When Bael went through the membrane he tried to find something. But he couldn't. There was only darkness, but as he easy starting to give up. He could feel something as if beacon. So he started to follow it but in next moment it was gone. Then he was once again lost in the dark.
After Time and time again he tried feel anything but found nothing. So Bael decided to return back through membrane to his hell.
Bael thought that he was on right track but he needs to find a more stable connection to something. But for now, he hasn't much to do so he simply thought about his life and how he got where he is now. "It's not even that long and yet so much had happened," Bael said as he looked down and realize that he was still naked.
His transformation made him forgot that. After which he thought about making clothing for himself. "But what type? I don't think normal clothing would be best counting horns, tail, and hoves." So he chose to make a similar one to the ones he saw in the image of some demons.
So Bael made a sash with dark metal and glowing infernal runes to protect his stomach and upper thighs, with black leather and small chains dropping down. Then he made tattoos on his body, they were also infernal runes. Bael made them represent him. Their meaning was his titles which he gave to himself. Creator of hell, Lord of The Pit, Outer devil, Father of demons, and many more.
Those names were not lies in a way. He did create hell, he made his throne in the pit, he did make demons, and from his understanding, his hell was outside of the universe so it was fitting. But Bael wasn't entirely sure why it came to his mind.
After which Bael once again tried to travel so he sits on his throne and concentrated.
He was curious about that membrane he had theory that it was the end of the universe but for time being he continued with what he was doing. There he searched and searched. But Bael found only darkness. There was nothing or maybe he just hasn't reached anything yet. Then he heard or more precisely felt a voice reverberating through him. In corner of his being, he concentrated and went closer and closer.
Voice became stronger as he was shifting his mind to it, even some kind of light. When he got close to the source of the voice he heard it become more desperate. In worry that he would lose connection with whoever it was, Bael in a hurry jumped to the light and was blinded by it.
When his sight returned he looked around and saw people who were looking at him in horror unmoving and completely silent. There were four people in a leather coat and swords in arms. Three men and one woman. Man looking like the leader was a tall human with grey hair in his late thirties, his brown eyes were surprisingly looking at him with hate and scorn.
Some of them looked human, but then he saw one of them had sharp ears. 'Elf? If yes then there is a chance that this may not be Earth.' Bael thought as he looked opposite of these hunters or whatever they are.
There Bael saw a woman with pale skin and black hairs as charcoal and eyes dark as a pit with no end. Her clothing was torn from which red blood flowed. He also saw tattooed infernal runs through tearing in rags. 'A Witch? Interesting, so was it her through which I was able to navigate?' Bael wondered as he was staring into her eyes. He saw her shift uncomfortably, then he realizes that his eyes may be uncomfortable for some.
As he continued to stare he heard shouts from behind him. "Witch! Your wickedness knows no bound." To which she responded with the same amount of hate in her voice "Me, you have come to this land and started to butcher people! You are talking about wickedness when you are a true monster here."
Bael didn't know the whole situation so he refrained from jump into the conversation, but he was surprised that he could understand them. 'Are they speaking English or something?' He thought.
Then Bael saw as hunters started to shout and run at him with swords hold high. Bael chose that if he saves that witch she could give him the information he needs. And these hunters don't look like they would be willing to talk to him. So for theatrics, he summoned dark clouds and spoke with the voice of dark one, he knew that it may not have a strong effect but still he wanted to know how would they react.
' "Worms! Your insolence is palpable. You stand before me not kneeling but running at me with the swords? All actions bring consequences." ' After Bael said he flicked with his hand and send two fireballs of hellfire at them.
Both of them hit the targets and two people, human, and elf lit up and started to scream. Their companions tried to help them but there wasn't much they could do before two hunters burned down and their armor melted. "Thomas, Anien!" The leader screamed as he stopped before their remains.
Then Bael snapped with his fingers and another hunter ignited. "Eve! How? Sacred charms should have protected us." Their leader screamed in fear. "Should have, would have, but haven't," Bael spoke as he spread his arms and summoned hordes of flies which flew at last hunter who started to scream as they bit at him. Some even entered inside hunter. Tearing through his flesh until he screamed no more. His corpse sometimes twitching because of flies moving under the skin.
When all hunters were dead Bael looked at the witch with curiosity, it is not every day you get to see and talk to people from another world. Bael didn't even think that killing those hunters could be wrong. They attacked him and when they died he felt nothing.
The witch looked at him with fear, but there was even a glint of gratitude. "A... Ah, Th... Thank you." Bael heard her spoke and smiled at her. Which when she saw his sharp teeth didn't help her to calm down. "Don't fear witch, and when you calm down you could tell me your name," Bael said as kindly as he could. At which she sighs and somewhat settled down. "My name is Elisandra Blackwell" to which Bael answered "Splendid, Elisandra what nice name. It is only fair that I too should introduce myself. You can call me Bael." he spoke but didn't say his whole name because he wasn't sure if so-called true name has any power.
"Tell me, why did they want to hurt you?" Bael said because he was genuinely interested. To which Elisandra answered "Why would they? Witch Hunters hunt everything they find impure, wrong or it doesn't agree with their ideology. They don't even have any jurisdiction here." Disdain could be heard in her voice.
"Ah, so-called heroes of justice are everywhere. But then again why would they want to hurt you? What would be their reason behind it?" Bael said after which he got a heated reply "Reason? Reason! Because of magic, for dunk sake." Elisandra nearly yelled but quickly became silent when she realized who is she yelling on.
'Ah-ha, so it is this kind of world, but is it only them, or is prejudice against magic bigger.' "Tell me about this world for I'm new here. For though you have I came here, through your desperation was I able to come here."
Elisandra wasn't sure what should she do whit this creature. 'It was able to kill them so easily and wasn't visibly influenced by their chimes or trinkets. It clearly isn't a demon but those infernal runes on him...' Elisandra looked at those runes and as she started to read them but she fell down on her knees.
Bael was watching her and thought 'Is it possible that I overdid it with my runes?' then he stepped closer to her and offered her an arm to stand up. "Take my hand. Then we will go to your home if you have any. Then you will finally answer my questions." Bael said with a tone that left no room for discussion. On which Elisandra simply nodded. Bael smiled and as his goat eyes glowed brighter for the second.
