Alexa groaned by every damp of cotton on her cheek. Her wound throbbed painfully causing for her eyes to tear up.
Sitting in the bed with her mother next to her, Alexa regretted her action, she didn't regret fighting for her friend but she could have gone to a smoother way to fix the issue.
Having so close to her mother, she found a few wrinkles on the side of her eyes. Her irises were glooming as if something was bothering her.
"Mom, what's wrong? Don't worry, this is the first and the last time I will ever be in a physical fight."
Her mother gave a faint smile before putting down the cotton and taking her hands.
"You really are my daughter,"
Those words baffled Alexa. She really thought her mother would scold her by the way she handled the situation.
"Mom, you are scaring me," knowing her mother, she probably had something in mind and that thought had made her skin shiver.
