Chapter 20 - Chapter 19

It was the 3. Night since it all started.

Hans backpack was huge, befitting his size.

Before he evolved it looked on him overload, it was just that he feared leaving something existential behind. That's followed with him taking barely any food with him. The last two days he had just raided the fridges that weren't touched by abnormals. Maps, botanic dictionary, blueprints, books about metal work.

Just because what we have is bad doesn't mean we can't create metal works that keep up with you.

To repeat it he looked overloaded. While carrying it in the first night he was buckling. Only thing keeping him going the increased stats.

Through the evolution and the included height gain, he looked just like a man with a Backpack.

From afar the proportions looked as they should be.

Only when your close up you notice how big the backpack and the man carrying him was. The backpack was already over XX METER high and XX METER weight but it just fit the 2 meter man.

Hans stood at the top of a flat roofed house.

Stretching Hans looked at the sky.

To his right there was a bright orange sky.

To his left the bright stary sky.

„It looks nice, doesn't it?

Without all the pollution and lights of Europe, at Dusk you can now see this masterpiece of art.

One side the last glow of the last era.

Consumed by the darkness,

.

.

.

absolut darkness.

Stars so small representing those fools who still hold hope in their hearts everything will work out fine!"

Against the end of the monologue the speaker got louder and louder and his tone clearly displaying his disgust to a certain kind people.

‚What I see is different.

That last glow is a last huge explosion.

All those big intercontinental war weapons are still active and functional, or who would think that some let's say betrayal, power and communication loss is something those shelters with nuclear arsenal aren't ready for.

Those are major global war assets!

A gun may not be very helpful now but if you drop a nuke on Munich I'm still very sure nothing will crawl out of there.

And those few stars you see are only those that YOU can see.

I can see a see of stars and behind every star is a sun burning for their cause.

Nobody who survived the apocalypse is weak, or they would have been turned.

You maybe respected by your people as a good team captain but your no good leader.

Luckily that position seems to have a capable man.

Although I am not to keen meeting that man.

These 5 guys are their special force they can't stay here forever.'

Around Hans on the roof you could see 4 man and 1 women standing, sitting or leaning against something.

The man speaking before was standing at the edge of the roof looking up in the sky.

It was wishful thinking that they wouldn't notice him. While he hid well, in the evening they still found him.

In the beginning they didn't knew what to do.

As they already understood the system the apocalypse ran on, there was nothing really he could teach them, as such from a trading perspective he came empty handed to the table.

For them also he didn't show any form of hostility, the group still somehow new each other at least over one corner.

Him.

Hans was a stranger from Munich and a powerful one. Just how powerful they didn't knew but also didn't want to pay to find out.

For Hans it came down to the point that he had to relocate.

His original plan was to stay a bit and wander into the city centre from time to time and grow stronger.

Now he would have to settle closer to the city.

The thing was the closer he got the higher the chances of this scenario to repeat it self.

He just wanted to get going. As he was already up and it wasn't to bright he had no problem going on.

However this team didn't want to let him go. They wanted to wait for orders. Those who gave the order couldn't decide what to do. Having such a strong person would definitely help but they also feared the risks with recruiting a stranger.

Poor for both sides was that they never realized the others intentions. Hans didn't know they need so long cause they weren't sure about recruiting him. The others didn't know he never wanted to stay and just wanted to travel further.

Hans did think about making a break for it. He just didn't want to leave his things behind.

Whenever he moved just with the wind that women would be triggered and stare at him intensely.

She was one of two types. The neighborhood alliance had decided on creating this special force to deal with bigger abnormal groups or tier two. They were either tanks or scouts.

It was 3 tanks and 2 scouts.

Tanks were strengthened in strength endurance.

Scouts in agility and perception.

Each one of them had at least one of the two stats at 4.0, while the other was on the way there.

The woman had agility on 4 but her perception was just 3.0 so she over reacted just to often having to predict the opponents move to maximize her agility potential.

————————————

After an hour of awkward silence Hans had enough and it wasn't important to him what they thought of him. He would just start traveling sooner to avoid them.

He stood up.

The situation tended.

He didn't move exactly slowly, he didn't want to give a sign of weakness.

For now they held a certain fear after their first accidental encounter.

While the fear was helpful right now.

It could also be the trigger to having an all out fight.

Just as Hans had finished packing his backpack and slung it over his shoulder he exposed himself as his arm wasn't in position.

The woman wanted to take the opportunity. She never could really sympathize with this giant.

„Stop Anni!"

‚Also he truly isn't to good at reading the bigger picture he is really good at Reading the small picture.'

„By! I'm gone! May we not meet again in the city!".

With as much pressure as possible Hand tried to say that. It really still need some practice on his part of making his opponents feel the verbal threat for real.

With 3 steps and a strong jump at the edge of the roof, Hans got away.

He didn't drop his viligance. His skills were of cooldown.

He did have the curiosity to find out if normal humans also had a crystal in the head.

He wasn't completely against a fight to death.

Mainly because he was sure to be able to kill all of them in under a minute.

Still in the end they parted on friendly terms, maybe they were fated to meet again.

—————————

11 pm.

Hans had successfully circled to the southern end of Rosenheim.

On the southern end, the city center ended directly into fields and villages. There existed no outer districts to the south.

Here the villages were more compact and further apart.

Also it wasn't something to celebrate, he was still somewhat happy finding a village with no survivors.

It had netted him a whole village, quite a few crystals and he could use the old church to set up camp while not being limited by space.
