By his side right now she feels her heart melting with a strange sense of happiness.
Even though these words were really simple and direct, his truthfulness embodies his kindness and affection for her.
As he holds her hand all her worries and fear goes away, as if even the sky falls down he will be there to provide her security.
"Fei Fei, I love your happy smile when you care for your students," he said to her with a smile. "It was in those moments I saw you truly happy. So I don't want you to stop your pursuit."
She looks at him expectantly, "You won't stop me being a teacher?"
Since she was little Miss Wong has admired her mother who was a kind teacher.
But after she had a few more siblings her father stopped her mother's career outside, so she could spend the time being a housewife.
At that time when she looked into those once brilliant pairs of eyes she found that there was something that has been taken away from her beauty and lost.
Although she wants her mother to be by her side more; however, seeing her mother's sad eyes she wants more than that for her.
As every child for their parents, she wanted her mother to be happy and feel the freedom of letting her wings soar her higher in the sky.
Despite living in a wealthy household she saw her mother's eyes grew more and more dim each day.
Especially when her mother learned that her father had a mistress outside that has been chipping away the money saved in the bank.
She would watch from the corner of the bedroom as she sees her mother's crestfallen tears dropping down her aging face.
Hui Lik reaches his hand up to her face to wipe away the tears in the corner of her eyes.
Smiling as he said to her slowly, "Fei Fei, if would allow me...I want to forever cherish and treasure your happy smile...never allowing it to fade away from this Earth."
His touching words only made her tears fall more and more from those angelic eyes.
Seeing those tears Hui Lik wants to treasure her even more, never allowing anything in this world to harm her, not a speck of dust to cover her shining beauty.
All the things around him disappear from his vision, he could only see the beauty that smiles with so much warmth in front of him.
In the stillness of the night she leaps into his embrace hiding away her tearful face.
Putting his arms around that fragile body wrapped him, Hui Lik didn't say anything.
There was a happiness to the silence as they stood wrapped into each other's embrace.
Yet a million poems couldn't amount to the feelings expressed in this quietude.
In this silence there was a memorable beauty that forever remained in the hearts of the two lovers, a memory that will never fade and forever treasured.
On a tuesday morning Mrs. Wing Sing opens the bedroom door to see her husband Ip Man fast asleep on a wooden chair with only a soft fabric to cover his body.
Seeing the empty bowls on the table, she knows that he probably came back pretty late last night from guarding the school.
She knows the school needs her husband to guard, yet she cannot help wanting selfishly for him to come home more earlier to eat a regular dinner together.
She looks down on the table to see the writing on a piece of paper "Please sew on the button", these days she hasn't got the time to talk with him.
Getting dressed in a blue qipao Mrs. Wing Sing was about to leave the house.
Then she felt an agonizing pain in her abdomen again that makes her wince as she feels the pain electrifying through her body.
With her head down bearing away the pain as she walks out of the door of the apartment home.
Going to the gynecology department of the hospital she sits in wait at the table with a worried expression.
A female doctor enters the room sitting down in the chair opposite Mrs. Wing Sing, "Mrs. Ip, my initial diagnosis is to suspect a tumor. It's not very encouraging. But we'll learn more once we have the full report."
Hearing the word "tumor" her eyes widened in shock, with thoughts of disbelief hearing this report.
Leaving the room she walks slowly with her head down lost in thought and hope.
Walking with her head down to her son's school to deliver Ip Man a container of lunch.
But as she saw Ip Man sitting in the chair outside the school she saw neighborhood ladies came greeting her husband.
"Master Ip, we all pitched in for the soup," a woman said.
"Enjoy it."
"Thank you," Ip Man replies, seeing the food.
"You're here night and day. You need sustenance," a lady said. "Where are your disciples? They should have some too."
"Thank you, thank you."
Watching that her husband is taken care of she took a last glance filled with sadness and resignation before leaving with the food container.
Even with the many people in the bustling streets there was a sense of lonesomeness as she walked slowly away.
It was though the sky has lost its color for her and slowly descends up her in each walking step.
The next morning as Ip Man was leaving the home in his black changshan he heard the frail voice of his wife, "How many more days of this?"
Smiling as he greets her, "You're up? I didn't want to wake you. Just a few more days."
Ip Man looks at his wife without realizing the sudden paleness of her face and lips as death is coming after her.
With a voice weaker than the days before she says to him, "When will you eat at home again?"
Her voice was filled with longing as she asked after him, hoping today will somehow be different and more promising.
"Tonight. I'll come back earlier," answering in a simple manner. Just as he turns away he asks her, "Are you okay?"
She mustered a smile pausing as she decided to tell him, "Well…"
At this moment their dialogue was interrupted by the ring of a telephone, "Hello?"
"Hello? Master Ip?" a nurse on the phone asks.
"Yes, who's this?"
"Kowloon Hospital," the nurse on the phone replies.
"What is it?"
"Master Tin has been badly wounded and he wants to see you."
"Okay, I'll be right there," Ip Man hearing this had a stern expression of concern for Master Tin.
Arriving at the school Tony leans peacefully against the wall as he sees the two lovebirds.
Hui Lik was wearing a white soft sweater while showing a Wing Chun movement to the children who were imitating him.
While teaching the Wing Chun palm Hui Lik steals a glance at Miss Wong who was playing with the children.
She notices him looking at her and smiles at him while turning her head away in a blush.
