"Is that so?" Evelina asked in surprise, but how fake it was everyone caught it immediately because Evelina made it deliberate and none of them were dumb over there.
It stunned the five for few moments. When they regained their senses, Evelina smiled casually and stood up, making others flinch back in fear.
"Don't worry, I don't mind you guys gossiping anyway, so I will definitely not hurt you." Evelina assured them as she turned, walked into the rows of bookshelves and vanished into the sea of books.
"What did she actually mean" Dominique asked as she looked at Antonio in a confused and questioning manner.
"She meant that, if it were someone else who was gossiping instead of us, they would already be six-feet under the ground by now." Antonio answered her confusion nonchalantly, but other went ghostly pale.
"Yes, she can threaten in such a sophisticated manner as well." Antonio answered their next shock as well and stood up.
"Now we need to hurry and pacify the upcoming typhoon so that we could live to see tomorrow's sunrise." Antonio said as he beckoned them to follow him.
"Is Eva really that angry?" Alice asked worriedly. She felt guilty and bad for gossiping about someone who trusted them as best friends.
"Little Sister never gets angry, it is she is disappointed, or she has given up on them. I'm not sure what it is right now, but she truly hates people who gossip." Antonio added a bit of fuel to the fire as he smirked mischievously.
James, Dominique and Alice looked at him in horror as their eyes went wide in disbelief, Lysander was the only one who noticed the playful smirk which momentarily flashed across Antonio's face.
"Oh god! How could we do something like this, if I had known that Eva hates it when people gossip, I would have never done it." Dominique started blaming herself as she knew that her curiosity waged all of this.
"What are you guys so worried about?" Evelina's voice came from behind them, which made them jump up in scare.
"Goodness gracious! Little Sister do you want me to die at such a young age or what?" Antonio exclaimed as he looked at Evelina warily.
"I have better things to do." Evelina said calmly as she looked at Antonio coldly.
"Why that look Little Sister?" Antonio asked in a cautious tone. He made sure to not give away anything or he would be dead meat for sure.
"What did you tell them this time to wage such expressions on their faces?" Evelina asked calmly, though she already guessed that Antonio showed his extraordinary orator skills and would have made them believe into something ridiculous.
"Oh! I was just telling them that how you never get angry but only disappointed or completely give up on people." Antonio said. He skillfully covered both the sides, or that is what he thought.
"I am sure, that is not all you would have said, it would be better if you say it yourself or else the consequences won't look very good for you." Evelina threatened Antonio in a cold and emotionless tone.
Antonio gulped visibly. He knew that Evelina already guessed everything or even worse; she heard him adding fuel to the fire, as none of them knew how long she has been standing over there.
"He said nothing wrong. He only told us that how you hate gossiping and gossipers... Eva, we are really sorry we were just curious about you and that is all." Alice tried to explain everything to Evelina so that the latter does not get the wrong idea.
