The words, 'you're my favorite', echoed in Avaleigh's ears as she stared at the man blankly. Her fans often said these words to her, but coming from Emerson, it had a totally different effect. Her body tingled, her heart raced, her palms became sweaty, and her cheeks burned up.
She could feel Emerson's arm around her waist and it made her nervous. It had been a long time since she was this close to a man. The last and only time she dated someone was when she was 19 and that guy turned out to be a scumbag that she dumped before he managed to get physical with her.
