Chapter 17 - Sulcan part 4

Ariock pov)

'I got Lucky, very lucky, if I had been even a minute later I don't know what the results would have been. '

These were the thoughts running through my head as I gently laid My friend Walter on the ground.

Things could have gone a lot worse. The aura wasn't a boost or blessing from some God, it was a parasite that fed off of negative emotions and blood shed.

The more anger you felt and the more murders you committed the stronger you became, however it came at a heavy price. The stronger and faster your body became the more your life span shortend and your intelligence dwindled.

That's not all as it doesn't stop there, after your long and dead (if the parasite wasn't removed) it eats your soul preventing you from going to an after life.

Not to mention it would have been quite difficult to get rid of it after some time, since it binds with its host.

'That's one nasty parasite if you ask me.Though what it does with the life force taken is concerning.'

After taking some life force of its host the parasite sends it somewhere. Where I have no idea, but I do know someone who might.

Shaking those thoughts away I stood up and looked at my surroundings, shaking my head sadly as I did so.

'So much destruction everywhere, it's going to be one hell of a job to clean this up.'

That wasn't an over estimation either, as not only did nearly 40% of the buildings in the district get destroyed one way or another, but a good amount of people were killed long before I could get here.

Knowing this didn't effect me much, but as a way to help the dead rest in peace I decided to end this much quicker than I normally do.

In a way that benefits me of course , but first let's look for the source since even if I did absorb all these parasites more would just show up.

Guess it's time to visit a friend.

(Ariock pov 3rd Pov)

When Ariock arrived via portal at his friends home, he was as always met with a sword swung towards his face held by the one and only Luke God of detectives.

Luke himself doesn't look like much. Average build, average height and a completely forgettable face and black hair. He wore a large brown trench coat that reached the bottom of his leg.

Dodging the attack with practiced ease Ariock smirked before closing his portal and quickly kicking the sword out of Luke's hand.

The now disarmed God simply glared at Ariock before smiling.

"What's the score now?"

"I believe it's 250-275 now." Ariock replied

Luke looked a little taken back from that info.

"I call bullshit on that." he said regaining his glare

Trying to sound like he had no idea what he was talking about (Which he failed at) Ariock said " I have no idea what you're talking about."

The black haired detective God simply deadpanned at Ariock.

" Do not test me Ariock I'm not called the god of detectives for nothing" said luke with a slight sadistic grin on his face.

Ariock visibly paled at that threat as he has before felt Luke's wrath, the things he somehow finds out about you is astonishing.

"Anyway" Luke started his grin fading into a semi-serious look" who do you need me to find."

Not even bothering to ask about how he knew he was looking for someone he retold his story.

........................................

5 minutes later.

"Hmm... I believe I understand the situation" said Luke while contemplating what he just heard.

Ariock stayed silent knowing better than to talk when Luke 'put on his thinking cap' so to speak

"You said that they had blood red eyes and radiated blood lust right?"

Ariock nodded his head in confirmation.

"Clearly your dealing with a bloodlust God at the least, at the most a Chaos God ." The trench coat wearing God said furrowing his brow.

Ariock once again just nodded his head since he thought the same.

"I'd say mostlikely a bloodlust one since a chaos God normally will do much much bigger 'stunts'. "

"I think the same" Ariock Replied agreeing with his assessment.

"The problem is which one? Though that can be solved fairly quickly thanks to the fact most bloodlust/murder Gods have a signature." Luke said sagely.

Ariock looked Slightly curious, but shut that down for now. Job first, quinch thirst for knowledge later.

"So judging by what you've told me the best subject is Gora God of murder, bloodlust, killing intent, and rage. The reason being she is the only one who uses that kinda signature to kill."

"That's great! Now all I have to do is find Gora and beat her ass to the ground!" Ariock said excitedly.

"Hold your horses there Ariock there's one problem with that plan."

Slightly frowning Ariock motioned Luke to continue.

"Gora has been in a seal for the past thousand years and hasn't woken up since. Even if she did now just wake up, all of us would have been able to sense it, after all she was a pretty high ranking God." Luke said confidently.

Ariocks frown went deeper realizing he was right.

"However this only leads to one conclusion, someone's harnessing Gora's power from her resting place."

Ariocks eyes widend slightly before responding.

"That's quite... Troublesome. Do you know the location of Gora's seal?"

Luke nodded and waved his hand behind him opening a grey portal.

"Thanks man I appreciate it."

"No problem After all I've gotta help a friend out" said Luke smiling.

Ariock smiled back before walking into the portal ready for anything.
