We talked later on that night until I fell asleep at his side. He continued to sit on the marble floor, even after I fell asleep and even as Ra began to rise into the sky. I stayed asleep until I was shaken awake, someone calling me frantically. I shuddered and stirred wondering why I awaken from my beauty sleep and realized that Azeaze was leaning over me with a worried look on her face. I blinked again and realized that My Lord was still sitting Lotus, watching the entire confrontation, a quizzical look on his stone face. I got a flashback of last night, remembering that my body paint was all but smeared all over him and the marble floor and Azeaze noticed this.
" Aka, who touched you?" She whispered, her eyes wide and growing wider as she looked all over the floor. I sighed silently and stretched. " No one, I came down here crying and then I fell asleep." I blinked, looking at her, my eyes bright and glimmering in their strange green color. She frowned for a moment and took a frightening look at Anubis before bowing her head respectfully, looking at me again. " Then why is your paint all over him. You didn't do anything stupid did you?" She frowned at me her eyebrows pulling together. I glared at her and sat up staring at her face. " Whatever I do has nothing to do with you. Are you even going to ask me if I'm okay? I mean I was locked in my chamber for two weeks." I snapped, watching her flinch in just the tiniest bit closing her eyes. " When I came to look for you, you weren't in your chambers. I was hoping to find you before having to go to the Pharaoh to announce your disappearance." She looked at me, her eyes sad and filing with liquid. I closed my eyes for a short moment, realizing that I was being too harsh to her.
I pulled her into a hug and looked at him, his eyes smoldering and darkening as he watched my every move. " Fledgling, when you have finished with whatever it is this girl is taking you off to do I need to speak to you on an urgent matter." He grunted as he stood, walking back to the pedestal. The way he said it gave me a very bad feeling, but I brushed it off because I was in a good mood. I wasn't going to let anything ruin my beautiful day.
