, Jackson suddenly hooked his arm around her waist and pulled her towards him. He seemed to be thinking something as he smiled at her.
Halia held her breath in surprise as she looked at the man. He was so close that she could feel the warmth of his body. As she looked at the smile on his lips, she began to get nervous. Did he want to kiss her again?
