Chapter 2 - Chapter 2. Empire.

The underground country built by monsters, in its structure resembled an inverted pyramid and had 77 levels.

And although the horizontal parameters of the first levels seemed to be the largest, in fact, the total amount of space of each level was the same, because in each subsequent of them grew vertical parameters, which in turn smoothed the decreasing parameters of length and width.

Also in this structure there were five exits to the surface, each of which was tightly closed by the gates of admantium, the strongest alloy on earth.

Each level was administered by its head, the exception was only the lower seven, which was subordinate only to the Lord Inmero.

Kaisar, who was currently on his way to his quarters, was the undivided master of the fourteenth level. His entire army was there, under his watchful eye.

Every day before his suspended animation, he carefully watched, trained and tested his subordinates. For all of them had to be ready at any moment to carry out the order of the Lord of Inmir, no matter what it cost them.

He himself is the fourteenth level was similar to normal, albeit incredibly huge cave. There was not what any of the buildings, but even basic walls.

Stalactites hung from the vaults of the cave, and stalagmites prevented to walk, so many of them were. But to the surprise of all the residents here loved it, they were in complete awe of such a magnificent dwelling. They even asked Kaysar to convey their gratitude to the great ruler for such an amazing accommodation. And although in fact, it was Kaisar who chose this floor and asked not to be subjected to any changes, he did not say a word when his subordinates thanked his master for it.

The thing was that the praise for his undivided Lord was much more pleasant for Kaisar than for himself.

The Bishop was a great being worthy of all the honors of this world, sincerely believed Kaysar. Therefore, he was very pleased that his subordinates think the same.

But now was not the time to admire his master, because he was given orders, personal orders of the Lord, to fulfill that need perfectly.

And in order to do this, Kaisar went to perhaps the only place on his level that could be called a building.

It was a special extension in the northernmost part of the huge cave. It resembled a huge warehouse with many large rooms, which were stored in various, accumulated over many years by the king of the fallen, treasures.

And no, it wasn't jewelry or a rare breed of metal, this is protected by many barriers the warehouse was stored the artifacts belonging to, by itself, to king Kaysar.

Entering one of the rooms, the floor of which was littered with various kinds of bottles, jugs, flasks and boxes. Kaysar slowly proliferous over all these attire, flew to one of the pedestals in the center of the room, on which stood a large porcelain vase with two handles and is inscribed with many symbols that were both outside and inside.

Kaisar raised his hands to the neck of the vessel and began to make sounds like a spell.

Of course, in fact, since the king of the fallen had no mouth, he had no vocal cords. But because of its unique ability to control sound waves, it could reproduce sound of almost any range, expertly controlling vibration waves.

Suddenly, the symbols placed on the vessel shone and a light hit from its neck. At the same moment a lot of small lights with black dots inside, burst from the vase and reaching the ceiling began to fall to the bottom like a black burning snow.

As soon as the vase ceased to Shine all the dark dots engulfed in flames froze in the air, and flared up, exploded in many flashes. From each flare along with flame appeared, like silhouettes of people, shadows. They are hanging in the air looked at his Summoner, of course immediately recognized him.

— Oh, king of those who fell into the depths of darkness, what do you want from us? the shadows asked him telepathically.

— Dark spirits, I have summoned you by order of the Lord of life Inmir, he has an order for you.

— Surely the Lord of the worlds gives us orders. It is a great honour and we will gladly carry out any of his instructions.

So be it. The Lord wants you to use your powers to explore the surface, getting as much information about its nature and those who live there.

— What's the search area?

— One million miles.

— Will be executed.

A hundred spirits of the shadow was lost in space.

They were the perfect scouts. Do not have material bodies, the shadows were easily overcome natural obstacles, and passed through all material objects and can fly with great speed, at the same time by scanning large areas of space.

The only their disadvantage perhaps was that they could not influence the material world. Not only could the shadows not fight, they were even unable to bring any item. Therefore, their main task has always been intelligence and espionage.

Between the first level of the pyramid and the surface, stretched three kilometers of rock and about half a kilometer of sand.

As it turned out, the former once rocky plain for several million years turned into a huge desert with almost completely absent vegetation, which is hardly found in small oases.

Penetrated through the entire thickness of the earth's crust, the shadows easily got out.

Disembodied creatures like them did not need a way out in order to get to the surface, it was enough that they removed a special energy barrier that previously surrounded the underground country pyramid. Without this barrier, the shadows could easily enter and exit despite the depth.

Once on the surface, a hundred shadow spirits, divided into ten equal groups, scattered in different directions.
