Two days before the first case of the zombie outbreak hit the news, Sakura was walking aorund the vibrant city in New York as she sucked on hee finger while lifting ice cream from her lower lip. Her curves were well hidden beneath her cloak as it made he look like a sort of Post-Apocolypse cosplayer.
However, she knew she was only preparing as she had metal braces on her arms and legs, as well as all over her body. She had various hidden blades and multiple weapons she could use in the heat of the moment. Her most lethal and dangerous was a short Japanese style katana she had 'borrowed' from a wealthy political figure and soon, her outfit was complete.
Sakura held her "Gods-Eye" in constant view as she was waiting for the world to tale a turn for the worse.
For the next two days, the first confirmed report after several other unnamed incidents broke out to the public.
'... It's finally begun. 'The sentence carried a heavy weight yet, Sakura instantly knew what she had to do.
Peering up, she saw many people suddenly stop to a halt as they glanced down at their phones in confusion. Some screamed while others shook their heads in disbelief. However, the one and only figure Sakura had her eyes on was none other than the woman from her previous life's past.
Though, Sakura could easily search up her name and who she was, she didn't as she felt she needed to maintain a level of privacy. As such, she never knew and held back from knowing as she wanted to greet her properly.
Going home, Sakura followed close behind as the only information the girl's future self taught Sakura in her past life was from where she grew up and how she loved the ice cream stalls in her neighborhood she used to go to before the apocalypse broke out.
Covering her tracks, the girl began to feel uneasy after reading the latest breaking news as the updates were around the clock in every second from all over the world.
~
Finally arriving home, Sakura sat with her exposed foot raised up on a nearby tree as her armor made a slight scraping noise and turned her distant gaze at the live video feed of the girl inside her house.
Her parents were split as one was calling g friends and relatives while the other east desperately packing their things. The girl could only shiver and tremble as she felt as afraid as her parents.
Quickly rushing upstairs and starting to pack her things after retrieving her suitcase from her closet and calling up all her friends. Sakura turned to several individual screens as her freinds were all either in a state of panic or in denial. The more smarter ones came around with their families and bands together with the girls parents.
After three sets of cars arrived and met up, the parents took charge and discussed where they would go. Turning the gravity of the situation into reality, they had no time to waste as thyme knew their families safety was paramount.
Sakura then noticed the many scattered incidents begin to spread here in the city and the lust was piling on. Sakura soon knew that these people were going to rely on each other rather than the military or the government as they knew it wouldn't end well.
Climbing into their cars, they then drove up the hill and like most, headed out of the city yet, quickly diverted and in turn, headed to a mountain. Sakura was walking effortlessly as she could teleport wherever she pleased.
Stopping and looking down at the small convoy, the first zombie stragglers shocked the individual families and soon enough, one car reversed and spun while running off. Sakura noticed the feed and exhausted a short breath as they soon dove head-fiedt into a small horde and were instantly surrounded as their car was caught over a pile of zombies.
Turning her attention, she then saw the girls face as she didn't shed tears ratherzshe held an annoyed and betrayed expression as she somewhat expected what happened to happen.
After a short while, the path cleared and the two remaining cars drove forward with haste.
Finally, after an hour, they arrived at a mountain on the other side of the city where they then took the open lane and headed toward Canada.
~
Taking a break in a slight clearing overlooking both ways, the two small families set up camp and it was then where Sakura looked up the road and noticed a merry band of unsavory criminals who were having the time of their lives just a few miles down the road.
Sakura could easily wipe them out yet, she waited to see what would happen as she had an inkling about how the girl came to her unfortunate circumstances from back then.
Sure enough, the biker group began strolling by and soon turned to surround the two small families. Evil glints in their eyes scanned the four females in their group while the men tried to reason with them. The first to get hit was the girls father while her friends father was struck on his stomach and collapsed.
Seeing more or less their fighting potential, Sakura then teleported behind the two outer most bikers and soon enough, two shadows screamed past the leader of the gang as they all instantly turned to see their comrades had died in such a horrible manner.
"Who-"Without waiting for the leader to finish his sentence, Sakura sheathed her katana as she suddenly stood behind the large, burly man as his upper torso fell from his body and hit the ground.
The others soon stood shocked until few puked while others cowered and others raged. However, Sakura was to overwhelm ad her gaze alone sent them scurring off. Heading down the mountain, Sakura would later dispose of the rest of the gang later that night to rid thw world of unwanted scum.
Turning her back, Sakura ignored the many stares around her as she looked at the leaders motorcycle with a gentle set of eyes. It was indeed a beauty for it's series. Raising her head with an amused grin on her face, a stoic expression took up her face as she turned around and met the two families.
"... Idiots. "Bluntly speaking, Sakura's abrupt insult was misinterpreted as confirmation that they were now safe.
"E-Excuse me, but, who are you? How... Why did you... "The girl's friend could not finish her questions as she immediately turned to stop herself from throwing up.
"I'm Alyssa. These are my parents, Lin and Kira. And this is my best friend Emily and her parents, Mr and Mrs Hatsune. Thank you for saving us miss-"
Titling her head, Sakura really wanted to smile but restrained herself.
"Sakura Hajime. "Sakura then gave a kind and elegant curtsy as she then raised her back eyes with white lining. Many of them gasped while Alyssa could not help but marvel at the breathtaking sight that was the girl, Sakura.
"I-It's an honor to meet you, Sakura-San. "Raising her gaze at Lin, Sakura sensed an insidious glare in his eyes. 'Trouble. '
Sakura now faced a new dilemma as she would have never guessed the girl who had changed her life in her previous one, had a weak and spineless father. It was then at that mkennt that Sakura went over the events and glared as she noticed Lin's eyes dart to Alyssa and her friend as well as his wife. 'So, he was willing to sell them out just to save his own skin... Coward! '
"You were going to sell out your precious wife and beautiful daughter. Don't bother lying, I have been blessed by the heavens and come from a prestigious family with ties all around the world. I was only here in the US for sightseeing and ran into you lot. I saw it all. "
The moment Sakura outed Lin, he visably took a step back while shouting, "Y-You, how did you-". Unable to finish his sentence, it was too late as Kira stepped back with Alyssa in her arms as they looked at Lin with disdain and betrayal.
"The weak shall trample on all that which they are...
Thise that carry the shadow of death...
Are nothing but husks that readily cast jems and jewels to demons...
All for the sliver of living another day... "
Sakura's poem carried a swift and sharp message. She was telling the group that Lin would only do what he had to to survive in the new world. Thinking this, Alyssa quickly diverted her anger toward her father and stopped herself when she turned to find nothing in the spot Sakura stood.
"Hey, where did-"The Hatsune's stepped back as none of them realized where the beautiful teenage girl went.
"The motorcycle is also gone! "Turning to the empty spot where the leaders bike was, they all held confused expressions as they were both gone. "What is happening... What the hell is going on!? "
The group put aside Lin and looked around, finding no trace of the girl.
Finally giving up, the group began to mingle with one another as Lin w excluded from their talks.
All the while, Sakura sat perched high above the family on the side of the road. Her eyes looked into the air as a vast sea of clouds could be seen yet, Sakura only looked as she whispered under her breath. "... Alyssa. "
~
Two days have passed since the incident in the mountains. Now, the two small families were traveling on a snow coated road into Canada's lower region. Alyssa looked around as her friend, Emily was still a bit traumatized over the whole ordeal a few days ago. Thinking had Sakura not shown up, she and her mother, along with Alyssa and her mother would have found a fate worse than death.
"The new world is scary. "The simple statement echoed in everyone's ears as the proof was sitting right behind them as Lin and Mr Hatsune drove in the opposite car behind the women.
"Mom, where exactly are we going? "Alyssa asked curiously. Kira lightly shrugged her shoulders as they didn't really have any place in mind. "... Okay. "
Changing glances to the outside, Alyssa's heart had begun racing whenever she thought back to Sakura who appeared in all her glory. Brandishing skills and swordsman-ship beyond any normal human's limits. She was elegant, beautiful, and powerful.
The only clues Alyssa had about her was her identity and her beautiful name. With a last name, such a prestigious title, one would bekeive instantly that Sakura came from a powerful family.
"... Hajime, Sakura. "Alyssa's face lightly blushed as she felt it wouldn't be the last time she would see Sakura.
Somewhere near yet far, Sakura's face lit up with a smile.
