"Back to earth James" Evelina said in amusement as she waved her hand in front of his eyes.
When James snapped out of his daze, he was in disbelief and shock. He blinked his eyes to make sure he was really seeing Evelina.
He pinched himself to make sure he was neither dreaming nor hallucinating Evelina seated beside him. After he confirmed it, he felt like a huge weight was lifted off his heart, his heart felt lighter and fluttered at the sight of her warm and gentle smile.
"R-Rose..." James felt breathless, he wanted to say so much to her yet he was speechless and words refused to leave his mouth, as if afraid the illusion would break though he knew it was not one.
"It is fine James, we can talk later. Let's have lunch first and then we could talk" Evelina said with a warm and gentle smile.
She then nodded towards her other friends who were equally stunned and dumbstruck like James. They nodded at her words and seated themselves and started eating their lunch.
Antonio smirked at the way James reacted when he saw Evelina, he was almost sure that there was more to their relation than it meets the eye.
"Why did you suddenly change your mind and wanted to eat in the Great Hall" Ethan asked as he huffed lightly because of being out of breath.
"It was boring to eat all by ourselves in the Guest Hall, so I and Princess Evelina decided to eat in the Great Hall. We apologize to have informed Prince Ethan and Princess Aria on such a short notice" Antonio said in calm tone with slight smirk on his lips.
He loved the irritation on their faces when he addressed them as Prince and Princess, only Ethan and Aria gave him the satisfaction when he teased them. Evelina was least bit fazed with his teasing as she never cared about it.
"Prince Ethan, Princess Aria please be seated and start eating, or else you will miss the lunch over here and will have to eat it in the Guest Palace" Evelina said calmly as she motioned them to sit down as well.
The duo tried their best to not roll their eyes and scoff at Evelina and Antonio who were hell bent on annoying them to death.
They forced a polite smile and took their seats opposite to the duo. Opposite to a Royal Heir only another Royal Heir or the Heir's spouse can sit, it is an etiquette to be followed every time.
Aria and Ethan sat down in frustration and annoyance, they then flipped their plates and served themselves with one of the dishes and started eating begrudgingly.
Evelina and Antonio did not mind them and continued with their own food, as Evelina just had her brunch she did not have appetite to eat so she continued to sip her fruit juice, which worried others, except Aria and Ethan who knew the reason.
"Princess, is the food not according to your taste" Antonio asked in worry as he eyed her empty plate.
"Don't worry Prince, it is according to my taste" Evelina answered in a calm and professional tone as she smirked lightly.
She was satisfied at the annoyed expression, which was displayed on Antonio's face, Aria and Ethan were double checking themselves that they were not displaying a smile because it was just too hard for them to control their laughter.
"Then why are you not eating anything, Princess" Antonio asked in the same professional tone but annoyance and frustration clear in his voice, he was clearly annoyed when he intended to annoy Evelina but instead the plan backfired on him.
