It was an early morning in San Francisco. Clara Tans and her foster family are having tea together.
Vroom ... her foster brother's toy car went down the table. It stopped at her feet.
" Why are you like this? " she said.
" What did I do? " he said in a cute voice.
She picked up the car and gave it back to him.
" Honey, you're going to be late to school. Have you packed everything? " said her foster. mother, Genevia Protinci. She was French.
" Yeah yeah. " she replied with irritation. She went over to the kitchen and kept her mug in the sink. She took her bag from her room wore her shoes and headed out.
She was wearing a pink crop top and black leggings. She straightened her silky brown hair.
Clara called her boyfriend , Dean to pick her up. He came out of the car.
" Hi," he said nervously.
" Hey ," she said .
They tried kissing each other but they were nervous. Finally, their lips touched lightly. He opened the door for her and let her in. He came to sit and started to drive.
It was an akward silence. Dean tried holding Clara's hand. He was a nervous wreck. Clara felt the touch on her hand and smiled.
" You know something? We have been dating for almost two months and it still feels like we have a huge crush on each other. " said Clara .
" What do you mean ? " he asked.
" We are so nervous around each other all the time. "
" Yeah. I guess so. Why are we like this? "
" I don't really know. "
They chuckled and properly held hands.
They reached school and parted their ways. Clara couldn't stop thinking about Dean. She was lucky to have him. She walked in and saw Janessa, her best friend since kindergarten.
" Clarie !! Over here! " Janessa shouted for her friend.
" Jan don't scream too loudly. Look, everyone is literally staring at the both of us. " said Clara.
Janessa apologized and showed Clara a file with a picture on it.
" It's your boyfriend's file that you have been looking for. I found it in the teacher's lounge." said Janessa with a wide smile from ear to ear.
" You found it? Finally I can look up the fact that we are not cou- " she stammered when she read all the facts about him.
" Clarie , tell me. Are you two relatives? " she asked in curiosity.
" In a way, yes. I mean, I know I'm adopted but why are my old parents' names here as his parents? I think we're siblings ", Clara said holding back her tears.
Janessa gave Clara a hug.
" Does Dean know about this? " Janessa asked
" I don't think so ", Clara cried. " But all that I know, the only man I love in my life, turned out to be my brother. I can't tell him. No. I love him and I don't care if he's my brother or not. ",
" But what if he... you know... plays you? He's your brother. ",
" So, he is my boyfriend too. He can do whatever he wants to do. ", said Clara as she walked away ignoring whatever Janessa said.
