Chapter 31 - Wedding planer Betty(31)

Bella had a fun time with Zane. She forgot her troubles and just let her self enjoy the night.

When they returned they found Bret and Betty in the lobby.

Bella froze and backed into Zane.

Bret pushed Betty forward.

"Bella... I'm sorry. I was very jealous of you. Your Smart, Funny, and the most beautiful girl. I have always been jealous of you. I'm not sure what I was really thinking... that not right I do understand... I thought if you stayed away from him a little longer he would get mad and leave you alone. Please Bella forgive me I'll try hard to be a better sister."

Bella shook her and walked over to give her sister a hug. "I forgive you. What are you doing tomorrow?"

"Still looking for a job." Betty says.

Bella looked at Zane and as if he could read her mind he shook his head yes.

Bella smiled, "The you got one. I need a wedding planer. You are the best at arranging partys and I will pay for your help."

"Really" Tears filled Betty's eyes. " I would love to."

"Be here at noon we can have lunch and that should give you the morning to get ideas." Bella said.

Zane took out a credit card. "Anything you need to get to help plan this, charge to this card. But I remind you I will look at the charges and if it's not related to the wedding then I take it out of your pay."

Betty took the card. He was trusting her too. More tears filled her eyes.

After everything was said they headed up. He allowed her to take a shower and get ready for bed. And as He jumped in to get cleaned up, she started a new story.

◇◇◇♡♡♡◇◇◇ DUMMLING AND THE THREE FEATHERS

Once upon a time there lived a King who had three sons; the two elder were learned and bright, but the youngest said very little and appeared somewhat foolish, so he was always known as Dummling.

When the King grew old and feeble, feeling that he was nearing his end, he wished to leave the crown to one of his three sons, but could not decide to which.

He thereupon settled that they should travel, and that the one who could obtain the most splendid carpet should ascend the throne when he died.

So that there could be no disagreement as to the way each one should go, the King conducted them to the courtyard of the Palace, and there blew three feathers, by turn, into the air, telling his sons to follow the course that the three feathers took.

Then one of the feathers flew eastwards, another westwards, but the third went straight up towards the sky, though it only sped a short distance before falling to earth.

Therefore one son travelled towards the east, and the second went to the west, both making fun of poor Dummling, who was obliged to stay where his feather had fallen.

Then Dummling, sitting down and feeling rather miserable after his brothers had gone, looked about him, and noticed that near to where his feather lay was a trap-door.

On lifting this up he perceived a flight of steps, down which he went. At the bottom was another door, so he knocked upon it, and then heard a voice calling--

"Maiden, fairest, come to me, Make haste to ope the door, A mortal surely you will see, From the world above is he, We'll help him from our store."

And then the door was flung open, and the young man found himself facing a big toad sitting in the centre of a number of young toads. The big toad addressed him, asking him what he wanted.

Dummling, though rather surprised when he saw the toads, and heard them question him, being good-hearted replied politely-- "I am desirous to obtain the most splendid carpet in the world; just now it would be extremely useful to me."

The toad who had just spoken, called to a young toad, saying-- "Maiden, fairest, come to me, 'Tis a mortal here you see; Let us speed all his desires, Giving him what he requires."

Immediately the young toad fetched a large box.

This the old one opened, and took out an exquisite carpet, of so beautiful a design, that it certainly could have been manufactured nowhere upon the earth.

Taking it with grateful thanks, Dummling went up the flight of steps, and was once more in the Palace courtyard. The two elder brothers, being of the opinion that the youngest was so foolish that he was of no account whatever in trying to obtain the throne, for they did not think he would find anything at all, had said to each other: "It is not necessary for us to trouble much in looking for the carpet!"

so they took from the shoulders of the first peasant they came across a coarse shawl, and this they carried to their father.

Zane sat in the chair watching Bella eyes light up at what she was reading.

He then pulled out his laptop to get some work done.

When he looked over next the book was laying on the bed and Bella was fast asleep.

He looked at the thick book. It was worn and from the library. He would have to start filling his library with books Bella would love. He then got into bed pulled her to his chest.

That night he had a dream of his Beauty with three small children around her. As she read to them they were all lost in the story.

Three would be a good size family. Two boys and a girl. He would love to have a little one like Bella to spoil.

As he dreamed the little girl ran into his arms, "Papa your home. Play with me."

"Your Papa is tired, I'll play after dinner." He said carrying the child over and placing a kiss on his wife lips.

"Candy Land?" The child asked.

"Yes Candy Land, your brothers can play too."He laughed as she puffed out her cheek.

Then the dream changed. Bella hair was silver but she was still the most beautiful woman he has ever know. In her lap is twins a boy and girl, "Nana read us a story."

Grand children, would he be that lucky to live that long with his beauty.

When he woke he felt like something was lost and he had to work hard to find it.
