As Tony walks through the open entrance along with these migrants carrying their possessions his heart was lifted from the heavy burdens of responsibility.
Walking into the air there was a refreshing taste of morning dumplings being sold by the stall owner calling out to the passersby.
This morning was different and there was a sense of freshness to it as he takes in the bright light and foreign surrounding of the city.
As he whizz by the bubbling Jingzhou streets Tony observes a hungry little girl looking eagerly at the sticks of BingTanghulu.
Her brown clothings resembles that of street urchins, along with many patches of square fabrics of different colors being sewed over the areas which teared apart.
The little girl's black hair was like a bird's nest since she hasn't taken the time to comb it with water and soap.
She was licking her lips with teasing hunger as she watched the other children snack on the Tanghulu with joyfulness.
As she rubs her empty stomach which is gurgling in complaint she felt a large hand pat gently on her head which made her look up.
Seeing a man with his eyes containing warmth casted on her, giving her an unknown sense of security and freedom.
Tony gets out a silver coin and hands it to the man selling the BingTanghulu, "I want some for the little girl."
"Sir this is too much," his eyes were wide as his hands received the silver coin, "you can have all the Tanghulu."
Since Tony left the palace in Chang'an in such a hurry he didn't have a lot of changes.
Before running away in excitement the snack vendor handed him the entire fruit sticks which were attached at the end to a large wooden pole with holes for placing the ends.
'It has been a long time since I ate one of these,' Tony takes a stick into his left hand and eats a small bite of the sugared fruit.
In Tony's definition it has only been for a 'long time', but for a normal human definition it has been for more than a hundred years.
Finishing almost half of the BingTanghulu that are skewed on the small wooden stick Tony glances at the little street urchin enjoying the snack by his side.
He smiles seeing that the little girl was eating the sugary Tanghulus in such a hurry that the corners of her mouth were stained with the sticky red sugar.
"Look at you getting your mouth all stained," Tony moves a handkerchief to wipe away the sticky sugar on the corners of her mouth.
Her puffy cheeks had some dirt on them that Tony also cleaned away, saying in a quiet voice, "Thank you."
"No problem you seemed so hungry," Tony smiles at her as he pats her uncombed short black hair, "Do you know where the house of the Minister Wu is?"
Hearing this question the adorable street urchin moved her eyes in a certain direction and also directed her index finger pointing to go there.
"Thanks," Tony says, patting her head again before leaving to the direction which the girl points to.
She watches silently as Tony leaves and grabs hold of another BingTanghulu into her hand.
Tony was walking carefree in the street, for a moment his attention was rapt on the accessories that a vendor was selling in his court.
Picking up a female hairpin with the point made from silver and the appearance of the design from pure jade.
Seeing that a customer was interested in his product the vendor flatters, "Sir you have good eyesight this hairpin…"
But Tony was not so much at all focused on what the vendor was persuading and instead caught in analyzing the materials in the jade.
There was a loud shouting sound from the distance that interrupted the chattering of the street, "Miss Wu Zao! Stop!"
'Wu Zhao? Isn't that the surname of…' Tony's attention on the hairpin stops as he hears the name that rings in his mind.
Turning his head to the source of the sound Tony was surprised to see someone running towards the direction of where he's standing.
The girl was in hanfu clothing made from silk, with the top of the outfit in pink color while the long dress that was covering all the way to her toes was light blue.
On the pink top that criss cross over each other there is a flower design embroidered on the left side.
Her head was turned to the side as she was looking behind her at the male servant in grey running after her.
Despite not being able to see her face Tony recognizes that she has a beautiful appearance with a soft bang of her hair covering her forehead.
Tony was 90% certain she was the girl that he's looking for, in the street it turned quiet as there were only the sounds of her footsteps running with increasing volume nearing him.
Her earrings were that of red beads that dangled down her earlobes, dancing in the air as she ran with a quick pace.
All his attention was focused on this girl which seemed to have walked out of a painting as the dress of her light silky cloth floated in the air behind her.
As she turned her face to suddenly notice the stranger in front of her, the beauty was like a blooming flower with her lips in a natural tint of deep red.
Tony's body was frozen in place as she was only a couple meters from crashing against him, from this short distance he noticed those large light colored eyes looking into his.
"Ah!" She screamed in a soft voice with her eyes closed as she collided against Tony, unable to stop her footsteps from the run.
But she didn't feel the experience she expected and as she opened her eyes she saw a pair of eyes filled with piercing energy looking at her with care.
His large hands were placed on her back catching her from the painful fall to the ground, that handsome face was only a couple inches away from kissing onto her soft lips.
