Synopsis
Hello to all the people reading this novel. Firstly, I want to say thank you for giving my story a chance. Secondly, I want to say that this's my first story and it could be abandoned if I feel like it isn't going the way I envisioned it to. The story is based on the idea that one day people all over the world are given an inheritance of the powers and some parts of the personalities of villains and heroes from both the DC and Marvel universes. Our main character is an average 16-year-old boy from a small rural town near NYC. (I am not sure if I have to say this, but I have seen similar things on many of the superhero fan-fiction stories on this site) Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters whose powers my story uses and anything else from the DC and Marvel universes. I won't include all the characters powers from DC and Marel, just the ones important to the story. (although I'm more than happy to hear some of your suggestions).

Chapter 1 - This is how i woke up

Hello, my name is Alex Woods and till dis' morning, I lived a pretty normal teenage life.

I and my family have been living in this small rural town close to New York, called "Alnwick" since I was five and quite honestly I'm sick of it. The town was ok mind you, with lots of tourist attractions and even an amusement park nearby, there was plenty to do around here. It's the boring routine that gets me.

Every day it's the same: wake up, go to school, have a quick lunch break and it's back to studying, and finally, at 3 pm we were free to go. Normally after school, I would hang out with my friends or make some quick buck helping out at the local diner. I had a normal and boring life like any other teenager.

Now imagine my surprise when I woke up and found an iconic red helmet next to an envelope just sitting on my desk. I have always been a huge marvel fan and magneto is my favorite villain. At first, I thought I was dreaming or Stephanie had finally stopped making cosplay costumes of characters from DC and made something from marvel. (Stephanie's a friend of mine who loves making cosplay costumes and is pretty good at it too, mainly because she worked at her parents tailoring shop since she was twelve.)All these thoughts proved wrong when I opened the envelope and read the message inside. The message was written on completely black paper with faintly glowing silver ink.

"Hello, you along with many others have been selected to receive some special powers from characters of the DC and Marvel universe.

Counglatirations, you have been given the powers of Erik Lehnsherr aka Magneto. You will inherit all of his mutant powers and some of his personality traits as well as his role as a villain, but keep in mind that you don't have to follow your given role.''

For a moment I believed the letter and started imagining how awesome life with superpowers was going to, but all those thoughts washed away when I noticed that I didn't actually feel different in any way and this most likely was just another prank from my friends. So I just continued with my morning routine, thankfully yesterday was the last day of school and summer vacation had just begone. I was still thinking of the helmet and letter as a prank, till a couple of minutes ago when a razor flew into my hands while I was trying to grab some toilet paper.

After I finished my business and washed my hands, I couldn't hold it in anymore and started happily dancing. ;< I got f**king superpowers hell yeah!>

Taking my time and silently celebrating for a couple of minutes I finally calmed down enough to start thinking seriously.

Thankfully Mom and Dad left for a spa resort and won't be back for a couple of weeks, "a second honeymoon" they called it.

This gave me lots of time to prepare and train. I spent the rest of the morning training my control with simple things like knives and forks I even tried bending spoons, but I stopped when I remembered that I didn't actually know how to fix them back. Controlling these powers was harder than I expected, I didn't only have to imagen how I wanted the metal to bend and move I also had to will it. If I had to compare it to something it was like trying to work with some really soft clay. Levitating stuff was easier and while the heaviest thing I could move at the moment was the fridge, I still made some progress with moving it faster and with more precision.

While I was making some lunch, which meant I was sitting at the table and controlling the utensils with my power, the TV switch from the show I was watching to the news channel. They were playing live footage from some bank robbery at first I thought nothing of it. It was too far away from me and I wouldn't be able to get there on time, so no beating up bad guys for today. What grabbed my attention was the mountain of orange rocks that exited the bank with 3 duffle bags in each hand. There was a small part of me hoping that he was actually helping by already beating up the robbers and returning the money, those hopes were crushed when I saw him start sprinting and bawled right trough the police barricade and get in an unmarked white van.

I thought while turning the TV off, a small part of me started thinking about the hate I and the other mutants were going to receive. Even though I knew people already know what mutants are, from the comics and shows, I still couldn't get away from this depressing feeling I had, that we weren't going to be accepted. This was most likely a trait I received from Magneto.

Wanting to get away from these depressing thoughts I got the idea of calling some friends to hang out with, but then I remembered that most of them were either on a holiday with their family or still at work. I decided to go and visit Stephanie at her parent's shop since it wasn't that far away I didn't take my bike and just walked while holding and reshaping a piece of metal in my pocket.

While I was walking by Stephanie's house I had this strange feeling that made the hairs on my neck stand up. I looked around but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary certainly not an 8ft tall green monster or a detective vigilante in a bat suit, so I just continued walking.
