Four days passed after Selena came back from her trip with Alejandro.
She only saw him once and that was when he dropped by at the café after his shift but he only stayed for two hours and later left again. She understands it, he's a doctor after all.
They would text and call each other; he was really busy that's what she noticed. Even when they were talking, she could hear him chewing his food, or hear his name being called in the emergency room.
Sitting in the cafe, she sighed. The café was dark, its past 8 PM and Alejandro told her that he will drop by to see her.
She even skipped dinner so she could eat with him. He said he would be in the café around six and she has been waiting for two hours now.
If she had known that he will be late, she would have eaten the sandwich that Louisa made for her.
She covered her cheeks with her palms, her elbows were on the table.
The café was quiet, too quiet that she could almost hear her own heartbeat.
She groaned silently, wondering if she should message him. The last message she received from him was three hours ago and he said that he will be in the operating room.
(What kind of surgery is that?) She pouted her lip, hoping for Alejandro to appear in the café.
She was about to give up when she heard a knock on the glass door.
With excitement, she rushed towards the door
She pulled the door opened and didn't even bother to look at the person. The street was dark, but Selena knew that it was Alejandro, her heart was sure of it.
She hugged the man in front, her face buried in his chest as she sniffed the scent she didn't smell for days.
"I am sorry for being late," she could hear his voice, deep and exhausted.
Without pulling herself from his embrace, she replied, "Its fine. You are here now," she huffed. Heart feeling at ease after realizing that he's with her right now.
Alejandro stroke a hand on Selena's hair. He had been wanting to see her but, there was a fire incident, all the doctors are busy including him.
He didn't have any decent sleep in the last two days, he even took a taxi so he could come to the café safely.
Feeling the warmth from Selena's body, his body stiffened.
How long has it been since he touched a woman? To remove the thought, he shut his eyes.
"Do you want to come with me tonight?" he suddenly asked. The question was not in his mind but somehow, his lips parted to say those words.
"to your apartment?" Selena innocently asked.
He just stared at her, wondering if he should say yes or no.
"Yes. But do you think your auntie and uncle will allow you? It's pretty late," he worriedly asked.
Selena shook her head and replied, "Nope. I am thirty Alejandro I can go without asking for their permission," with a smirk on her face, she turned and went upstairs to change her clothes.
When she came back, she found a taxi waiting outside. Alejandro opened the door for her.
She sat in the backseat and waited for him. After he closed the door, Selena wrapped her hands around his waist, head leaned on his shoulder.
"How's work?" she asked.
"It's fine. There was a kid with a broken leg, she was pretty brave during the operation," he chuckled as he continued on telling her how the operation goes.
After getting out of the taxi, Selena and Alejandro were both laughing. Selena told Alejandro about Alexa nagging Evan to have a boyfriend since she had one but, her uncle was too cold, saying she could have one after he dies.
Alejandro opened the door and she entered first. Her eyes immediately roamed around his apartment, it was the same as before, and thinking of being alone with him, her heart pulverized.
She was about to take a step when Alejandro seized her wrist, her body was pulled towards him.
Even though her body was startled by his sudden action, her mind was not shaken. She knew it after Alejandro asked her to come to his apartment, she already knows what would happen.
So, when his hand encircled around her waist, Selena made her move and wrapped her arms around his neck.
Alejandro – with his eyes shining with emotion stared at Selena, he didn't hesitate and locked their lips.
His feet moved backward, he walked until his back hit the wall.
His hands went on her behind, he lifted her body, and Selena cooperatively wrapped her legs around his waist.
They gasp in between their kisses, both eyes were closed savoring each other lips. They gently kiss each other, not rushing.
Selena just let Alejandro carried her towards his bedroom, she stayed hugging his neck with her arms while her legs stayed around his waist.
She separated her lips from him to catch some air. She could see his eyes full of lust, his lips that were slightly swollen from her kisses.
She took in a long breath and sealed their lips again.
She doesn't know how Alejandro could open the door of his bedroom; she didn't even feel his hand leaving her behind. She felt secure in his arms, her mind was in dazed as she continued kissing him.
She heard the door closing, and soon her body was slowly going down.
Her heart thumped as her back felt the softness of his bed. This is her first time in his room.
Her eyes opened when Alejandro pulled his lips from hers. She was about to pull him closer when she saw him looking at the space next to her.
She swung her head at her side, seeing a man looking at her with a demonic smirk on his lips has made her scream.
"Killian! You pervert. Get out of my room!" She shouted as she grabs the pillow on her side and hit him repeatedly.
Killian just accepted it all, after Selena stopped, he let out a mirthless laugh.
"What room? I just moved here yesterday so this my bedroom. You two can continue in the living room, I am not interested in watching you," saying that, he snatched the pillow from Selena's hand and used it to cover his face.
On the other side, Alejandro was still confused. He and Killian used to share this apartment in the past. They had a separated single bed in this room but, after their fight, Killian moved out and that was the reason why he removed their beds and replaced it with a king-size bed.
"Killian, I didn't know you are moving back here," he patiently said. His hand carried Selena out of the bed and took a step back, a pair of cold eyes were narrowed as he stared at his brother.
"didn't you receive my message?" Killian innocently asked.
With a poker face, Alejandro shook his head.
Killian blew a sigh, he looked up at the ceiling, as if he was thinking so deep.
"Well, I guess I forgot. Anyway, little brother, I am moving back here so you and your little girlfriend can continue boning each other on the couch. Don't worry, it's very comfy, I have tested it," saying that with a tease, Killian winked at the blushing Selena in his brother's arm.
When the couple left, Killian's smile faded. His head shook as he leaned back on the bed.
"Not on my watch Selena!" He murmured.
His hand took his phone from the bedside table. He unlocked it with his thumb and checked the cameras he installed in the house.
Seeing his brother and Selena sweetly hugging each other on the couch his face wrinkled.
Soon the two started kissing again, and with that, a thought came in his mind.
"Alejandro. My feet are hurting, come and check it." He shouted.
Seeing Alejandro walking back to the bedroom, Killian turned his phone off and posted a faked his pain.
"Killian! Go to the hospital and stop interrupting me!" Alejandro shouted at him.
"But my legs are hurting,"
"you said it was your feet,"
"Both. Both are hurting. Ouch!" he groaned as he massages his legs.
Alejandro shook his head, he left the bedroom and when he came back, he had a wooden saw with him.
Mimicking the grin Killian had earlier, he said, "Painful? Let's just cut it."
