Selena turned to look at Alejandro. She wanted to see if he was lying, but the expression of pettiness was on his face. It was making her disgust for some reason.
Then she shifted her sight to her father. The same look and she hated it.
"Are you telling me that my baby is dead and I can't have one anymore?" Those words left her mouth in a cold demeaning tone, the pain was hidden underneath her eyes, suppressing her anger from lashing out.
"As I have said, the fluid…"
"YES OR NO!" She yelled this time. Why can't he just answer her straight? Why he kept mumbling words she couldn't comprehend.
"yes," Alejandro answered eventually.
After getting her answer, Selena's eyes shut.
She laid back on the bed, turned to her side with difficulty.
"Selena," her father this time called her name, "I am here. Please talk to me."
"Please leave dad. I just want to be alone."
