Jack woke up with a start. He turned to look at the clock and realized he was asleep for almost four hours and it was almost nine. When Jack got downstairs he saw his mom making dinner and his sister texting on her phone.
"Hey honey, how was your nap?" His mom asked without turning around.
"Fine" Jack tried to avoided any further conversation, grabbed an apple and left before his mom noticed.
Jack went and walked down the same street he saw that weird fight. He didn't see anything out of place, as if nothing ever happens.
Hmm
Jack couldn't believe there could be no trace left behind of the fight so he went to go take a closer look.
He went to the street and put his hand on it and concentrated on it, as if by habit. After a little Jack started to feel something weird. It felt like someone put a really really heavy towel on this area, Jack tried his best but couldn't find a way to get a grip on it, like it was a fleeting feeling.
After focusing for a little more he finally was able to lift this veil like object.
When he did he was surprised.
He knew the aftermath of the battle couldn't have just disappeared.
