Back into Lin Yingue's room...
Lin Yingyue opened her eyes and felt her head hurt so bad.
"You're awake, Yingyue!" Fu Liuyang said, "does your head hurts? Here, drink some water."
Lin Yingyue grabbed the glass of water and gulped it down. She looked at Fu Liuyang and smiled, "Thank you, Fu Liuyang."
"Waaah, I'm so sorry! I should have arrived earlier!" Fu Liuyang hugged Lin Yingyue and cried.
"Why are you crying? I'm alright, now." Lin Yingyue removed herself from Fu Liuyang's hug and tap her back.
"I'm really okay, now. Stop worrying already, okay?" Lin Yingyue smiled. Although, she knows she's still not feeling fine but she has to show to everyone that she's okay. She doesn't want anybody worrying about her.
"Has Aunt Zhi Rou finished cooking? I'm starving. What time is it?" Lin Yingyue asked. She's not lying. She's really hungry. She hasn't eaten anything since morning.
"Oh, right! Let's go down and eat!" Fu Liuyang helped Lin Yingyue get down from her bed.
"I'm really alright now, Liuyang. Look" she then proceeded to do a few stretches to show Fu Liuyang that she's good.
Fu Liuyang sighed. She knows that Lin Yingyue is just pretending to be fine because she doesn't want them to be worried. 'Ahh, why was my best friend born from a stupid family? She's not a fool, she's a precious gem!' Fu Liuyang bitterly smiled. Although some of her relatives dislike her because she's the only grandchild of the Fu family and she's a girl at least her parents and grandparents cherish her. But her best friend, her stupid Lin family doesn't even want her and treats her like dirt. They will know soon how stupid their decisions were and regret how they treated her.
They went downstairs and met with Li Qiang and Zhang Jin.
"Master," they both vowed.
"Have you found about that person, Zhang Jin?" Lin Yueying was referring to the 'wild man' that took advantage of her.
"No, Master. It seems like someone has deleted the video footage." Lin Yueying was not surprised. It was probably Lin Ling. She probably deleted the footage of her carrying Lin Yueying and putting her inside the room. But, why would she also delete the footage of the man entering the room? Wouldn't that let her have a solid proof that there was indeed a wild man that entered the room? Because the only thing that she showed the Lin family that allowed her to be framed was the video of her going out of the room with hickeys all over her. Unless there's another person involved and doesn't want to let anybody else know who that person is? But why protect that person? Was he a politician? A public figure? Impossible. Lin Ling wouldn't let me have sex with such big figures. Unless he was a criminal!
Lin Yueying's gaze dimmed and her hands clenched. Lin Ling, you're going to pay for this.
"Zhang Jin, give me the list of subsidiary groups under Lin Airlines."
"Here, Master." Lin Yueying grabbed the files and looked into it. She found Ling Fashion Industry, from the name itself you know that it's Lin Ling's.
"Find out where they get their fabrics and buy all of them. Tell them that we're starting a fashion company."
Lin Yueying then faced Fu Liuyang, "I know you don't want to handle your family's real estate company and want to start a fashion line. You have always helped me and are always there for me. I would talk to uncle about your company and help him so you don't have to worry about this. I promised you before that I'll let you enter the fashion industry. Now, I want to fulfill my promise, Liuyang, would you like to be the one in charge of this project?"
Fu Liuyang was surprised and started crying. Lin Yingyue remembered her promise to Fu Liuyang! She met Lin Yueying back in high school. She had an argument with his father and was crying behind the abandoned building in their school then it started raining. She suddenly felt that the rain stopped when she was crying and she then looked up and saw Lin Yueying holding an umbrella while giving her a handkerchief.
"You'll catch a cold," she said. Fu Liuyang gulped. She loves to watch drama but she knows that this type of scene should have been with a guy and not a girl!
"Th...thank you," she grabbed the handkerchief and wiped her tears.
"If you're going to cry, you should do it beside a river," the girl said.
"Why?" Fu Liuyang was confused. Is this girl going to tell me to jump in the river?
"Because when you cry beside the river, it would also cry with you and you'll feel at ease because you'll feel that you're not alone," she then removed the umbrella and looked up and let the rain caressed her face "I guess you're not alone though, at least the rain cried with you."
Fu Liuyang also looked up and let the rain pour down on her body. They stayed like this for a few minutes and the rain slowly stopped. Fu Liuyang got up and raised her right hand for a handshake.
"I'm Fu Liuyang. Nice to meet you."
"Lin Yingyue." She then shakes the hand of Fu Liuyang. Fu Liuyang was surprised. Lin Yingyue was infamous for being a fool and always pestering her step-sister Lin Ling, the hottest girl in the campus. But looking at Lin Yingyue now, she finds her beautiful, the most beautiful woman she has seen. And she doesn't seem like a fool. She looks more lady-like and refined than most girls she has met!
Lin Yingyue bitterly smiled, "I guess you've heard about my name."
Fu Liuyang felt guilty. It looks like she has hurt her feelings and she was being nice to her just a moment ago.
"I'm sorry, I was just confused and got mesmerized by your beauty." Fu Liuyang suddenly realized what she said and blushed. This is embarrassing. I'm a girl! Why do I feel nervous around her?
"It's alright. But why are you confused?"
"Oh, it's because you just don't seem like what the rumors say. You look smart and refined, more lady-like than anyone I have seen. And, you're nice too. You're also so beautiful." It's Lin Yingue's turn to be shocked. No one has ever complimented her before aside from her mother and aunt Zhi Rou.
"I'm sorry. I don't mean harm. I just want to be honest and you helped so..." Fu Liuyang tried to explain her self.
"Thank you." Lin Yueying genuinely smiled and Fu Liuyang was blinded by her smile. 'A goddess!' she thought.
"I'm happy. It's the first time someone has ever complimented me so I didn't know what to say. Thank you, Fu Liuyang."
"No one? Really? With that kind of face, how could someone miss that perfection!?" Fu Liuyang fumed. Lin Yueying laughed and shrugged.
"Wait, I'm curious. You don't look like you're a fool like what the rumors say?" Fu Liuyang was really curious. No matter how much she looks at her, she doesn't look like she's a fool!
"My family doesn't want me." Fu Liuyang was taken aback. Lin Yueying's voice was so cold.
"Your mother and father?" She was curious. How can someone not like their own children?
"My mother's already dead. My father hates me." Fu Liuyang remembered that Lin Ling is actually her step-sister. She understood and she suddenly felt sad for her.
"How about your grandparents?" If her father doesn't want her, then grandparents should want her right?
"My mother's parents' abandoned us. My father's parents don't know how I've been treated."
"But why won't you tell them?"
"I couldn't get out of the house. I'm being locked up every time I go home so I can't get out." Fu Liuyang was saddened for her. She suddenly felt guilty. She was mad at her father for not allowing her to enter the fashion industry and she feels like they don't like her. But here, she met Lin Yueying who was really abandoned by her own father and it looks like she have been mistreated a lot.
"Why are you crying again, Fu Liuyang?" Fu Liuyang realized she was already crying.
"I'm sorry. It's just that I realized how petty I was. I was crying here because I had a fight with my father for not allowing me to enter the fashion industry and thought he hates me already. But you," Fu Liuyang wasn't able to continue what she was trying to say because she started crying profusely.
"Hey, it's alright. Everybody is different. One could be strong or weak or could even be both so you don't have to compare your situation to mine. Different people have different ways and perspectives on how they can cope up with the situation they are in. So, you don't have to feel guilty. As for me, I've become used to it already." Fu Liuyang's crying got even worse.
"Hey, stop crying! It's really alright." Fu Liuyang slowly stopped crying and was already having hiccups. Lin Yingyue let out a small laugh. Fu Liuyang was mesmerized again. Ah, Lin Yingyue you're turning me into a gay!
"You're really pretty Lin Yingyue!"
"Stop flaterring me already, Fu Liuyang. It'll get into me." Lin Yingyue was not lying. She's really not used to someone complimenting her.
"But it's true! Anyway, thank you so much, Lin Yingyue. Uhm, can we be friends?" Fu Liuyang was nervous. She never asked anyone to be her friends. Whereas for, Lin Yingyue was startled. She never had any friends before, she doesn't know how to respond.
"Lin Yingyue, are you alright?" Lin Yingyue suddenly became frozen and Fu Liuyang was scared.
"Yes, it's just, I never had any friends in my life before."
"Really?! Well, then, let's be friends for life!"
"I don't have anything with me though, Fu Liuyang." Fu Liuyang suddenly realizes that Lin Yingyue is so thoughtful and funny too. She suddenly feels like she found her best friend. She has a lot of friends but she knows that they're just befriending her because they're currying favor from her. None of them was her real friend. So she's really happy that she gets to meet Lin Yingyue.
"But I can promise you that I would let you enter into the fashion industry." Lin Yingyue said with a resolution. Fu Liuyang didn't take her seriously and just laughed at her.
"You're really funny, Lin Yingyue. Alright, alright. I'll thank you in advance, then."
Going back to the present...
Fu Liuyang thought before that she was just joking and trying to make her better but now. Lin Yingyue is really giving her an opportunity. She's happy. She's glad that she got to meet Lin Yingyue and she promises that she'll always protect her at all cost.
"You silly, I promised, remember. I'll never forget because you're my only friend."
