Bella's team got to work, ready to work.
"Today we will break up in teams of two we will start on the three smaller parlor. After lunch we will work together on the ball room then tackle one of the guest rooms up stairs. Yesterday I already set the room notes so lets get busy."
Zane once again watch her set out and tackle the day. At least this time she let one of the girls help her. Why does this little girl with no backing interest him so much.
He had wished today he could put off his meetings but he could not so he had to stay content just watching her through the cameras.
Then just as a report about cost was being talked about, "Shit!!!" He ran out of the room.
"Mrs. Potter go to the red room there's been an accident." He yelled as he got to his car and raced home.
Beth was on a ladder carefully cleaning each crystal on the chandelier. How in their right mind put something like this in a bed room. As she moved just a little the whole chandelier came down on top of her. Everyone rushed over and lifted it up. She was lying there cut up badly. One of the girls dialed 911 and the other went to look for Mrs. Potter but just as she reached the door Mrs. Potter came running in.
"An ambulance is on the way. She is breathing but unconscious." One of the guys said.
"Tell me what happened?" Mrs. Potter said.
"Bella was cleaning the crystal. She is always very careful and the best one here to handle such work. We were all doing what was assigned so We are not sure what happened."
Mr. Heart arrived before the Ambulance and raced up stairs. He sent two down to bring the medicis. He carefull check her over from head to toe and when the medicis arrived he gave them a detail of all her out side injury and possibly inside one.
He then followed them to a private hospital. Zane had made all the arrangements to take care of his girl.
"I want someone you trust to look at this accident and tell me how it happened?" He ordered someone on the phone.
He then called the company she worked for to get next of kin.
He had the hospital give her family a call as he waited.
Mr. Beauté got the call and went to his supervisor. "My daughter was rushed to the hospital I need to be there."
"You can't leave in the middle of a work day. Request rejected. Go after your work is done."
Mr. Beauté was heartbroken he wanted to be with his little girl but he had to keep his job. He gave Bret a call and sent him to the hospital.
Bret rushed over and was taken to Bella room.
'Who was this young man' he was expecting her father. She had better not have another man
"Who are you?" Zane asked.
"I'm her brother Bret Beauté. My father sent me to look after my baby sister."
"Why did he not come?" Zane asked.
"The ass hole company he works for would not let him off." Bret said.
He would destroy this company who would not let someone leave a company when a loved one need to be the hospital. "Where does he work?"
"Puissance Entreprise, he works in the mail room." Bret said.
Zane's eyes went wide. His own company. He excused himself and made a call to the HR department.
"What is our policy for emergency leave?" He asked.
"We don't have one really, when ever request is summit and evaluated it is looked at. If leave is granted they can leave, if its not they must stay at work. If they go ahead and leave there job is terminated." She said.
"Did Mr. Beauté ask for leave,?" He said.
"Yes, and it was denied. He was sent back to work." She did not understand why she was being questioned. She was only forcing the policy.
"Tell me what he asked for?" Zane was getting red from anger.
"He said a hospital called, his youngest daughter had an accident and was unconscious. She was stable so He did not need to be there. I sent him back to work." She had a bad feeling about this the more she talked.
"And if she dies before work is over?" He said.
"That is his problem not the companys. Sir all of these rules or in the company handbook. I just follow the rules."
"Tell Mr. Beauté to hurry to the hospital and not to worry about his job. Then send a copy of the employee handbook to my office for review. Also anytime the hospital is involved you let our employees go with out fear of losing their jobs."
"Yes, Mr. Heart"
Mr. Beauté was then sent to be with his daughter.
Jake waited around and as soon as her father arrived he slipped out to find out what happened.
It seemed that the company that had put in the chandelier did a poor job and just at that time with a little pressure it came down.
This made his anger go down hard. The company was his with in a few hours. Then he found the crew that had put it in and they disappeared from the city.
A new light was then put into the room and the five people left finished up for the pay.
Bella finally woke up. She hurt a little but not bad. So her father took her home to rest. She decided to read....
opening the book...
◇◇◇♡♡♡◇◇◇
As soon as he was gone, Beauty sat down in the great hall, and fell a crying likewise; but as she was mistress of a great deal of resolution, she recommended herself to God, and resolved not to be uneasy the little time she had to live; for she firmly believed Beast would eat her up that night.
However, she thought she might as well walk about till then, and view this fine castle, which she could not help admiring; it was a delightful pleasant place, and she was extremely surprised at seeing a door, over which was wrote, "BEAUTY'S APARTMENT."
She opened it hastily, and was quite dazzled with the magnificence that reigned throughout; but what chiefly took up her attention, was a large library, a harpsichord, and several music books. "Well, (said she to herself,) I see they will not let my time hang heavy on my hands for want of amusement."
Then she reflected, "Were I but to stay here a day, there would not have been all these preparations." This consideration inspired her with fresh courage; and opening the library, she took a book, and read these words in letters of gold:
"Welcome, Beauty, banish fear, You are queen and mistress here; Speak your wishes, speak your will, Swift obedience meets them still."
"Alas, (said she, with a sigh,) there is nothing I desire so much as to see my poor father, and to know what he is doing." She had no sooner said this, when casting her eyes on a great looking-glass, to her great amazement she saw her own home, where her father arrived with a very dejected countenance; her sisters went to meet him, and, notwithstanding their endeavours to appear sorrowful, their joy, felt for having got rid of their sister, was visible in every feature: a moment after, every thing disappeared, and Beauty's apprehensions at this proof of Beast's complaisance.
