Up until recently, Danson had spent most of his adult life not achieving much. He had never excelled in anything particular and his father's PR company didn't interest him either. All he did was drink, flirt with women, hang around with other rich socialites, and spend his father's money. But, the company somehow ended up in his hands so he was forced to run it.
Fortunately, Marissa returned and he found someone to palm the company back onto. Although traditionally, a man was meant to be the breadwinner, she was technically his stepmother, so he didn't mind living off of her while he 'took care' of their home (even though, technically, they had maids and helpers to do that).
He considered himself as an open-minded person; this was gender-equality, right?
Marissa liked being a strong and independent woman anyway.
