Chapter 90 - The Archer

The hallway of Louisa's building is so quiet, even the sound of the wind echoed as it blows from the window.

Selena and Killian reached Louisa's classrooms and, standing behind the closed door made Selena feel a bit nervous.

Her long hair ponied in a tight bun loosened when Killian removed her ponytail, he split her hair into two and brushed it with his fingers. He positioned her hair on her chest, covering her bra, Selena was confused so she parted her lips to ask but Killian shook his head.

"Don't ask and make sure that this hair will stay here," he made a point by jumbling the end of her hair to hide more of her chest part, "there are boys here and I can't hit them so," he smiled and brushed the small bangs on her forehead, "please throw this dress later."

Selena shrugged both shoulders and took her phone out of her bag. She verified if she had the right room number and knocked on the closed door.

Selena blinked, seeing a middle-age woman looking so exhausted, hair that seems to have been run by a tornado, reddening eyes and the wrinkles on her forehead, she realized that the woman was in the middle of a war.

"Hi, I am Selena Su, guardian of Louisa Su," she gave a friendly smile at the exhausted teacher.

The teacher groaned, "Ugh! I am glad you are here. Please take Louisa from here, she needs to be in a special school," she exasperated, "a kid is in the clinic right now shaking and traumatic after Louisa put a fake snake in his bag."

The teacher turned to look at Louisa, fear with a hint of disappointment pasted on her exhausted face.

"Did the kid do something to Louisa? She's usually quiet and always minded herself," Selena said, "she won't do anything to an innocent kid," Selena defender her cousin.

The teacher's exhausted face turned red upon hearing it, placing both hands on her hips, eyebrows creasing, she focused at Selena.

"Ms. Su, does Louisa's parents didn't teach her the right manners?" the teacher said, "Revenge is not the solution."

Selena prevented herself from smiling, (oh please! You clearly don't know her mother, revenge is our desert) she bit her lips, sighing silently.

"What's wrong with revenge?" Killian spoke, "a kid hurt her, isn't proper to get back on the kid and let him taste his own medicine?" he shrugged both shoulders nonchalantly, eyes stared at the fuming teacher in front.

The teacher giggled sarcastically, face so red, eyes so angry, "You look young so you might have not known this but it is abnormal for a kid to bring a real skeleton in the classroom," she lectured him.

A line appeared in between Killian's brows as he stared deeply into the teacher's fuming face.

"Abnormal?" he scoffed and it echoed in the empty hallway, "who are you to set a standard on what's normal and what's not?" he shook his head as he continued.

"Did you ever consider that maybe in Louisa's eyes, you are the odd one? Where the hell did you get the idea that having a skeleton doll is abnormal where in fact is it a part of your body which you should have known better given that you are a science teacher," he rocked his head on each side to suppress himself from shouting at her.

"Maybe you should consider changing your line of work. You are pretty useless and brainless to be a teacher."

Killian looked past the shocked teacher and waved a hand at Louisa, "I will explain this to your mom later," he said in a medium sound voice, "don't let anyone bully you," he gave the little girl a wink and turned to Selena.

"Let's go find Alexa," Killian seized Selena's wrist and turned their back on the teacher.

"I want to speak to Mrs. Mr. Su or I will take this to the principal," the teacher said.

"Are you sure? You might get a heart attack if you speak to my Auntie," Selena hesitated.

"What kind of family do you have?" the teacher whispered, exasperated still.

Selena smiled, "don't call Louisa abnormal again or we are going to press charges against you."

The teacher laugh, a sarcastic and pissed laugh, " really? Is it written in law that I cant call someone abnormal?"

Selena mirrored her smile, "I honestly don't know if there's one but if there's nothing," her smile faded, chilly eyes stared at the teacher, " the Su can make one."

Selena finally turned her back, she remembered how Daniella would go far as firing her teachers in the school to protect her and she knows that Daniella would do the same for her kids.

When they left the hallway and proceeded downstairs, Selena was still trembling, unsure why but she hates to be in an argument with someone.

A warm arm lay over her shoulder, her head turned to the side and found Killian smiling, "you are so cute when you're angry."

The grin on his face was enough to calm her shaking body, and it was replaced with irritation, "removed your arm," she said, shaking his arm off.

Killian clicked his tongue, "Can your family really do it?" he asked.

"What do?"

"Change or write a new law," he replied, walking by her side at the same pace.

Selena shrugged, "well, the previous president used to work for Daniella and she has few senators on her side so passing a law is not a problem."

Killian nodded, "it must be cool to have that kind of power," he absently said, eyes looking ahead of him.

"Nah," Selena plucked her lips, "power is not free, she barely spent time with her kids, that's why the kids always cause trouble, they just want their mother's attention."
