Chapter 103 - The Last Great American Dynasty

Selena's eyes twinkled as she met Killian's eyes. The warmth of his palms on her cheeks surely removed all the annoyance she felt after not seeing him for weeks.

Remembering that, she slapped a hand on his arm, "you even bother to show up?" scolding him with a wrinkled face.

Killian accepted it all with a smile. When Selena stopped, he pushed her against the wall, wrapped both hands around her waist and pulled her closer.

"Is that your way of saying you missed me?" His voice was deep, and in Selena's ears, it's even sexier than before.

She doesn't know if she did miss him, or just annoyed that he didn't call her but her heart has been worried thinking about him.

"get out!" she pushed him away, blew out her cheeks, looking irritated.

Killian's head tilted, wondering why she was so angry at him.

"What did I do? I told you I have work."

"What work Killian?" her voice slightly raised, eyes widening in disbelief.

"Well," Killian stuttered, "Selena, if you want me here then I will stay," he sighed, and once again placed both hands on her cheeks.

"I was with your uncle but I am back now and I will stay here until you get tired of my face," he slightly smiled, drew his face closer and kissed the tip of her nose.

"How's Daniella?"

Killian shrugged, "She's not waking up and her hair is so weird, it's turning into white."

"It's normal, it gets white when she's sick."

Selena went silent, Killian was too close but he hasn't made his usual move or even tease her.

"I need to go," Selena said eventually.

"Not yet," Killian said, eyes deeply staring at her, "I didn't see you for weeks so let me stare at your face."

His warm gazes were melting her heart away, she gulped repeatedly, innocence twinkled in her eyes.

"Did you miss me?" his voice was rough like his throat has been dried for years.

She nodded, realizing that there's no reason to lie, "A bit maybe," she replied, lips pouted a bit like a sulking little girl.

"Great, let's go." Killian grabbed her wrist, slightly dragging her toward the door.

"Where are we going?"

Killian turned to face her; his usual teasing smile was back on his lips.

"Darling, we didn't see each other for weeks. What do couples when they meet?" He waggled his brows, eyes shimmered tauntingly.

Selena pulled her wrist from his grip, "stop it Killian, its morning for goodness sake!" she sighed, rested both hands on her waist and met his eyes.

"I need to talk to you later."

Killian's eyes narrowed, wondering what she has in her mind.

"You are not breaking up with me, are you?"

"What?" Selena's expression turned sour, "No, we need to make sure that Kathy won't do any harm to Barney. He's so nice to me and I don't and will never lie to him."

Sitting at the table in the café, Kathy and Barney were discussing the recent crime in the city.

Kathy stared at the hand that served her coffee, her eyes lifted and saw a face she had only seen in the magazines and television.

She smiled, "wow, thank you, your majesty, it's an honor to be served by you," she stated, slightly bowing her head.

Novie's lips twitched, she delicately turned around and walked back to the kitchen.

Barney watched Kathy as she drunk the coffee from the mug, there was some left creamer stained around her lips, he took a napkin and handed it to her, "wipe your lips," he said flat.

Kathy blinked, smiled a bit and shook her head, "clean it yourself."

Barney clicked his tongue, stretched a hand and wiped her lips, "Are you a kid?" he scrambled the tissue and put it aside, "when are you moving out?"

Kathy avoided his eyes, drunk another gulp and pouted her lips, asking Barney to wipe it again.

"Aish!! Stop it now," he complained but grabbed another tissue and wiped her lips.

"You are so cute Barn-Barn," she said in between her grin.

"Stop calling me Barn-Barn, its Barney," he corrected her.

Kathy shook her head, eyes twinkling with a tease, "Nope, I like Barn-barn better."

Barney groaned in defeat, she has been so stubborn and no matter how many times he asked her to leave, she kept coming back.

At school.

Louisa was sitting in the last row with her cousin Alexander next to her.

Her uncle Ken went to the triplets' room and her cousin decided to sit in.

She took her tablet and wrote down, "how long are you going to stay?" she showed it to him, the face of an excited kid registered on her face.

Alexander  smiled back, "one week, Dad said we will stay here for a week."

Louisa nodded, the teacher came and started the class.

Leaning closer to Louisa, Alexander whispered, "why does everyone here avoid you?"

Louisa shrugged, and wrote down, "they think I am weird but they are weird too."

Agreeing to his cousin, Alexander nodded and opened the book Louisa had on her table.

The teacher started the topic and the two cousins attentively listened to the old woman in front.

Ethan was busy scribbling on his pad when their math teacher suddenly called his sister's name for attendance.

"Where is Alexandria Su?"

Ethan met his teach eyes, turned to his side and found Leo looking at him with the same confusion.

"She's sick," Leo shouted.

Their math teacher nodded, walked a few steps closer to them and started the class.

Ethan leaned close to his brother, "I didn't see her in the house."

Leo shrugged, "I tracked her and she's at Stephanie's house."
