"Want to tell me why are you hiding under the bed," hearing Killian's voice, memories from last night rushed in her mind like a river.
-
"Alejandro, let's break up," after saying those words in an almost whisper, Selena turned her body around, she doesn't want to see his face, the sadness on it after she said those words.
Her eyebrows waggle as her feet started walking away.
Reaching the gate, she shut her eyes, this will be the last time she will step foot in this place, after tonight, she won't see him anymore.
A part of her wanted to turn back but, her body has moved along.
She gulped hard after hearing the door closing, she turned, the door was now closed.
There was a pain in her heart, a light one, was her heart throbbing by the thought of not seeing him again or it was because she pitied him.
She didn't even let him explain himself but, does it matter? She asked herself.
No matter what, her heart wanted to rest, rest from worrying and asking why he's not around.
She thought he was really busy but, the truth was, he's avoiding her.
How could she stay with him knowing what he did?
To her, no matter what his reasons are for doing it, he still shouldn't have done that. If he had just asked her, she would probably ask Daniela to give it to him but what he did, kissing her and smiling at her while stealing, what can she do now than to break up with him?
Her heart was aching but, there was no tears coming out from her eyes.
Why? She asked herself.
Her feet stopped on the side road, it was dark and empty, not even a car was passing. She then realized that Alejandro was living an hour away from the city, her head jerked to her left and then to her right, a deep sigh let out from her lips.
Her hand tightened its grip on the strap of her bag, she waited and waited but no taxi came.
She shut her eyes; she remembered a store a while ago as the taxi she was in - passing the road.
(It's not far, right?) She asked herself.
Her feet started moving towards the direction where she remembered the store to be.
Somehow, walking alone in the dark side road with the cold wind and quiet surroundings has made her feel better.
Her feet don't feel numb even though she had been walking for almost twenty minutes, soon, she saw a light, and signage saying 'convenient store.'
She rushed towards it and when she finally reached it, she pushed the door opened.
She looked around, the convenient store was almost empty, two shelves are facing each other, one of them has some snacks while the other was liquor.
She turned to the cashier; it was just next to the entrance.
A woman with wrinkles on the side of her eyes and mouth was sitting behind the cashier.
Tiredness was pasted on the old woman's face, an old song from the fifties was playing in the store.
She walked towards the cashier, she doesn't want to buy anything but, to just ask why there's no taxi around and where can she get one.
"Excuse me," she tapped her knuckles on the counter lightly, not wanting to startle her.
The old woman lifted her face to look at her, and the moment their eyes met, she smiled.
"Yes?" the sweetness of the old woman's voice reminded her of her late great grandmother, Selena mirrored her smile.
"Where can I get a taxi?"
The old woman looked at her, eyelashes constantly flickering.
"Miss, this neighborhood is privately owned. If you need a taxi, you'll have to call the company or book it online."
Selena bit her lips, ashamed that the old woman knows modern technology better than her.
She nodded and turned; her eyes suddenly caught the liquor on the shelves.
She was never good at handling her alcohol, if she was, she would probably be in the bar right now drowning her problems.
"Miss. Do you want to buy liquor?" Selena turned after hearing the old woman's voice.
She smiled at her, "No, I do crazy things when I am drunk so I will just call a taxi to pick me up," she gave her a mirthless laugh, eyes were looking at her awkwardly.
"If you can't go home, you can rent a room upstairs," saying that, the old woman placed a photo of which seems to be the room upstairs on the counter.
Selena's face went flat, thinking that the old woman was indeed a businesswoman. If not, how could she have a room for rent above her convenient store?
She took her phone out, she only has ten percent and she doesn't even know where she was exactly.
She sighed and jammed the phone back in her purse. With a faint smile on her lips, she said, "I will get the room."
"Since you will be staying overnight, would you like to buy my homemade liquor? It is better than vodka, sweet but it will make all your problem disappear,"
Hearing the old woman's sales talk, Selena's face flattened.
(Daniella should hire this woman to sell her coffee, she'll get rich in no time.)
She shrugged, since she decided to stay, she might as well get drunk.
She doesn't know how much she drunk but, she could see a man in front of her asking why she was here.
Her blurry sight sharpened when she blinked and concentrated at the man in front. Seeing Killian, her lips stretched to smile.
"Hi Killian," she hiccupped and laughed.
"You are drunk Selena. My grandma said you have paid for the room. Let me get you upstairs," after that, she felt his hand behind her knees and back.
Her world shook after he lifted her, immediately she wrapped both hands around his neck.
Her world was shaking as Killian brought her body upstairs.
Soon, she felt a soft bed on her back, and she giggled when Killian forcibly removed her hands around his neck.
"Sleep Selena, I will call your auntie to let her know that you are safe."
She heard those words and saw him turning his back.
With her body lying on the bed, Selena stretched a hand to grab his wrist but, it was too late, he had already left the side of the bed.
She got up; her mind was dizzy but, she was able to get her blurry sight back after blinking her eyes.
She saw Killian standing next to the closed window, she strolled towards him with her weak legs; he was facing the window so she couldn't see his face.
She wrapped both arms around his waist, burying her face on his back.
She could feel his body stiffened, and a smile curved on her lips.
After she heard him saying goodbye to her auntie, a playful thought came in her mind.
Her hand, which was on his waist lowered to his pants. A silent gasp from him rang to her ears.
She was not experienced with this, nor even tried it, so her hands traveled back to his waist though this time, it went under his shirt.
"Selena," she could hear his deep and husky voice as he called her name. Her teeth bit his shirt and later rain his back with small kisses.
She could hear his breathing fastening; his shoulder was stiffened and with that, her hands seductively stroke his stomach.
Her hands under his shirt rose up to touch his chest, they warmed up after touching the hair on his chest, her palms could feel his heart beating like a time bomb.
She gulped hard; Killian's hands lay over hers as she massages his chest.
With a deep and coarse voice, she heard him saying, "Selena, you better stop now or else" There was a threat in his voice but, it didn't scare her instead it only made her lips widened from smiling.
Her hands-on his chest lowered and stayed on her side. She could see him turning around to face her and when he did, she lifted her face.
"I choose or else," saying that with seduction, Selena grasped his collar and pulled him closer.
Before her lips could touch him, she grinned.
"Killian, I am drunk, heartbroken and pretty much horny. If you don't f*ck me I am going out and grab the first man I see,"
Her seductive smirk faded when Killian suddenly laugh. Slowly, her hand let his collar off and slumped her body on the floor.
She pouted as she buried her face on her palms, embarrassed with what she had just said.
Those words were not in her mind, but somehow her lips moved to say it. (Freaking alcohol) she cried inside.
Then she felt a hand on her head, messing her hair.
She looked at him, her face was red with embarrassment.
"Tsk. Look at you. Using those words without thinking."
She pouted and said between her hiccupped, "but I am really drunk and - hic- horny,"
As she said that, another laughed full of amusement let out from Killian's lips.
Then his laugh faded, she was looking at the wall in front while Killian was squatting on the floor next to her.
She felt his hand on her jaw, turning his face to his direction.
"If you said those words to my brother, he would probably ask you to cool down but too bad, you said that to me," saying those words with a smirk on his lips, Selena watched him as their distance shortened.
"Once I kiss you, there's no turning back so tell me now Selena. Do you really want me?" those words were warm and she doesn't know why but her heart – for a moment, stopped. His face was glowing, looking so attractive to her eyes.
She just looked at his eyes shining with lust, she gulped hard and nodded.
"You stole a wine for me on the plane Killian. I still don't understand why would you do that?" she said without answering his question.
She could feel his knuckles slightly stroking her cheeks, her eyes closed to savor the warmth of his skin.
"I would steal anything for you Selena, and I'll do it with no regrets" and with those words, he drowned her senses with his sweet kisses.
