Chapter 4 - My new role model

Right now, it's seems that I'm in a staring competition with Abraxas.

In the end, he blinked, and I smirked.

He shook his head, and then said, "What? Are you going to stand there for the whole visit? Follow me."

He walked further into his mansion. On the walls, empty photo frames were placed yet it looked liked it was cheerful waiting to be filled, which is weird.

I didn't pay attention when Abraxas stopped, which cause me to collide with him. I fell on the ground with a hiss before I heard a sigh.

I was picked up from the floor by large arms.

Abraxas stood there confidently, while saying, "I will be carrying you."

I blinked my eyes.

Strange.

Real strange.

After a few minutes, we seemed to have reached a garden.

It was outstanding.

The carefully maintained grass glittered with the sun's rays. The walkway was adorned with rocks clear transparent rocks and logs of wood, which gives a forest-like appearance. Flowers are arranged, and many herbs are visible. We reached the seating area of the garden, where he placed me down. We sat on the wooden chair.

He clicked his finger, and the previous house elf appeared. He said, "A pot of tea, please."

He looked regal and strong.

'Definitely, a level of his own!' I thought. "I haven't seen you since Narcissa gave birth to you. You've grown since then."

'He was there during my birth?', my thoughts begin to retrieve something. A memory of an older man with platinum blond holding my hand as I am on the brink of sleep, while saying, "It's lovely to meet you, my little Draco."

They were warm knowing eyes.

Could it be?

Was it him? The man who looked... just like a normal doting grandpa...

He continued on, not noticing my inner turmoil, "Do you know how to play chess?"

I nodded. He flicked his fingers, and a chess board magically appeared on the table.

Thus, the game started.... and ended with my defeat.

However, what he said next is something I will always remember in my heart.

" Do you see the king and queen here? Who do you think would represent magic, and who would represent wizards?" I answered, "The king is magic, and the queen is wizards."

As he stared into my eyes, he said, "No, in fact, it is the opposite. Magic chooses who is worthy to bestow itself upon, just like the queen. The queen knew the King's worth, so she stood by his side and defended him, as magic would do for a wizard. However, those who are unworthy of magic will find it soon taken away. Tom Riddle is an example of this.

Draco, how do you define magic?"

Sigh..... "If i say that it is my companion, would you believe me?" He raised his brow at my answer as though saying 'Elaborate.'

"Magic can be used by wizards for both good and evil, and many realize that magic itself is not evil. Although magic remains a mystery, but it has been out there, and what is more fascinating than befriending it as a whole? To me, ever since I was born, Magic was always by my side, and will always be, so only they can be my lifelong companion."

Abraxas smiled, masking the beautiful sky, and nodded. He looked quite satisfied, and we sat in comfortable silence, which disappeared as a loud "pop" sound is heard, and the house elf appears once more with a tea pot in its hands.

After drinking tea, Grandpa- yes, I acknowledge him as family- called for dad to get me, and just as we were going to leave, Grandpa straightened his back while saying with a smile, "You are always welcome here, Draco."

My father and I stood there shocked. He...smiled again, and said that I could come back.

He looked so cool while saying that.

Yup! I am definitely going to be like him in the future!!
