In the study.
A cold breeze coming from the garden of the villa swiftly entered the study through an open window. The long bangs that were covering half of Louisa's face swayed when the air passes through her, she used her index finger to fix it but, another wind blows and exposes her face.
She has been keeping her eyes, as much as possible. She was not comfortable when people looked in her eyes. She doesn't want people to compliment or judge her so every time they have a guest, she will sit next to her father and hide her face behind him.
She was not scared of people but, she doesn't want to interact with them. When he sees other kids except for his cousin Alexander, her skin shivered that made her run away.
The people she hated to see was her grandmother. Her father had tried convincing her to visit Eveline but she doesn't want too.
She was sitting on the chair with her legs on the table and her skeleton doll on her lap. Her expression turned sour when she noticed that it missing some ligaments in her hand. Her eyes narrowed in irritation as she turned to her siblings.
(Who took it?) she asked herself.
Her eyes roamed around the study. The triplets were sitting next to each other minding their own business while Selena was staring on her phone.
She wanted to call them but, she doesn't want to speak. She tried raising her hand but they were all so busy.
She shifted her eyes on her toy, her hand lifted its chin and she stared at its jaw. Her narrowed eyes slowly widened when she noticed that it's also missing some teeth.
Her face has turned red in anger and looked at her siblings who's been quiet all along.
She walked towards them and stopped right in front when she finally reached the couch. The triplets looked at her with confusion.
She took her pad and wrote down, "Where're my doll's teeth?"
When the triplets looked at each other and said no at the same time, she opened her mouth and let out a loud and screechy scream.
Everyone covered their ears in pain while bending their body. Ethan immediately got up and hug his sister but, she wasn't stopping.
"Leo, did you took the teeth?" he yelled. He was not sure whether Leo could hear him due to Louisa's loud shrill.
"No," Leo yelled back.
Ethan took a deep breath and level his head on Louisa. The girl might be taller than their mother but still, he was the tallest in the family.
He coped her cheeks with both hands and caressed it slowly.
"Isa, we will find your toy's teeth back. Stop screaming, please? You might injure your throat," he whispered in a concerned tone but, Louisa was not stopping instead her shrill went even louder.
Ethan kept on yelling at his sibling to give the teeth back but their reaction made him realized that they don't have it.
When the door suddenly slammed open, he turned and found her mother with her face wrinkled in annoyance.
"What now?" Daniella yelled.
"Mom, her skeleton's teeth are missing," Ethan replied while pointing at the skeleton.
Evan immediately carried Louisa despite her height and tried calming her.
"We will go to the dentist and get him a new set of teeth, alright?" he slowly patted her hair and just like magic, the room became quiet.
Everyone let out a relieved sigh and turned to Daniella. The woman was busy tapping on the keyboard of Evan's laptop. When she plugged in the cable for the projector to the laptop, a photo of the house flashed on the white wall.
Everyone rose an eyebrow by the photo on the wall. It was a three-story house but, the difference was the ground floor wall was made of glass and by the picture, they could see that it was empty except the stairs few meters away from which seems to be a bar counter.
Leo tilted his head in confusion. He nibbled on his lower lips as he tried to figure out what the picture was for.
His sister Alexa has been acting strange since they entered the study room and now, looking at her blanched face, he realized that she knows something.
Alexa was sitting on the couch in between him and Ethan, he moved his face closer to her ear and whispered, "What is happening?"
Alexa slightly leaned closer to him and parted her lips.
"Boom!" when Alexa suddenly yelled instead of answering his questions Leo felt a deafening static sound in his ear. His face wrinkled in pain and annoyance.
He turned to her with his face red as a tomato.
His hand stretched to reach on her waist and vigorously tickle her. He could see how much Alexa was trying to escape but, he's much stronger than her.
He locked her wrist with a hand while the other tickle her waist, Ethan that was sitting next to Alexa also held the girl's shoulder to help him.
Alexa was already in tears when Ethan joined Leo on tickling her. She tried kicking her brothers but, she was outnumbered. The feeling of pain and ticklish was making her body to shiver. She tried moving away but, Ethan kept on pulling her back to the couch.
The room was suddenly filled with Ethan and Leo's laughter and Alexa's cry. Her face has become crimson red. She begs for them to stop but, the two were not stopping.
"Daddy!" Alexa cried for help.
But her father didn't respond, instead, they heard a screeching sound of the sofa. The triplets stopped and found their mother sitting on the single sofa she pushed earlier. Her back leaning on the couch and both hands and leg were crossed.
They all gulped at the same time, seeing their mother's iris turning into black they realized that they overdid it again.
"Are you done?" their mother said emotionless.
The triplets nodded at the same time. Their hands were on their lap, looking like a dog that got scolded by their master.
Their mother took a long sigh and got up. She pushed the sofa back to its original spot using one leg and then turned the laptop on once again.
"Triplets you are sixteen now. Can you all please act according to your age?"
And once again, they nodded at the same time.
"Good. We are going to change the way we live. So, we are going to live in that house," she pointed her pen at the wall and continued.
"We will have our living room on the second floor and there are three bedrooms on the third floor and another in the attic."
Alexa's lips twitched when she saw the next slide, each bedroom has a bunk bed and the room space was the same size as her toilet.
Her eyebrows raised when she saw that out of three bedrooms, only one has a queen size bed the rest have a bunk bed which she had only seen in the movies.
She bites her lower lips when she saw the attic, it was the most spacious out of all the bedroom.
(This will work) she said and started arranging the furniture in the mind.
"Why am I here?" Selena asked out of nowhere.
She has been sitting quietly on the couch. she only moved when Louisa screamed and then went back to her previous position.
She's been wondering why Daniella asked her to be in the study room with her kids. It's very unlikely for her to get invited in their 'family meeting' though she felt somehow relief that she's included. For the first time, she felt like she belongs somewhere.
"Dear, your father has blocked your credit card. You can either get married or stay with us. It's completely up to you," Selena rose an eyebrow and let out a long sigh upon hearing it.
"Is this what you meant by 'lots of fun?'" when she saw Daniella nodding with a smile on her face, Selena's expression went dull.
"Since we will be changing our lifestyle. Can we also change our name?" she suggested. She meant it to be sarcastic but, the triplets especially Alexa might have taken it seriously.
Alexa rapidly raised a hand while calling her mother.
"Can I change my name too? I am thinking Taylor Allison Swift," she eagerly blurted.
"Absolutely not!"
Her parents were glaring at her as they abruptly denied her request.
