Inside the trial room,
Facing each other they both stand across the room.
"Mrs. Rachel Frensby case will begin now" Court attended stated as the judge sat down on the seat.
Kevin smirked when he saw the judge, It was that older man who he despises the most but right now he would be the biggest lucky charm for him.
William Marshall is a great judge but his mentality is really narrow. And his narrow-minded mentality will really help him to win this case.
"Your honor, My client Miss. Rachel Frensby was tolerating her husband's behavior for 2 years but it gets extreme when she finds him cheating on her, she insisted on divorce her husband, Mr. George Frensby. Mr. Frensby lost his temper and forcibly intimated with my client, and not only it ends here Mr. Frensby beat my client so brutally that she get into a critical situation with 12 FRACTURES and 3 RIBS BROKEN"
Scarlet glared at Kevin as she walks forward and passes some documents to the peon "Your honor, These are the medical certificates and the audio statement of the doctor"
The judge heard it carefully and nod looking at scarlet, "Mr. Miller, do you want to agree to all this?"
Kevin smirked as he steps forward "No, Your Honor"
Kevin look at scarlet as he stated "I'll like to call the doctor who treated Mrs. Frensby in the witness box"
The judge nod and stated "Permission granted"
Soon the doctor who treated Rachel, walked up to the witness box.
"Dr. Edward, Can you explain in what condition Mrs. Frensby was in when she came to you?"
"Yes," Dr. Edward quickly agreed, "On that day, when Mrs. Frensby came to me, it was really unexpected how a woman in that state need to still walk herself to the hospital."
"Herself?" Kevin asked
"Yes, she came alone. We quickly proceed with her treatment and found that her 3 ribs were broken and 12 fractures. Not only this her whole body was covered with blue and purple bruises. An-"
Kevin cut him off seeing the judge expression "Well, Dr. Edward. Were those bruises indicates heavy beating?"
Dr. Edward quickly agreed "Of course, they were not something a person can do to himself by his own"
"Seeing you this confident, you look like you have a great experience about this" Kevin asked with a sly devilish smirk,
Dr. Edward frowned and hesitant. He couldn't tell where this all is leading to.
"Your honor, how does Dr. Edward experience or inexperience leads to this case. Mr. Miller is just wasting court time"
Kevin annoyingly sighed before turning to judge and stated in a loud voice "Your honor, it is totally interesting to the case, Well if Dr. Edward is experienced then he should tell us that if any violence or I should say excessive violence done against any person their body automatically turn to defensive mode to protect themselves and try to survive. Am I right Dr. Edward?"
Dr. Edward look at the judge and then nod "Yes, You are correct but-"
Kevin cut him off again "So Dr. Edward can you tell the court that you have seen any defensive bruises on Mrs. Frensby's body or not?"
Dr. Edward look at Scarlet and helplessly stated "No, there was no sign of defense"
Scarlet grabbed her hand into a fist as she stared at Kevin in anger.
"That's it, Your honor. Now to clear my point I want to call Mrs. Daisy, Dr. Edward's wife in the witness box"
Judge without any hesitance granted the permission,
"Now, Dr. Daisy. I have heard you are a great psychiatrist and Mrs. Frensby was visiting for a really long time. Am I right?"
Daisy give a disgusting look to Kevin, before agreeing "Yes, Rachel was my patient and we knew each other for a long time"
Kevin nod as he continued to ask "What happened to Mrs. Frensby that she was your patient for this long"
Daisy stopped for a while, she doesn't want this lead to anything against Rachel but she could tell just by looking into Kevin's eyes that at this rate they will lose the case.
Kevin smirked seeing the look on Daisy's face and asked again "What happened Dr. Daisy tell us?"
