In the cafe.
It was the first day of school. Daniella's kids were in their room, preparing while she and her husband were in the kitchen making the breakfast.
After serving the breakfast on the table, Daniella looked up at the stairs and waited for her kids to come down but, after staring at it for thirty seconds, she started to feel annoyed.
'Triplets, Louisa, are you waiting for Christmas? Come down here before your food gets cold,' she yelled.
Minutes passed but, none of her kids come down, his nose wrinkled with impatience.
She turned to her husband before she completely lost her patience.
'Get your kids. I will open the cafe,' saying that, Daniella went downstairs.
Being left alone in front of the dining table, Evan let out a sigh. Daniella had been in a bad mood since Selena left and he doesn't know why.
He was about to go upstairs when he heard footsteps. Soon the triplets' figured emerged from the third floor, the three were jostling each other on the stairs.
'Hey, Leo! You are wrinkling my uniform' he heard Alexa fussing.
'Dad! Look at Alexa's skirt. It's too short,' Leo said pointing at Alexa's skirt.
Alexa rolled her eyes on her brother Leo. She had her uniform altered.
Her lips twitching with annoyance turned to her father.
Her hands ran to her skirt, smoothing it a bit.
'Daddy, this is really a good design. The skirt I had before was under my knee, I mean, it's too hot!' she exclaimed as she occupied her usual spot at the dining table.
'That is too short Alexa. Do you have another uniform you can wear today?' her father replied.
Alexa parted her lips with shock, she got up and looked at her clothes.
She had a short sleeve white polo with the school logo on her right chest, she had it altered to be fitted to her body and since her figure had grown, the way it fits showed her curvy body.
While her navy-blue skirt was over her knee. She tucked her shirt under her skirt and matched it with a waist belt.
This morning, she was pretty satisfied with her uniform that's the reason why she spent some time in her room and ignored her mother's yell.
She pouted as she hugs herself, 'No! I am going to wear this!' she insisted.
Then her eyes caught her sister Louisa. The girl was wearing the same uniform but her skirt was almost reaching the floor. She used to be like that but after living on the island and seeing the other kids with the short skirt, she realized that she had a style of a teenager from '80s.
She sneered after seeing Louisa, her polo was like a blanket on her, so loose and too long for her body, while her long bangs hide the half of her face.
'Louisa, why your uniform is so big?' she asked with terror.
Her sister – seated opposite to her wrote down, 'Mommy I will grow so I need a bigger uniform.'
Alexa's lips parted with shock, she's somehow glad that she doesn't listen to her mother as much as Louisa.
Alexa took in a deep sigh; she would like to help her sister but, Louisa would only curse her love life if she does.
Then her eyes shifted at her brothers. Aside from their hairstyle, the two had nothing indifference. Leo had his hair messed and gelled while Ethan was brushed on one side.
(Ugh! Am I the only one in this family that knows what fashion is?) she grunted as she sat back on the chair. Determined to wear this uniform today.
(If we just have our own school. I would definitely set uniform rules) she pouted. As she picked up the fork, her eyes turned to her father.
'Dad. Can we open a private school? Like the one we had before?' she innocently asked. She does miss the time where she could freely do everything she wanted since they own the school.
Unlike now, she needs to wear the uniform she doesn't like and be with people who had a lower IQ than her.
'Let me think about it,' his father paused for a moment and then continued.
'No,' he firmly said.
Alexa's face went flat, she knew that he would say no but, she just needed to ask.
'Fine. But remember dad. There are a lot of boys err – girls in there. And there's no camera where you can monitor us so you wouldn't know if I - I mean my brothers would get a girlfriend. Look at them,' she pointed at her brothers peacefully eating their breakfast.
'A lot of girls will chase them. And the teenage pregnancy right now is at the highest rate in history. What if one day, a girl will come knocking on the door or probably not since we don't have a real door, anyway, these two,' she paused as she hesitated on what words she can use to describe her brothers.
'might one day get a girl pregnant and we all know that mommy doesn't want to be a grandmother until she becomes eighty, so daddy, you might want to consider opening a school where you can monitor us,' she lengthy said, and catches her breath.
When she looked at her father, he had a flat expression.
'Alexandria, I am not opening a school. Now, finish your food before your mother comes back here.'
Alexa blew a sigh; her last hope had faded.
'Can I get a boyfriend?' she asked. Seeing the dark aura prowling around her father, Alexa shoved a whole bread in her mouth.
