Chapter 1 - Turn of Events

Life is full of ebbs and flows, a gigantic roller coaster, multiple vicissitudes, ups and downs, lefts and rights, topsy and turvy. In each human's life come such unexpected turns which, in fact, act as movers and shakers. In the life of a guard Ronu also comes such a great turn makes him wealthy in the blink of an eye, said Gajju.

Through buttering skills of mediator Prasanna, Ronu got married to a girl of the rich father Fame whose place of residence was insufficient to accommodate the stacks of notes lying everywhere in his house as if some husk were falling without any count. One day Sajni, wife of Ronu was taking out his gown to wear at night then from the wardrobe dropped down a poly bag containing the uniform of Gajju which he usually wears for his occupation. Feeling more curious to eye what is inside that poly bag, Sajni opened it up but to her utter disgust found something which she never thought of during her graduation classes at Miranda House. Whenever there was a gossip among her classmates on the would-be life partner, she would assert with all arrogance that my husband would be like an angel who would take me the fairy land to have a long stay over there. Now the uniform of a gurad was a kind of dream destroyer for her. She, with her all agitated mind, went to Ronu enquiring him,

Yeah, it's so, Ronu said honestly without bringing any trace of any duping tactics which the people of the world consider as an ingredient for weaving the texture of the marriage. I am a guard and I shared all with the mediator also stressed to let your family know about my occupation.

My social standing is fractured. How would I show my face among my classmates who would get married to the aristocrats, thought Sajni.

Consoling herself she heaved a sigh of relief thinking that by borrowing from her father she would set up a factory where this guard husband would safeguard my social status.

Still remainders of disturbance was hanging on her mind every time she tried to wipe them off there reappeared some new traces of low standing in the society because of the occupation of her partner imposed on her by the cruel machinery of fate. She was utterly helpless; could not gather courage to talk to her father about the fate thrust on her. Restlessness was eating up the lively spirits of hers. It was the saddest day of her life which she could not have imagined even in her dream. The more she tried to kill it the hydra-headed distractions emerged like Raktbeej (A mythological demon killed by the goddess Durga. No sooner had Durga killed the any part of the body of demon, as the drop fell on the ground there used to take birth a new demon) consuming the vitality of the night. Hardly could she pass the entire night. Every second was hanging on her like a Damocles' Sword. A life taking idea struck to her mind. But very soon her own deep –rooted ethics coupled with her avidity for vast reading habit outsmarted the force of suicidal instinct. Since, during her college days, watched the YouTube video of
