Chapter 84 - Call It What You Want

When Killian has finally caught up with Selena - rushing like a mouse getting chased by a cat, he stretched a hand to stop her.

Catching his breath, Killian looked at her.

"Could we stop for a moment. You had drained all my energy last night so I don't have much energy to chase," he playfully said as he filled his lungs with air.

Selena took in a deep breath, what happened last night hasn't fully sunk in her mind and seeing Alejandro only worsen the headache she has.

She needs time to process everything or else she might go crazy. With her face paling with headache and hunger, Selena looked at him.

"Killian, what happened last night, it's-"

"It was great," Killian cut her out.

She rolled her eyes on him. Her mind reminisced the memories she had last night as she walked on the empty side road. She might be drunk but, she could remember it clearly, everything - from start to finish.

She sighed; she did have a great time last night as far as she can remember.

"Killian, fine, just to make you shut up, yes, it was great but, I just broke up with your brother and then I slept with you and for me, it's really, really not me," she sighed, regret tormented her mind. Guilt seemed to have consumed her mind.

Seeing a taxi coming, Killian waved a hand in the air, not bothered by Selena's remarks about herself.

When the taxi stopped next to them, Killian opened the backseat and lay his arms on the door head while his face stared at Selena with a tease.

"I need to comfort my brokenhearted brother so I cant bring you home,"

"I don't need you to bring me home. I can go myself," saying that with flushed cheeks, Selena flew at the backseat.

She stretched a hand to close the door but, Killian suddenly docked his head inside - planted a small peck on her cheeks and whispered, "I will be gone for some time. You can miss me," Before she could react, Killian has pulled himself and closed the door.

After telling the address to the driver, Selena turned to look at the side window where she saw Killian waving a hand and smiling at her.

She rolled her eyes on him, showing how pissed she was but as soon as the taxi drove away, her lips absently curved a smile.

It soon disappeared when her phone vibrated, she took it out if her phone and found out that the 10 percent battery she has was gone.

-

At the café.

Upstairs in the living room, a woman with elegance was sitting next to her husband Nathan Su, her long curly hair was down reaching her waist, her face was clear of makeup showing her natural beauty, Samantha Su, Selena's stepmother.

At first, Samantha and Selena were close but as the years passed, Selena became distant, she barely visits her father Nathan and they both wonder why.

Now, sitting in the living room of her Sister in law, she felt uncomfortable.

Unlike the life Evan and Daniella used to have, the place is so different, even the couch she was sitting on was made of cheap material, and the house was full of creepy human organs figurines.

Samantha gulped hard, her head turned to her side where her husband was sitting and he doesn't even look bothered by the house.

There are blood prints on the wall while a vanilla smell was in the air.

"Is Selena coming soon?" a voice of a man interrupter her from looking around.

David Cortez, the cousin of the Prince of Aragon.

Samantha knew him through Novie, the man was in the same age as Selena, so knowing that he's still single, she approached her husband to settle a marriage between them but, Selena was too stubborn and spoiled, doing what she wants and go where she wants without worrying that the other people around might be worried.

And now looking at the blonde man with blue eyes and skin like a baby, Samantha smiled, she's certain that Selena would agree, David status and appearance were something any woman would love to have.

"I am pretty sure she's on the way," Samantha said giving a bright smile.

--

After getting out of the taxi, Selena saw the black SUV's park on the side road and few men standing on the side road next to the cafe. At that moment, her heart pounded, she gulped hard and felt as if something bad was about to happen.

She pushed the door opened and found Alexa at the table next to the Aragonian prince, her eyebrow creased, wondering what is the boy doing in here.

As she approached them, she could hear their conversation.

Alexa: what's wrong with the coffee I made? If you don't want it then throw it!

The Prince: I am not saying I don't like it but, you put too much sugar.

A: then give it to me.

P: no, I have paid for it.

Selena's face went poker, the prince whom she could not remember the name was wearing a casual blue shirt and pants, his blonde clean-cut hair has made his face look so clean and dashing.

"Why are you two fighting over coffee?" she said as she stood next to the table. She grabbed the coffee and drunk a gulp, all she needed right now is a coffee to remove all the headache that has been throbbing her head but, as soon as her tongue felt the taste of it – the sweetness, her stomach grumbled.

She gulped it even though her mind was urging her to throw up. There are few customers and it would be embarrassing if she pukes in there.

"Who made this coffee? How much sugar did you put in here?" she blurted; nose wrinkled with disgust after drinking it. She felt like she had just consumed a drum of sugar.

With perplexity on Alexa's face, she said, "I put eight cubes of sugar, isn't that what you ordered?" she asked looking at the prince seated opposite her.

The boy shook his head, "No, I asked for one."

Out of nowhere, a man in a gray polo shirt approached their table and placed a cup on the table. Selena recognized him to be the customer that always pays with coins.

"Miss, this coffee is too bitter."

Alexa dumbfoundedly lifted her face and stared at her math teacher. Realizing her mistake, she took the cup from Selena and handed it to her teacher.

"Here, I accidentally switched it."

The man took it and turned his back on them to leave, as soon as he was gone, Selena poke a finger on Alexa's cheeks, "Does he knows that me and, your nemesis had drunk half of it?"

Alexa snickered, with her eyes sparkling cheerfully, she shook her head, "Hush, as long as you didn't spit on it, it should be fine," then, she shrugged.

Selena rose an eyebrow, wondering if Alexa had done the same thing to her in the past, then, she turned to the prince.

"I would completely understand if you will lock her up in your dungeon." Suggesting that she left and went upstairs but, she could still hear the two arguing about the coffee.
