Chapter 1: The End of the world
"This is cold"
I'd gone downstairs to get ready for school.
My name is Haruhiro Sato, I'm a highschooler. I've been living alone since my parents are away working but they still support me by giving allowance.
I saw the time and i was running late, by the time I've got there, the lecture was already starting.
I've opened the door and the teacher saw me sitting, but she didn't ask me questions why I was late. Allthough my sit mate asked me again. This girl, Ayano Keiko, our class representative. She's really beautiful, she's smart and she's nice, but she's out of my league.
"Hey, why are you late again Haru?"
She always ask me, and i always give her the same answer.
"I overslept"
She always ask then looks away with a smile on her face
"I see"
There it is again, a smile on her face.
When the lecture was over, a friend went over to talk to me. Touma Takanashi he's my childhood friend. We have the same interest's about video games, anime's and other Otaku stuff, yeah we're nerds.
"Hey, have you heard?, there's a new game that's going to be released"
He said it in excitement. I guess he looks forward to it.
"Yeah, an RPG right?, what's the title?"
I saw the trailer last night,It looks good too.
"Cross World"
This game caused excitement all over the world. The summary of it's story says that the demon king Estrarossa shall bring great destruction, and that's where the adventurers come in and prevent this from happening.
"Hey Haru, will you play the game?"
I didn't think Ayano was listening to our discussion. She asked me and she said that she was going to play it, I was surprised that she like's this stuff.
"Yes, probably"
We anticipated it's release, two days from now we'll play Cross world.
Two days have passed. Store's were full of people trying to buy it. The news announced it's release and it surprised me a little that the game was that popular.
I'd gone to buy it with Touma, we've waited for the line and got it together.
"I'm just glad we got it. I'm so tired Haruhiro"
Finally, time to go home and play it.
"See ya, Haruhiro"
Touma was waving with happiness that he got it. I was on my home and I saw this tree.
Why was it digitized? My hands went through it's trunk. The road start's to crumble and get digitized. I've run like hell and start calling Touma
"Hey Touma, listen to me, the everything's starting to get digitized, where are you!?"
He was surprised and I was still running away from getting digitized.
"No way, You're kidding right?, I'm almost at the station"
He thinks that i was just kidding, what an idiot, everything starts to get digitized.
"Hey get away from the train it might get digitized!"
The people noticed it and starts to panic. They've start to ran away and the others got digitized as well. My left foot was starting to get digitized and it starts eating me. Slowly my lower part was already fading away, I've crawled and I don't want to die. The data ate me and It starts to rewrite the world. Everything was eaten up.
So this is what dying feels like. It so cold and I can't move or even lift a finger. After this I can't see a thing, It's so dark and I was scared. Slowly I'm seeing something, a message.
