"I'll flank them from the right!"
"Move our mortal forces to the back!"
"Our reserves need replenishing, we will proceed with the sacrifices."
Currently a plethora of gods were in a high intensity conversation. They were in a war council with Ra seated in a very important chair while Set was spearheading the entire operation.
"The Japanese forces are closing in. Their shinobi have infiltrated several bases, we must root them out."
"Their samurai warriors are tough adversaries, we must deal with them."
"The monster legion for Loki's forces are in full swing. His children are swarming the lands"
Legend has it this rogue deity birthed several unholy monsters. There are even rumors he did it with a horse! (Hint: 8 legged horse)
The children of his children make up several members of his army. Various monsters such as fenirs and poisonous serpents.
"It seems that he has also hired some frost giants. They are freezing the land into a frozen waste land and wreaking havoc on the ecosystem! We need to rain down fire and destroy them!"
Amidst all the chatter stood a parrot sized bird. It could not follow the conversation at all so it gave up and was currently sleep standing-er perching like a cute mascot on a pirate ship.
Various animal gods from the Egyptian realm ordered their animal servants to rush towards their enemies.Gods and goddesses of hippos, camels, hawks, scorpions, and other animals of the desert unleashed their minions to clash with the opposing enemies.
The current war situation was split into mainly three parts. The major forces were Loki's monster children and the frost giant mercenaries. The next were the mortal forces of the Japanese forces led by Amaterasu.
They each split a dimensional portal and invaded small worlds ruled by lesser gods and slowly moved towards the bigger and more plentiful planets. They never fully took over and mainly plundered resources and faith. They kidnapped mortals to "reeducate", and "reform" to become brainwashed slaves to produce faith along with plundering natural resources to nurture their own planets and worlds.
The frost giants breathed breaths of air that froze even the hot deserts of their worlds. They were a land of sun and sand so many of their gods are highly proficient in fire and earth magics. They countered their dreadful freezing abilities with fire magics and were currently pushing them back for now.
The mortal forces of the Amaterasu wiled their one sided blades, the katana and sliced warriors with precision. To the back were the archers, shrine priests and Onmyōdō who threw talismans and erected barriers. The water gods are flooding them out and barricading them with raging rivers the best they can to slow them as much as possible. The problem were the evasive shinobi that are hidden within and would make fatal assassinations at times.
On the Egyptian side, compared to the samurai they are lightly armored and hacked limbs with their sickle sword, the khopesh. They too had archers and magicians where mystic hieroglyphs flash when they invoke magic.
They may be mortals, but make no mistake they are a vital chess piece in the game. The gods form both sides lend a partial bit of their powers to them. The armor and weapons have been augmented with divine power and boosted their abilities several fold.
Previously they were going to give up some worlds to be more passive, but with Set spearheading the offensive he unleashed a ghastly mist of faith that drove many warriors to enter a berserker like state and greatly enhanced their attacks. Horus was constantly on high alert and closely monitored Set. While he was technically the ruler of the realm, it was only by name. Many other powerful gods are eyeing his seat or dont fully acknowledge him.
Perhaps it was the still present presence of Ra and shows just how revered Ra is to the realm. He still treats Horus as a child and doesn't let him take full control and hold a great deal of power, perhaps if it was his father Osirus it would have been a different matter...
None the less Horus was the new star and a fresh youth, his tale of avenging his father brought him great faith and fame. His faith point has reached the hundred billions. He was only able to achieve this due to his tale, but he wondered just how did Set get so much that he could wantonly share it with the other gods?
He had to keep his uncle in check. While he wasn't the leader he was still quite involved and had a lot of say. When he and the rest of the gods were done, the crowd dispersed and the only one left was a sleeping little parrot.
"Snore~ tweet, snore~ ", its little snore sounded like a high pitch whistle. Horus looked at it and shook his head with a smile.
Horus guessed that his little sibling had utterly no idea what was happening. He was amused more than angry at the fact that the little parrot didn't listen at all. They were in the middle of war and this little one can still peacefully take a nap.
He really hoped that they could have bonded more over their sparing lesson.
The sleeping parrot: I don't!
But it was a time of war and he had no time, to play big brother. He hoped nothing would happen and it was just a precaution, but they were short handed and he had nobody else to trust, in light of Set's growing popularity.
"Hey Little Sun… I have a mission for you." , Horus said as he shook the little thing awake.
"H-huh, squawk?"
