Did I transmigrated into a novel?!” Join the world where love knows no Boundary. ————————————————————————————————————-———————— Behind us a big commotion arose and we were tossed to the sidelines like the forgotten rag dolls. Cameras flashing. Reporters hovering the place to get the perfect shot, each scraping for even the tiniest glance at the powerful figures that emerged out of their cars. I was left in awe of the dazzling socialite ladies as they strutted across the carpet, ignoring everyone they deemed beneath them. Their million dollar dresses and jewelleries leaving everyone with envy. Accompanying them were the well - known businessmen whose money never seemed to run out. Following behind them came the well - known actors and actresses. They waved and smiled while the onlookers screams of joy and appreciation for them filled the environment. I nudged Rebecca and whispered “Can I go back now?” “No way! It’s a masquerade ball. We can be anyone we want.” She replied while smiling ear to ear. “Ok” I thought as my confidence level piped up a bit. No one was gonna know that a complete outsider had entered their territory. . . . "Stop! I don’t want to dance." "We’re in a masquerade ball! That’s what people do. Dance." "But...I can’t." He gave a little chuckle enjoying our little fight before he intervened, "It’s ok. I can teach you. Just follow my steps." "Common Hayls. Go on." "Alright, I’ll go," I said, giving her a look. "Have fun!" She gave a soft cheer before focusing all her attention back into her plate. He held my left hand and gently led me towards the dance floor. The music soon changed to something more romantic. The magic of love by Russel Watson and Lionel Richie started playing in the background. Soon all the couples started dancing together. "Are you ready?" The man whispered in my ear making me blush. "Ready as I’ll ever be," I replied hesitantly. "Don’t worry. I’m here, just follow my lead." He gently held onto my waist with his right hand and grabbed onto my right hand with his left. I lightly placed my left hand onto his right shoulder and we started our slow dance. "Right, left, Glide, glide…" Along with our dance, he kept whispering the steps to me and soon we were in sync with each other. We spun, laughed, and before the end of our dance, the music went into slow beat again. We softly danced to the rhythm as I basked in his rich and beautiful fragrance. It was all truly a magical moment. . . . Hello everyone I’m Bandana & this is my very first Novel. I hope you’ll all enjoy 1 chapter up daily Instagram - @author_br Discord - b_r2 #2557

Chapter 1 - Prolong

Ring..ring..." please leave a voice message".

Klaus, please call me back when you get this message...I..I..really need you.

Beep beep beep... I watch helplessly as her heart rate slowed down then nothing, just a straight line showing it's the end of her journey.

"I'm sorry Hayley, she's no more." Doctor Simon manages to blabber, at-least that's all I could hear.

I nod in my state of shock.

They say God always takes away the best people but what about the ones left with the loss and sorrow of their departure.

I'd just wished at least on her deathbed my father would have come to visit, even just to say farewell.

"Are you the daughter?" Asked the short nurse, shaking me out of my thoughts.

"Yes.." I answered her weakly.

"Miss Hayley right? please fill this form" she left urgently after handing the form to me as if I was some sort of a criminal.

Ting!

"Come to room 801 Palacetine hotel asap, your boyfriend's in trouble" I couldn't care less about it being an unknown number, all I could read was trouble and boyfriend. My half functioning brain only showed me the worst case scenario. I was mentally and physically worn out from losing my mum, losing someone important again would completely break me apart.

Bang! I kicked the door open, praying he was safe, praying it was just a prank.

I poked my head in slowly then I stopped...I was left utterly shocked...It was the scene I would never forget, the scene that tore me down completely and broke my heart into a million pieces.

Klaus and Ashley were together, naked in the same bed. His tongue halfway down her throat.

What the F*** are you guys doing?! I screamed jolting them apart.

"What are you doing here!" Klaus hissed.

"Get Lost! You filthy Woman!"

His heartless words rang in my ears as his dark eyes remained piercing right through me.

Fat hot tears tumbled down each side of my cheeks as realisation hit me. Ashley, the step sister who I forgave time and time again believing we'd one day become close. She slowly, but surely took everything away from me. Starting with my father, my home, my friends and now my Klaus. My first love.

"Why would you do this to me, Klaus?!"

"I should be the one asking."

"I don't understand. I have only ever loved you...."

"Well, I don't love you. You hear me. Now get lost and don't ever show me your face again!"

He shouted at me, annoyance clearly written over his face for disturbing their moment of pleasure.

Ashley smirked at me, savouring her victory.

"Please be a little nicer, Klaus. After - all, she is still my sister."

Ashley quickly changed into her meek persona, pretending to sympathise with me. To which Klaus gently caressed her head, looking at her lovingly. The gaze which used to belong only to me.

He shifted his attention towards me, his gaze swiftly changing to that of a devil.

"You don't deserve to be her sister. Both you and your mother can only ever be someone's mistress."

All his fake love and promises flashed before me. His words ripped my heart out, shattering into countless pieces. And, that too at the crucial moment when I had absolutely no one to help me pick it back up. He was supposed to be consoling me, telling me everything will be alright, he will be there for me but what I get instead is his hatred.

"Whatever you say, Klaus..."

I weakly say before leaving out the door. I didn't look back. How could I? I wasn't stupid enough to see the man I love with another women for any longer…

My tears taught me a lesson that day, which I should've learnt many years ago.

Don't ever trust a Man...
