Chapter 29 - Their Favorite Author Is?

"Excuse us...Can someone please help check her?"

Rhea's hazy mind could barely process what was going on. She knew someone was carrying her and that someone else was shouting for help...Aziel and Zeven? That's right. Rhea, or rather, Faye Wolfe, had been kidnapped into the sex crazed twin's shiny white sports car. One thing led to another and she finally gave in to the darkness where she belonged.

She could feel one of the twins gently settle her down onto what felt like a bed. At this point, she was awake but still too drained to open her eyes. Rhea only opened her eyes when someone came barging through the door with a familiar voice,

"Where is she?" came Maya's voice. "Sasha called me to tell me what happened. Let me handle this, I'm her personal doctor."

"She is a patient at this hospital. As a nurse, I can..." the nurse didn't get to finish her sentence.

Maya's hand went to Rhea's head and chest, steadily checking for her pulse as she usually did. Then, Rhea heard the sound of the curtains and the lights switching off. Next came eerie music that could have starred in the soundtrack of a horror movie.

"Scary," Aziel whispered under his breath.

Rhea heard Zeven clear his throat. "Uh, Ms. Wolfe's doctor...What are you doing?"

"She needs darkness and time to adjust because it takes a toll when she goes out and interacts with people."

"Darkness?" Aziel asked.

"You said she doesn't like to interact with others...Because of her extreme shyness, correct?" Zeven tried to clarify with Maya.

As the darkness and eerie music calmed Rhea down, she slowly began to open her eyes. Maya stood close to her while the twins were a few feet away. She looked around and realized they had seriously taken her to the hospital. The moment she realized the possibility of her identity getting discovered, Rhea quickly rose up from the bed.

"I'm okay now! T-Thank you Aziel and Zeven but I think I'll have Maya take me home now."

Zeven firmly shook his head at her. "...Ms. Wolfe!...You should rest for a while. You did just lose consciousness."

Rhea groaned. She just wanted to run far away from these twins before they found out the truth. So then, she made the move to shuffle out of the hospital bed. The moment her foot touched the ground, both twins lurched forward to catch her. Instead of falling to their arms like some sappy love story scene, Rhea comically jerked her body sideways to avoid the both of them so the harsh ground could catch her.

She nearly cried out and rubbed her aching butt.

"Ms. Wolfe!" the both of them shouted and ran over to her like a flock of devoted birds.

When they steadied her onto her feet, all hell broke loose when the door opened yet again to what seem like the nurse who was here earlier. She poked her head in and smiled at Rhea, "Ms. Everson, looks like you can go. Our results indicated you were just a little stressed like Maya had indicated. There's nothing serious so you can run along home."

Aziel panned between the nurse and Rhea. She was pulling the strands of her hair out by now.

"Everson...?" Aziel asked.

Rhea laughed it off. "That's my middle name."

"No it's not," Maya interjected, almost shrinking when Rhea flashed her a death glare. "That's your last name."

Good god. Her doctor didn't know she was trying to hide it so she couldn't fully blame her.

Rhea slapped her face with her hand. Now, it was over. She silently prayed inside her head. If this would be her last moments on earth, then at least she wanted to spend it playing her video games. Most of all, she wished her sister would get her romantic life together and be a real mom to Damien. There were still a few things she had yet to part with happily before leaving this ugly world.

"...Rhea Everson, wasn't it?" the nurse added fuel to the small fire so now it raged on like a blazing firestorm.

Both Aziel and Zeven looked at her with wide eyes. She couldn't even look at them in the eyes. By now, she felt like a another heart attack was looming near. It was getting hard to breathe again. The one thing she was trying to hide throughout this whole damn fan event was this exact truth.

Aziel was the first one to laugh from the awkward silence. "Rhea Everson...But that's our neighbor. I don't see her anywhere and it's usually easy to spot her gloominess from a mile away."

Gloominess?! She opened her mouth to say something back but closed it. Rhea deserved that for deceiving them in the first place and not coming out with the truth in the beginning. Now that it has come to this point, Rhea couldn't really hide it anymore. She faced the twins head on and gripped the ends of her wig. She took a deep breath and pulled it off of her to reveal her true self...

Their strange creature of a neighbor, not their favorite imaginary author Faye Wolfe, but Rhea Everson, stood before them!

Aziel had foam bubbling out of his mouth while Zeven just blankly stared at her without a speck of emotion after the grand reveal.
